Prior to each use, check the anti-block shield, float valve, and exhaust valve for obstruction. Wipe the heating plate and the inner pot’s surface and be sure the exhaust valve is in the correct location. Be sure to check the pressure release devices for clogging incidences prior to each use and refrain from covering pressure valves.
Cooking Preparation
- Be aware that certain foods, such as applesauce, cranberries, pearl barley, oatmeal or other cereals, split peas, noodles, macaroni, rhubarb, or spaghetti can foam, froth, sputter, and clog the pressure release device (steam vents). These foods should only be cooked in a pressure cooker with caution with the inner pot never more than 1/2 full and using natural release.
- Never fill the unit over MAX level (2/3 full). When cooking foods that expand during cooking, such as rice or dried vegetables, do not fill the unit above the halfway point. Overfilling may cause a risk of clogging the vent pipe and developing excess pressure.
- This appliance cooks under pressure. Improper use may result in scalding injury. Be sure the unit is properly closed before operating.
- Never deep fry or pressure fry in the unit with oil. It is dangerous and may cause a fire or serious damage.
Operating Instructions

- To disconnect, turn the control setting off and remove from the wall outlet.
- Always unplug from outlet when not in use, before removing parts and cleaning. Allow to cool before putting on or taking off parts, and before cleaning.
- A short power supply cord is provided to reduce the hazards resulting from entanglement and tripping. An extension cord may be used if care is exercised in its use. If an extension cord is used, the electrical rating of the cord must be at least 20 amps and 120 volts. The extension cord must be arranged so that it will not drape over edge of table or counter where it can be pulled by children or tripped over accidentally. This appliance has a fitted plug. Do not attempt to modify the plug in any way.
SAVE THESE INSTRUCTIONS
This appliance has a polarized plug (one blade is wider than the other). As a safety feature, this plug will fit in a polarized outlet only one way. If the plug does not fit fully in the outlet, reverse the plug. If it still does not fit, contact a qualified electrician. Do not attempt to defeat this safety feature.

Cooking Preparation

Open the cover correctly
Hold the cover handle in a counter clockwise rotation of approximately 30′ until the cover marking “▼” aligns with the outer casing’s ‘open’ marking. Then lift the cover. -
Check whether parts on the cover are mounted properly
Check the float valve and exhaust valve for obstruction, and confirm whether such parts as gasket and anti-block shield are installed properly. -
Remove the stainless steel inner pot, proceed with placing food and water within.
Total amount of food and water shall not exceed the MAX level of inner pot height. -
Put the inner pot in the electric pressure cooker
Before insertion, remove any foreign objects or water droplets from the inner pot surfaces. After insertion, rotate the inner pot slightly to ensure adequate contact between the inner pot and heating plate. -
Close the cover completely
Hold the cover handle in a clockwise rotation of approximately 30s until the cover marking “▼” aligns with the outer casings close marker. -
Proper positioning of the exhaust valve
- Align the exhaust valve handle with the sealing icon to maintain airtight cooking conditions.
- When exhaust specs are required, align the exhaust valve’s small handle with the icon until an indication shows that the cooker is in the exhaust position.
- When in sealing zone, inspect whether the float valve has fallen, as it does prior to heating.

Switch on
The nixie tube flashes and displays a red horizontal line “—”, indicating that the electric pressure cooker has entered preparation state. -
Select a required function level
- Once a function key is pressed, the indicator of a corresponding function level will illuminate (red);
- The rice congee function and cake function are only applicable to products with such function.
- Cooking time varies with different function level. The bigger the food amount, the longer the cooking time. The cooking times listed in the table below are only for reference (e.g. food amount + water = 8 scales): Cooking time = heating time + holdup time

Select a function and within 10 seconds the cooker will perform the function corresponding to the selection
Within 10s, you can re-select preset time and function level, and finally confirm that the electric pressure cooker will start work in 10s after selection.
The red horizontal line “—” on the display screen is bright, indicating that the electric pressure cooker has entered working state.
During the operation, you can cancel current working state and return to standby state by pressing the “Keep Warm/Cancel” key. -
After cooking, enter the warm-keep state automatically
After cooking, a corresponding function indicator goes out, the warm indicator illuminates , the display screen shows “0.0”, and gives out the prompt sound (10 beeps), with the electric pressure cooker going into warm state.
In standby mode, press the “Keep Warm/Cancel” key, the warm indicator illuminates , and gives out the prompt sound (1 beep), indicating that the electric pressure cooker goes into warm state
Warm Tips
- During any operational mode, press “keep warm/ cancel” to return to standby mode.
- A “cluck” sound during use is not indicative of a malfunction.
- When cooking low amounts of food, removing the cover may result in suction of the inner pot. Manually shift the inner casing to remove it

Exhaust method

A. Quick opening method Slide the exhaust valve to the exhaust position until the float valve falls. (for non-fluid food) Allow the pressure cooker to cool naturally until the float valve falls. (for non-fluid food)

B. General opening method
Have the pressure cooker to cool naturally, until the float valve falls. -
Open the cover
- Hold the cover handle firmly, turn the cover clockwise to the spacing edge, and pull up the cover.
- Do not open the cover until pressure inside the pot is released adequately .
- Never pull out the exhaust valve when it is exhausting.
- For fluid foods (porridge and sticky liquid), do not slide the exhaust valve for exhaust when cooking is just finished, and otherwise the food will eject from the exhaust valve core. Be sure to disconnect the power supply, have the unit cool naturally or put a wet towel around the cover to speed up cooling until the float falls, and finally open the cover.
- When large quantity food cooked, do not exhaust immediately after cooking. It is recommended to open the cover and consume food once it is been in keep warm mode for some time.

