Measure Your Cat
- A) Head Girth
- B) Neck Girth

- When measuring, please take your cat’s girth measurement snugly against his/her fur, and then add 2-3 cm to that measurement for comfort.
- Beyond that, your cat’s head girth should be larger than the Minimum Neck Girth for each size, or your cat may slip out.
How to Introduce the New Harness to Your Cat
First of all, most felines need some time to get used to this new feeling of wearing a harness, so patience is a must.
- To allow your cat to get familiar with the harness and leash, place them beside your cat’s food dish or the sleeping area for a few days.
- When putting on the harness, treat your cat with food or toys, so that your cat can form a positive association with it.
- Remember to keep praising your sensitive friend during the whole process.
- If your cat keeps showing uncomfortable or frustration, take the harness off and try again later. Never force your cat to wear the harness, because your cat may come to hate the harness or even get injured.
How to Put on the Harness
- Step 1: Unsnap both buckles and loosen the straps. We recommend you first loosen all the straps and then adjust and tighten them after putting the harness on your cat.
- Step 2 : Slip the neckpiece through your cat’s head and adjust the neck-straps to fit your cat. The logo “rabbitgoo” should be up on your cat’s front chest, and the D-Ring should be on your cat’s back.
- Step 3: Arrange the bottom straps between your cat’s two front legs, under the belly.
- Step 4: After properly positioning the harness on your cat’s body, clasp the straps using the two side buckles. Be sure to buckle both sides up.
- Step 5: Adjust the chest straps to ensure that the harness is secure, but not too tight. You can slide the adjuster and pull or push the strap through the adjuster to create a good fit.
- Step 6: Check the fitting using the 1-Finger Rule: You should be able to fit one finger between the harness and any part of your cat’s body so that the harness fits snugly without restricting your cat’s movement.
Important Tips:
- The harness should fit below your cat’s neck so it won’t put pressure on the throat.
- To double-check if the harness is adjusted properly, try to move the harness side to side, making sure it doesn’t slide over too far to one side or another (Tighten the straps if it happens). It should also not restrict your cat’s movement or rub against his/her skin (Loosen the straps if it happens).
How to Leash Train Your Cat:
- First, attach the leash to the harness and start walking around the house a few times.
- After your cat is completely relaxed with the harness on, take your cat to a safe, quiet place near your house, and start motivating your cat to walk.
- If your cat gets frightened, return indoors. Take the whole process slow and allow your cat to adjust.
- While walking, guide your cat with gentle sideways pressure on the leash, but never let him/her pull back on the harness or try to escape.
- Remember to take your cat’s favorite treats with you and reward your cat for any small advances.
- Keep praising your cat and show how much you love him/her.
