BATTERY CHANGE

  1. The battery should last several years of use, if kept away from moisture.
  2. Should the battery require changing then open the battery compartment under the unit.
  3. Replace the 18650 Li-lon battery observing correct polarity.
  4. Close the battery compartment cover.

IMPORTANT SAFEGUARDS AND PRECAUTIONS

SAVE THESE INSTRUCTIONS

  • Read all instructions carefully and keep for future reference.
  • If you plan not to use the unit for a length of time, remove the batteries.
  • DON’T throw the battery in fire or dispose of in household waste. Consult your local authority in the correct way to dispose of unwanted batteries.
  • DON’T short-circuit the supply terminals of the batteries.
  • Always check the correct polarity when inserting batteries. Incorrect polarity can damage this unit.

OPERATION

  1. Allow at least 7hrs of daylight to fully charge the unit before use. Whilst there may be some charge in the battery when received, it is always best practice to allow charge first.
  2. Twist the On/Off dimmer switch clockwise to turn the lamp “on”. The switch will click to indicate there is power to the unit.
  3. Continue to twist clockwise or anti-clockwise until the desired dimmer setting is achieved.
  4. The solar panel will continuously charge the battery whilst there is low daylight.
  5. Twist the On/Off switch anti-clockwise until it clicks to turn off the lamp. The solar panel will continue to charge the battery even when off.

Note: This product is weatherproof from light rain showers. It is not suitable for use in extreme weather conditions. Do not submerge the lamp in water.

Disposal of Electrical and Electronic Equipment
Do not dispose of this product with household waste. For the proper treatment, recovery and recycling please take this product to the appropriate waste collection point. If you are unsure where this may be, please contact your local authority. Improper disposal may be harmful to the environment.

PRODUCT END OF LIFE AND BATTERY DISPOSAL
The rechargeable battery contains substances that may pollute the environment. At end of life for the product, always remove the battery and separate before you discard the product at your local waste collection point. Both battery and product should be disposed separately. If you have trouble removing the battery, then you should contact a qualified technician or authorised service centre.
Contact your local authority for details and locations of official waste collection points. Do not dispose of batteries or product with normal household waste.
