2005 + Xterra T-Case Skid – Installation Instructions

Thank you for your purchase. We are confident you will enjoy it for many years and it will serve you good. If you have any questions about the installation, please let us know.

Prep Work

1. Paint or powder coat the skid plate before installing it.
2. Clean them very well with a coarse/medium 80-100 sand paper and then with a light solvent.
3.  Prime the skid – one light coat (but better follow the manufactures specs) – Dupli-Color or Rust Oleum works
4. Apply Paint or Bedliner
5. Let it dry overnight in a well ventilated area.

Included Parts

•  Skid Plate
• 3 – M8x1.25×30 Bolts
• 1 – ½”-20×1 ½” Bolts
• 1 – Hex Nuts ½”-20
• 1 – ½” Lock Washer
• 1 – ½” Washer

Tools Required

• 19mm Socket
• 3mm Socket

Installation

It is recommended to start installing in this order: Gas Tank – T-case – Transmission – Engine – Radiator.

1. Place Floor Jack under the center of the T-Case Skid Plate, roll it under and raise it into place

2. Line the front slots of the skid plate up with the crossmember stock threaded M8 holes. Fasten with M8 bolts.– LEAVE IT LOOSE.

3. Raise the skid into place, lining the rear ½” holes up with the stock holes of the t-case
   Crossmember (console). Fasten with a ½” x 1 ½” long bolts using washers and lock nuts. The fender washers go on the top of the crossmember. – LEAVE IT LOOSE
   IMPORTANT: If you have the gas tank skid also – install the first bracket belonging to this – first. This will be mounted on the top of the rear crossmember (console) between the T-case skid and the crossmember.

4. Center the skid plate

5. Tighten all bolts.