Select a corresponding function level
- When any function key is pressed after preparation, a corresponding function indicator illuminates, and the pressure cooker will perform the cooking procedure of the corresponding function level. Adjust default is “Normal” level.
- Once a function level is selected, you can also select another function level within 10s, and the pressure cooker will perform the cooking procedure of the finally selected function level.
- If selection of another function is impossible after the pressure cooker enters working state, you can cancel the operation by pressing the “Keep Warm/Cancel” key for selection.

Select adjust by pressing “Adjust” key
After the “Adjust” key is pressed continuously, the screen displays Fragrant, Standard and Full cyclically. when one Adjust is selected, corresponding text appears on the screen.“soup” “Congee” “Meat/Chicken” “Bean/Tendons” have Adjust function. -
After cooking, the unit will automatically revert to its keep warm state.
After cooking, the warm indicator illuminates and the unit will go into warm- keeping state. Prolonged warm-keeping is not recommended.

Select a corresponding function level
When any function key is pressed after preparation, a corresponding function indicator illuminates; you can also select another function level within 10s. (To cancel the operation, press the “Keep Warm Cancel” key) -
Press “Timer” key to Set end time of cooking
- This product is equipped with 24 hour default function, to be operated as indicated. Within 10s after function selection, press the “Timer” key to set a cooking end time. Once the key is pressed, the screen displays “Timer End Time 2.0 ”, To press the “+” or “-” key to adjust the appointed time.
- Timer time shall not be more than 24h, if so, it will return to “2” .
- After completion of seting, the time displayed on the screen means working end time of pressure cooker. (to cancel the operation, press the “Keep Warm Cancel” key)

After cooking, the unit enters the warm state automatically
After preset cooking time is complete, the warm indicator will illuminate and enter a keep warm state. Prolonged keep warm status is not recommended.
Cooking Examples
Steam Function
(This function shall be read selectively on the basis of actual model and configuration of products) Steam function time may vary with food selections, you can choose the duration of pressure induced time at your discretion.
When cooking a food not current function level or a food cooked with current
function level failing to meet your Adjust requirement, you can utilize the
cooking/braising time function, to achieve optimal cooking effect.
Less time is consumed for certain foods, as opposed to others. Example: you
need about 3 min to cook fish, but about 20min to cook beans and tendons.

- By pressing the “Steam” key, select cooking time.
After the “Steam” is pressed, the “Steam” indicator illuminates, with the cooking time to be previously set time (for first time, use default 30min) by pressing “+” and “-“, adjust the cooking time between “0” and “60” min.
You can select the pressure holding time according to personal taste, food and cooking experience.
When cooking or braising food, water added shall not be less than 2 cups of water, the table belown shows approximate time required for food cooking after 2 cups water is added (time in this table is for reference only). You can select pressure holding time according to personal tastes, and cooking experience.
The set time means pressure holding time, I. e. the time shown on the screen during time setting

10s after selection, prompt music gives out, the screen shows pressure holding time, and the pressure cooker performs the cooking and braising function.(to cancel the operation press the “Keep Warm/Cancel” key)
- After cooking, you can open the cover to enjoy the food.
After prompt music gives out, the “Steam” indicator gives out, the warm indicator illuminates, with the unit going into warm state; at this moment, you can open the cover to enjoy the tasty food.

Cooking Rice
Tip: method of rice storage
- Store it in a cool and dry place;
- Pay attention to shelf life of rice;
- Odor may occur if rice is retained for a long time;
- Do not buy too much rice at one time.

Measure the rice portion with a measuring cup and clean it One measuring cup of rice is about 150g, a portion served for one person;
It is recommended not to wash rice in the inner pot; Correct methods of using the measuring cup: -
Add water to corresponding water level
- Put the cleaned rice into the interior pot and fill it with water to a corresponding water level;
- The scale line inside the inner pot means the one for cooking reference water level; Example: to cook 2 cups of rice, add water to the scale line “2”;
- Water quantity can vary with rice category and hardness of rice, but never have water to exceed the MAX level inside the inner pot.

Replace the wiped inner pot to the cooker body
After putting in, rotate the inner pot lightly from left to right to ensure full contact between inner pot and heating plate. -

Press the “Rice” key
At the moment, the “Rice” function indicator illuminates, with other function indicators going out.
The electric pressure cooker begins cooking within 10s after selection. -
After cooking, the unit enters warm state automatically
Cooking time is around 35min, but the time may
slightly vary with rice amount or rice quality; -

After cooking, the rice is recommended to be served after 1-3 min warm-keep, but long time warm-keep is not recommended to avoid influence on rice quality.
Keep Warm Function
After cooking, the electric pressure cooker goes into the warm state automatically; in the warm state, the warm indicator is bright, and “OH” is shown on the display screen;
- You can also in standby perform the warm function by pressing the “Keep Warm/Cancel” key;
- The warm-keep temperature is 60-80°C;
- Optimal warm-keep time is less than 8 hours.

Cleaning
- After each use, give timely cleaning of the product.
- Before cleaning, unplug the unit and carry out cleaning and maintenance after the product cools down completely.
- Take out the cover and inner pot, wash them with a detergent, rinse with fresh water and then wipe them dry with a soft c loth.
- Using clear water, clean the cover, including the gasket, exhaust valve, anti-block shield, exhaust valve core and float valve, and wipe it clean with a rag. After cleaning install it on the cover correctly .
- Clean the cooker body with a rag. Do not immerse the cooker in water or wash with splashing water.
