The product we have sent to you was packaged in either wood chips or peat
moss. This is done to ensure that the produvt arrives fresh and healthy.
The bareroot items you ordered are living plants.
There will be some size variance between each bareroot in your package. These
items have been measured and graded prior to shipping.

Choosing a Location
When deciding where to plant, please consider the unique needs and features of this variety:

Planting Instructions
Although all of these items do well in average well-drained soil of all types, for optimum results you can improve your planting success as follows:
For optimum results, plant as follows:
- Spade or Rototill the soil to a depth of 12”
- It’s Always good to add organic matter to you soil. You can mix in a 2-4” layer of dehydrated manure, garden compost, shredded leaves and/or peat moss.
- Dig a hole large enough to spread out roots without bending them. Set crown with buds about 2” below the soil surface.
Continuing Care
Watering| Water well.
Keep soil moist but not soggy.

Mulching| Apply a 2-4” layer of mulch to promote moisture retention, maintain
even garden soil temperatures
Weeding| Keep your area around your plants free of weeds. Weeds compete with
all plants for food water and light.
Walk around the garden periodically and pull weeds.
Grooming| Remove spent flower stems after flowering to maintain an attractive
bush type perennial all summer long.
Feeding| Discontinue any foliar or liquid feed by early September.
Your plants want to harden off for Winter dormancy.
Winterizing| In zones 3-7 dig the bulbs in the fall before the first frost.
Store them indoors ina cool dry place for the winter. Let the bulbs dry and
cure for a few weeks prior to storing.
In zones 8-10 apply a small layer of winter mulch.

- Your bulbs are shipped to you with the utmost care.
- Once planted the may take 2-4 weeks, depending upon the weather conditions, to wake up and start growing.
- You can be assured they wil begine setting roots once planted.
- They will grow very quickly and amaze you with their performance.
- We urge you to plant your new arrivals as soon as possible.
- In the event that planting must be delayed please keep these bulbs in a cool, dark dry place for a short period of time.
CAUTION
Not all plant material is edible. Though most plants are harmless, some
contain toxic substances which can cause headaches, nausea, dizziness or other
discomforts. As a general rule, only known food products should be eaten. In
case of ingestion, please contact your local poison control center at once and
advise them of the plant ingested.
