INSTALL SD CARD AND BATTERY
To supply power for the camera, 4 or 8 size AA batteries are needed. Confirm that the power switch is in the OFF position; load fully charged batteries into the pack according to the polarities signs shown in Fig4. The following batteries with 1.5V output can be used:
- High-density and high-performance alkaline batteries (Recommended)
- Rechargeable NiMH batteries
Inserting TF Card
Camera itself has no storage space to store the photos. You need to insert a
TF card to let the camera work correctly. You can use any TF card (C10 or
above type) size up to 128G. The camera will not work without a TF card
inside. There are 8 battery slots. A minimum of 4 batteries are required to
power the camera, but it is recommended to use 8 batteries for a longer
battery life and to give the camera a longer working time.
- Open the camera by unlocking two side locks.
- Open the battery cover. (Right side)
- Place at least 4 AA batteries into the slot.
- 32 GB SD card has been installed into the memory card slot.
Note:
- Do not mix old and new batteries.
- Do not mix different type batteries.
- Take out batteries if you don’t use your camera for a long time.
- Format your TF card regularly. This can be done by setting (Ref. 4.21.Memory Card Format). When your camera takes a image, the camera will scan all the images on the TF card to determine what images need to be uploaded. The more images on your TF card, the more data the camera has to process on each connection that consume more battery power.
CUSTOMIZING CAMERA SETTINGS
PR6000 camera has rich camera scene settings, with the help of camera scene, you can easily choose different combinations of shutter speed and exposure time according to particular cases.
MODE
Press the MENU button. You will see the screen shown in *Fig 5.
Motion Detection
When choosing Motion Detection, the PIR is active.
Any motion(animals or humans) that is detected by PIR will trigger camera to
capture a photo or video according to the preset PIR sensitivity and PIR
Interval.
After your camera enters the ON mode in Motion detection mode, the PIR is
active and camera will start working (the working state will be based on your
setting: photo or video or photos video, photo and video resolution, number of
photos, recording time, detection interval time etc.)
The setting of interval time allows your camera to reduce or eliminate false
triggers. After your camera is successfully triggered and working, it will
enter the cooling countdown, until next triggered, and start working again.
Reference 4.9.Detection Delay.
Timelapse Normal
When choosing Timelapse normal, camera takes photos or videos even when it is
not triggered by a nearby animal, useful for constant monitoring of an area
that might be far away from the camera. The interval time between each
photo/video is set in hours, minutes, seconds.
After your camera enters the ON mode in Timelapse Normal mode, the camera will
start the countdown to work according to your preset time. The camera will
capture photos based on your setting: photo or video or photos video, photo
and video resolution, number of photos, recording time, etc.).
Timelapse Video
In Timelapse video mode, the camera will combine all the photos into one
slide.
After your camera enters the ON mode in Timelapse Video mode, the camera will
start the countdown to Mwork according to your preset time. The camera will
capture photos based on the setting of interval time, and you can get some
photos as it is working continuously. Then you can view all these photos of a
certain time by one slide.
Work Time
The camera can just work at a preset time and preset days. In the rest of the
time the camera is under standby mode.
- ON: It means enable the function of working time.
- OFF: It means the camera will work all the time.
Photo or Video
There are three options for you to choose.
You may select photo or video or photos video and press OK to confirm.
Photo resolution
There are seven options for you to choose. Select Photo resolution. Higher
resolution produces better quality photos, but creates larger files that take
up more of the TF card space and fills it up faster. It provides,
48MP,36MP,32MP,24MP,20MP,16MP 8MP,4MP,2MP. Default set is 8MP.
Video resolution
There are three options for you to choose. Select Video reso- lution (in
pixels per frame).
- 4K(3840*2160,30fps)
- 720P (1280×720,30fps)
- 2.7K(2560×1440,30fps)
- 1080P(1920×1080,30fps)
Photo Burst
There are five options for you to choose shown in *Fig8.
Select desired number for photos. To take continuous photos after one trigger
if the setting is 2P or above.
