Thank you for purchasing this product. Please read the instructions carefully
before using your KCT-73MIC.
KCT-73MIC is an external microphone for NX-5000 series mobile transceiver.
PRECAUTIONS
- This product is not waterproof.
- Do not pull excessively the cable because it will break.
- Do not drop the microphone; strong impacts can damage the internal components.
- Do not disassemble or modify the microphone for any reason.
- Do not use the microphone except for NX-5000 series mobile transceiver.
- Do not install or wire the microphone over the airbag cover or in a location that will interfere with the safe operation of the airbag.
INSTALLATION
- Check the installation position of the microphone.
- Remove oil and other dirt from the installation surface.
- Install the microphone as below to secure the safe driving.
- Wire the cable up to the unit with it secured at several positions using tape or the like.
- Connect 2 wires to the mobile transceiver via DB25 terminal on the back side of the mobile transceiver or to the optional KCT-72 cable that is connected to KRK-14H or KCH-20R.
DB25 terminal …………………….White wire to Pin 6, Black wire to Pin 25.
KCT-72 ………………………………..White wire to Pin 4, Black wire to Pin 5.
