YES ® VM
VM Vaginal Moisturiser
Please read this leaflet carefully before use.
YES® VM water-based organic vaginal moisturising gel provides long-lasting
moisture to dry vaginal mucosa. pH matched and similar in texture to the
vagina’s own lubrication, it restores and stabilises the protective acidity of
the intimate environment. YES® VM is a natural alternative to synthetic
chemical intimate moisturisers and is hormone free.
YES® VM is intended for use by adults and is not intended for use on broken or
damaged skin.
Causes of vaginal dryness
Vaginal dryness/atrophy is a common problem caused by a reduction in natural
moisture in the vagina resulting in internal or external itching, irritation
or discomfort.
Temporary vaginal dryness – can be caused by extreme stress, childbirth,
breastfeeding, oral contraceptives, certain antidepressants or antihistamines
.
Longer-term vaginal dryness – generally caused by low oestrogen levels e.g.
during the menopause, surgical menopause, use of Gonadotrophin Releasing
Hormone (GnRH) agonists to manage conditions such as endometriosis and uterine
fibroids, treatments for pituitary microadenoma, hormonal cancer treatments,
radiotherapy to the pelvic area, diabetes, inflammatory bowel disease, chronic
bowel disease, multiple sclerosis or chemotherapy.
Benefits of YES® VM
YES® VM provides symptomatic relief from vaginal dryness/atrophy associated
with menopause, postpartum period (puerperium) and medical conditions
including, but not limited to, gynaecologic cancer-related treatments. YES® VM
also provides lubricity to facilitate sexual activity and medical
examinations. User studies show that YES® VM is fast-acting and long-lasting,
replenishing intimate moisture safely and naturally.
Applying YES VM
YES® VM in tubes or sachets is designed for finger application, simply squeeze
the gel on to your finger-tips to apply the desired amount to the vaginal
tissues and/or labia.
Application Frequency
Typical vaginal dryness – apply 5ml every 2–3 days (YES® VM provides moisture
for up to 3 days).
Severe dryness – apply every 1–2 days until improvement is gained.
To alleviate painful sex, apply as required before intercourse.
How does YES® VM work?
Physical protection – YES® VM adheres to the vaginal walls providing gentle
physical protection to sensitive tissues.
Smart water release – YES® VM is iso-osmotic, releasing water to dry tissues
as needed (water is released more rapidly when tissues are drier)
allowing the cells lining the vagina to absorb the water they require to
regain their natural structure and elasticity.
pH matched – Vaginal dryness is often accompanied by a change in pH caused by
low oestrogen levels. YES® VM is pH matched to healthy vaginaltissue (pH4)
which helps to restore vaginal health.
Possible side effects
Side effects related to reinstating vaginal pH – you may experience some
irritation, itching or burning whilst vaginal pH is restored to normal levels.
Rare side effects (affecting less than 1 in 1,000 people) may include
discharge or infection. YES® VM is not made with any known allergens, however
there remains a remote possibility (as with anything applied to the body) that
sensitisation/allergic reaction may occur.
WARNING: If irritation occurs, discontinue use. If symptoms persist seek
medical advice.

Interactions with vaginally applied medications/examinations
YES® VM can be safely used with silicone vaginal dilators / trainers
/menstrual cups and natural rubber latex or polyisoprene condoms. WARNING: Do
not use with polyurethane condoms.
CAUTION: YES® VM is not a contraceptive or spermicide. YES® VM should not
be applied at the same time as other medications such as vaginal HRT, vaginal
antifungal or antibacterial medications without consulting your pharmacist /
physician. YES® VM can be used in vaginal examinations e.g. the standard smear
test. Not suitable for use with the ThinPrep Pap test.
Storage
Replace cap after use. Store in a cool dry place (5 – 30°C). Keep out of
direct sunlight. Use before expiry. Once opened, use applicators /
sachetwithin 48 hours and tubes within 4 months.

Directions for use – YES® VM in pre-filled Applicators
Pre-filled, single use applicators allow YES® VM to reach higher into the vagina, delivering moisture and lubrication to the source of discomfort.
- Shake down the applicator
- Twist off the top
- The applicator can be inserted according to personal ease and preference:
- Once inserted, squeeze the end of the applicator several times to release product
- When emptied, squeeze the end of the applicator to withdraw it safely. Do not re-use – Risk of Contamination.
- Dispose by recycling (where facilities exist)
