SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS

Dear Customer, if you follow the recommendations contained in this Instruction Manual, our appliance will give you constant high performance and will remain efficient for many years to come. Read the operating instructions carefully before putting the appliance into operation and keep the instructions including the warranty, the receipt and, if possible, the box with the internal packing. If you give this device to other people, please also pass on the operating instructions.

General Safety Instructions

  1. This appliance can be used by children aged from 8 years and above, if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of appliance in a safe way and understand the hazards involved. Cleaning and user maintenance must never been carried out by children, unless they are over 8 years and under supervision.
  2. Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the appliance.
  3. Keep the appliance and the cable cord out of the reach of children less than 8 years old.
  4. WARNING: In order to ensure your children‘s safety, please keep all packaging (plastic bags, boxes, polystyrene etc.) out of their reach.
  5. If the supply cord is damaged it must be repaired by the Authorized Service Agent.
  6. Never pull on the cord when unplugging.
  7. Do not use the unit with a damaged cord or plug, or if it is not working properly.
  8. Do not handle the appliance with wet hands.
  9. Never immerse the appliance in water or any other liquid.
  10. Make sure the appliance has been unplugged before cleaning.
  11. This appliance must be installed following the national regulations for electrical installations.

  13. WARNING: In case of misuse, there is a risk of possible injury.

SPECIFIC SAFEGUARDS

  • CAUTION: The surface can remain hot during or after use.
  • To disconnect, remove plug from wall outlet. Always hold the plug. But never pull the cord.
  • Be careful not to get burned by the steam.
  • Do not touch hot surface. Use handles or knobs only.
  • Never use the appliance if the carafe shows any signs of cracks. Only use the carafe with this appliance. Use carefully as the carafe is very fragile.
  • Never use your coffee maker without water in it.
  • Stand the appliance on a table or flat surface.
  • This appliance is intended to be used in household applications such as:
    • Reserved kitchen areas for staff in shops, offices and other working environments.
    • Farms.
    • By clients in hotels, motels and other residential environments.
    • In environments such hotel rooms.

BEFORE FIRST USE

Check that all accessories are complete and the unit is not damaged. Add water into water tank to the MAX level and brew water for several times without coffee powder, then discard the water. Clean all detachable parts thoroughly with warm water.

USING YOUR COFFEE MAKER

  1. Open the tank cover and fill fresh water. The water level should not exceed the max level as indicated on the water tank. Replace the tank cover.

  2. Swing the funnel support out and place the filter in the funnel, and make sure it is assembled correctly.

  3. Add coffee into filter. Usually a cup of coffee need a level spoon of coffe, but you may adjust according to personal taste.

  4. Insert the jug on the keeping warm plate horizontally.

  5. Plug the power cord into the outlet.

  6. Pulse the switch, the indicator will be illuminated. The appliance will begin working. The brewing process can be interrupted by pulsing the switch at any time. The appliance will continue brewing once the switch is turned on again.

  7. Note: you can take out the jug, pour and serve at any time. The appliance will stop dripping automatically. But the time cannot exceed 30 seconds.

  8. Remove out the jug to serve when finish brewing (about one minute later after the coffee stops dripping out.)
    Note: the coffee you get will be less than the water you have added, as some water is absorbed by coffee.
    Caution: When pour coffee, the momentary incline angle of the jug should not exceed 45°. You should pour the coffee slowly until the jug is empty, otherwise the coffee in the jug will rush to the jug lid, and the coffee will flow out from two edges of the lid and will cause scalds.

  9. When the process is finished, if you do not want to serve immediately do not unplug the power without pulsing the switch. The coffee can be kept warm during 30 minutes and then the device will stop. For an optimum coffee taste, serve it just after brewing.

  10. Always turn the coffee maker off and unplug the power cord from the electrical outlet when the coffee maker is not in use.

CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE

CAUTION: Be sure to unplug this appliance before cleaning. To protect against electrical shock, do not immerse cord, plug or unit in water or liquid. After each use, always make sure plug is first removed from wall outlet.

  1. Clean all detachable parts after each use in hot and sudsy water.
    Note: the funnel can be removed from the column to cleaning. When assembling, only insert the column of funnel into the groove of the appliance.

  2. Wipe the product’s exterior surface with a soft, damp cloth to remove stains.

  3. Water droplets may buildup in the area above the funnel and drip onto the product base during brewing. To control the dripping, wipe off the area with a clean, dry cloth after each use of the product.

  4. Replace all parts and keep it for next use.

REMOVING MINERAL DEPOSITS

To keep your coffee maker operating efficiently, you should clean away the mineral deposits left by the water regularly according to the water quality in your area and the frequency use the appliance. Follow the next instructions:

  1. Fill the tank with water and descaler to the MAX level in the gauge of coffee maker (the scale of water and descaler is 4:1). Please take into consideration the descaler’s instructions. Please use “household descaler”. You can also use citric acid instead of the descaler (the one hundred parts of water and three parts of citric acid).
  2. Push the jug on the base. Pay attention to let center line of jug aligns with that of brew basket.
  3. Pulse the switch and the indicator of it will be illuminated. After a while, water will drop out automatically.
  4. After percolate the equivalent of one cup and pulse the switch to turn off the appliance.
  5. Leave the solution work for 15 minutes, and then repeat the steps of 3-5 again.
  6. Turn the appliance on and run off the water until the water tank is completely empty.
  7. Rinse by operating the appliance with water at least 3 times.

Disposal of old electrical appliances.

The European directive 2012/19/EU on Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE), requires that old household electrical appliances must not be disposed of in the normal unsorted municipal waste stream. Old appliances must be collected separately in order to optimize the recovery and recycling of the materials they contain, and reduce the impact on human health and the environment. The crossed-out “wheeled bin” symbol on the product reminds you of your obligation, that when you dispose of the appliance, it must be separately collected. Consumers should contact their local authority or retailer for information concerning the correct disposal of their old appliances.

DECLARATION OF CONFORMITY: This device complies with the requirements of the Low Voltage Directive 2014/35/EU and the requirements of the EMC Directive 2014/30/EU.

CERTIFICATE OF GUARANTEE

We hereby certify that the equipment stated in this Guarantee Card has gone through strict quality control checks and bears a full Guarantee of 24 months, which shall come in force from the date of purchase. During the 24-month guarantee period, the present certificate covers repairs, workmanship and spare parts for all manufacturing defects, however, this guarantee does not cover those defects that have been caused due to the following: defects of installation, blows, bad use, breakage of plastic parts and external causes not related to the equipment. This guarantee does not include installation and maintenance. This certificate of guarantee is cancelled on those accessories and components that are worn due to continuous use. Those that are perishable, such as plastic components, glass, lamps, filters, rubber or enamelworks get worn due to wrongful use or reaction to outside agents such as heating, wáter or chemical products. The present certificate of guarantee shall be nullified if the equipment is handled by any unauthorised personnel.

Customer’s rights:

  • The seller should be responsible over the customer in the event of lack of conformity when the product is purchased. It is recognised the right of the customer to get the product repaired, substituted, decreased its price or the resolution of the contract.
  • The present certificate is only valid if it is accompanied by the receipt or invoice of purchase.
