LEXMARK X6100 Series Cartridges Scanner Driver

Safety information

• Use only the power supply provided with this product or the manufacturer’s authorized replacement power supply.
• Connect the power supply to an electrical outlet that is near the product and easily accessible.
• Refer service or repairs, other than those described in the user documentation, to a professional service person.

Instruction For Use

CAUTION: Do not use the fax feature during a lightning storm. Do not set up this product or make any electrical or cabling connections, such as the power supply cord or telephone during a lightning storm.

1. Raise the paper support and extend the paper exit tray.
   

2. Load paper, and then adjust the paper guide.
   

3. Open the scanner unit.
   

4. Unlock the scanner.
   

5. Close the scanner unit
   

6. Connect the power supply and the telephone line. See your User’s Guide for various configurations.
   

7. Replace or add an overlay, if necessary
   

8. Press Power

9. Press to scroll, and then press Select to enter your default language, and then your default country.

Press the keypad to enter the date, time, and fax number.

1.  **01/20/03** Press **Select**
2.  **01:30** Press **Select.**
3.  **01234567890** Press **Select.**

10. Open the scanner unit.
    

11. Remove the packaging and tape.
    

12. Insert the print cartridges.
    

13. Close the scanner unit.
    

14. Press Select, Select, Select to verify the cartridges you installed.
    

15. Press Select to align your cartridges.
    
    If you are using your All-In-One with a computer, continue with the following steps.
    If you are using your All-In-One without a computer, you are finished.

16. Turn your computer on.
    

17. Connect the USB cable.
    

18. Important! Click Cancel on all New Hardware screens.
    

19. Insert the CD.

Follow the instructions on the computer screen.
