How to Introduce the New Harness to Your Cat

First of all, most felines need some time to get used to this new feeling of wearing a harness, so patience is a must.

To allow your cat to get familiar with the harness and leash, place them beside your cat’s food dish or the sleeping area for a few days.
When putting on the harness, treat your cat with food or toys, so that your cat can form a positive association with it. Remember to keep praising your sensitive friend during the whole process.
If your cat keeps showing discomfort or frustration, take the harness off and try again later. Never force your cat to wear the harness, because your cat may come to hate the harness or even get injured.

How to Put on the Harness

Step 1:
Unbuckle the back buckle and lose the magic tape.
Step 2:
Make the back of the harness upward, and then let your pet’s front legs through two circular holes.
Step 3:
Pick up two ends of the harness, and then secure the magic tap on your cat’s back snugly.
Step 4:
Clasp the buckle to keep the harness secured. Then slide the adjuster and pull or push the strap to create a good fit.
Tips:
- The upper picture refers to the slider’s position for the shortest straps.
- The lower picture refers to the slider’s position for the longest straps.
- You should be able to fit one finger between the harness and any part of your cat’s body.

Important Tips

The harness should fit below your pet’s neck so it doesn’t put pressure on the throat.
To double-check if the harness is adjusted properly, try to move the harness side to side, and make sure it doesn’t slide over too far to one side or another (Tighten the straps if it happens). It should also not restrict your pet’s movement or rub against his/her skin (Loosen the straps if it happens)
