OPERATION

  • Long press the button “POWER” to turn on the radio, the screen will show “ON.”
  • Long press the button “POWER” again to turn off the radio.
  • Press the button “”MODE” to select FM, AM, SW\WB or BT mode. The BT pairing name is 1199.
  • After selecting FM/AM/SW band, short press the button” TUN+ ” or ” TUN- ” to plus or minus the station frequency. Lo ng press button “ TUN+” or “TUN-” to scan a new station automatically, the scan will stop when new station is located. Meanwhile, please extend the antenna to adjust its direction to enhance reception.
  • Press the volume button” + ” or – “to adjust volume up or down. The volume ranges from 1to 30 levels.

CAUTION

  • Long press the “Power” button in any band, the screen will show time directly, please press “TIME” button to adjust the time if necessary.

WEATHER ALERT

  • Press “MODE” button to switch to “WB” mode.
  • Long press “SCAN” to auto “WB” mode, the digital screen will show “ALERT”.
  • The radio will emit an alarm, and the torch and SOS light will flash alternately when get any WB information. The weather radio will not get weather information, the torch and SOS light will turn off if press any button, then press “MODE” button to exit.
  • Long press “SCAN” to exit “ALERT” mode if get no weather information.

FLASHLIGHT

  • Turn on the weather radio firstly. Then press the first button on the side of the radio for the first time, the spot light will turn on.
  • Press it for the second time, the flood light will turn on.
  • Press it for the third time, spot & flood light will turn off.

PHONE CHARGING

  • This feature is only for charging the devices during. emergency. Do not use it as a normal power bank.
  • The supplied charging cable is only for charging USB type-C phone devices. Other devices should be charged by using original charging cables.

POWER OF THE RADIO

Before powering the radio, make sure you read the safety instruction.
(A)By USB Power Source.

  • To charge the radio, insert the supplied USB cable into the USB charging adapter. Insert Type-C connector of USB cable into the input port of the radio.
  • The battery power sign on the screen will move up and down when charging, and it will stop moving when the battery is fully charged, which typically takes 3-4 hours.
  • When completely charged, the battery will deliver about 72 hours for radio play (depending on the sound volume) or 120 hours for spot light or flood light or 160 hours for reading lamp.
  • It’ s advised to turn off the radio when the device is being charge.

(B)Hand Crank Dynamo

  • The radio can also be charged by turning the handle on the back of the device and activating the dynamo.

  • The handle can be turned either clockwise or counter-clockwise. The charging indicator also light up when the handle is being turned.

  • Spin the handle for 3 to 5 minutes at the speed of 130-150 RPM When low battery. One minute of winding gives 5 minutes of radio play (at medium volume) or 15 minutes of light.
    (C)solar Powered

  • The radio’ s battery can be charged by the solar panel on the top of the device. Try to place the device in clear sunlight to let it charges as efficiently as possible.

  • The charging indicator should light up when the radio receives enough sunlight to start charging up.

  • The charging effect depends on the strength of the sun’s rays. The stronger the light, the better the effect.

  • Kindly remind that it’ s difficult to fully charge the unit with the solar panel, which is mostly used for maintaining the battery.
    (D)AAA Dry Batteries

  • Remove the battery compartment cover which is on the back of the device, then insert 3pcs AAA batteries into the compartment.

NOTE

  • Ensure the negative(-) end is placed against the spring. There is a priority to use AAA dry batteries.
  • Remove the AAA dry batteries when they are not in use.
  • In any condition, press the key “Reset’, the unit will revert back to the original.

EARPHONE JACK

  • You can freely listen to the radio to enjoy your leisure when insert the 3.5mm earphone jack.

SOS ALARM

The SOS alarm has three modes.

  1. Press the SOS button with 3-5 seconds one time, it will be activated SOS alarm and SOS flashing light pattern at the same time.
  2. Press it again to turn off SOS alarm, the SOS lights keep flashing.
  3. Press it third time to turn off SOS flashing lights, keeps SOS alarm.
  4. Press it fourth time to turn off alarm and lights.

READ LAMP

  • Open the solar panel, then long press the middle button on the side of the radio, the reading lamp will light up brightly.
  • Press it again, the read lamp light will turn warm.
  • Press it third time, the reading lamp turn off, and close the solar panel.

  • When radio was firstly used or steed aside for more than 60 days, please placed under strong solar light (daylight>86000LUX) for 30 minutes or handcar for one minute to activate the battery.

  • The back light will close automatically if no operation more than 10 seconds.