Audio Recording
There are two options for you to choose:
-

The camera can record the sound while take video. -
OFF: It means the camera works under the function of audio recording not enable.
Video Length
Video length is the length per captured video clip.
The video length is from 5 Sec. to 10 Min.The default setting is 10 Sec. For
saving power, it is better to set the video length within 20 Sec.
Detection Delay
In Motion Detection option of Mode, when choosing the length of time, e.g. 30
Sec. any motion (animals or humans) that is detected by PIR will trigger
camera to capture a photo or video, the camera will not take images during the
selected interval 30 Sec. This prevents the TF card from being filled with too
many redundant images. Default set is 30 Sec.
PIR Sensitivity
There are three options for you to choose shown in *Fig14.
The camera monitors temperature of ambient conditions.
On cold days it is advised to choose Low or Middle, on hot days it is better
to choose High to be more sensitive to slight variations in temperature.
When the PIR is triggered the camera takes a image. At times, the PIR will
trigger and there won’t be anything in the image. These are called “False
Triggers” and are the result of placing the camera in an environment where
tree branches, grass, leaves, etc, are blowing in the wind and creating
motion. Sunlight can also cause false triggers as the PIR sensor is reading
the sun beam as hotter than the surrounding environment. Setting a camera up
over water is also a potential cause for this issue.
The mobile trail camera use a passive infrared (PIR) sensor to detect when an
object passes in front of it.
Follow the following tips help you to reduce or eliminate false triggers.
There are three options for you to choose shown in *Fig16.
Choosing On, the side motion sensors will be activated.
When any of the two side motion sensors detects a fast moving animals or
humans about 130° from the lens (5- 15m), the camera be pre-activated. If the
moving motion enters the detection area of the center motion sensor about 60°
from the lens(5- 15m), the camera will start taking images according to the
settings, otherwise the camera will re-enter standby mode again.
Motion filter
There are two options for you to choose shown in *Fig18.
- ON: It means enable the function of filtering false shots after PIR is triggered.
- OFF: It means the camera works under the function of motion filtering not enable.
Motion Test
This function helps you aim and test the camera at target area.
Fill Light Distance
There are three options for you to choose shown in *Fig22.

SENSING ANGLE AND DISTANCE TEST
To perform the sensing angle and monitoring distance of the camera test:
- Toggle the power switch to (TEST .
- Make movements in front of the camera at several positions within the area where you expect the object will be. Try different distances
- If the red indicator LED light blinks, it indicates that position can be sensed. If it does not blink, that position is outside of the sensing area. The results of your testing will help you find the best placement when mounting the camera.
MOUNTING CAMERA
When setting up the camera for scouting game or other outdoor applications,
you must be sure to mount it in place correctly and securely. We recommend
mounting the camera on a relatively straight tree with a diameter of more than
15cm (6 in.), make sure the tree is large enough to not sway in the wind as
this can cause a false trigger. Position your camera facing north or south. If
you position your camera aiming east or west your camera tends to have a
greater frequency of false triggers due to the rising or setting sun passing
through the frame.
To get the optimal photo quality, the tree should be about 5 meters (16 – 17
ft.) away from the place to be monitored, with the camera placed at a height
of 0.75 – 1m (2.5 – 3.5ft.). Attaching your camera too low can result in
getting too many pictures of small non-targeted creatures. Placing your camera
too high and facing downward can cause the camera to pick up shadows and the
changes in ground temperature.
Also, keep in mind that you will get the best results at night when the
subject is within the ideal range,no farther than 30m(98ft.); and no closer
than 3m(10ft.) from the camera.
To enhance the flash, we recommend positioning camera in an area with a
backdrop to reflect the maximum amount of light.
Clear all vegetation from in front of the camera.
Any small limbs, twigs, leaves, or grass blowing in the wind can trigger a
false image.
Test the camera. After following the steps above to ensure it is not something
environmentally driven or a result of the settings, please follow step:
Take your camera and place it facing a blank wall on a sturdy surface.
FILE FORMAT
