Safety Warning Instructions

1. Do not open the upper cover of the machine or touch the print head when the printer is working or has just finished printing.  Overheating may cause burns.
2. Use the adapter provided by our company. Improperly connected adapters may cause fire, explosion, or damage to the printer.

Printer Connection

Power Connection

Ensure that the power switch is in the off (0 symbol) state. Connect the power cord to the printer.

NOTE: This is a reference diagram of the power connection, the power cord may be slightly different, some receipt printers have a power adapter built into the printer.

USB Connection

Connect the printer and computer via a USB cable.

LAN Connection

You can also consider connecting the printer via a LAN cable. Connect the printer to the router with a network cable. Through the router’s LAN, the printer can be connected to the computer in the same IP address.

• This ZYWELL Print Driver Installation Manual provides instructions for installing the ZYWELL Print Driver on Windows operating systems and Mac OS systems. Product specifications or user manual contents are subject to change without notice.

About this item

• Wall Hanging Design： ZY908 thermal receipt printer with two hanging holes on the bottomsupport wall mount hanging. It can be placed according to your needs, on the wall or checkout counter.
• Large paper warehouse： Supports paper rolls up to 3 1/8″ (80mm) in diameter, enabling you to reduce the number of paper changes.

Connection

Printer Connection

• For Windows platform, we recommend the use of a USB interface; of course, LAN(Ethernet)， Bluetooth, and WiFi interfaces support the Windows platform, depending on the model you ultimately buy.
• If it is a Mac computer platform, we recommend that you buy a receipt printer with a WIFI interface.

Power Connection

• Ensure that the power switch is in the off (0 symbol) state.
• Connect the power cord to the printer.
• NOTE ：This is a reference diagram of the power connection, the power cord may be slightly different, some receipts printers have a power adapter built into the printer.

USB Connection

• Connect the printer and computer via a USB cable.

LAN Connection

• You can also consider connecting the printer via a LAN cable.
• Connect the printer to the router with a network cable, through the router’s LAN, the printer can be connected to the computer in the same IP address.

Cash Drawer Connection

• Connect the cash drawer cable to the printer’s cash drawer interface.

Loading Paper for Receipt Printer

• Paper Size: 80mm -20mm.
• Paper Installation   : Press the cover button on the left side of the printer to open the top cover.Drop the thermal paper roll in the hole, the correct direction of paper is shown below(facing up).

Print Self-Test

The self-test function checks the printer’s current settings, status and whether there are any problems.

1. Confirm that the power is connected and the paper is loaded correctly.
2. Confirm that the printer is turned off (0 symbol) and that the printer cover is properly closed.
3. Press the paper feed button and the power button at the same time, keep them pressed, and release the above 2 buttons when you hear a loud noise.

The self-test page can be printed out without any problems, which means that there is no problem with the printer, and the next step is to install the computer print driver.

Windows Driver Instruction

Warning

• The driver installation interface will be slightly different under different operating system versions of Windows. Please follow the instructions. The following screen takes Windows 11 as an example.

ZYWELL Driver Installation for USB/Serial Port

1. Double click POS Printer Driver
2. Click YES
3. Depending on the USB or Serial cable, there are two different options here

• For USB cable : Select ①Windows OS/②Printer Interface(USB)/③Receipt Printer(POS-80C), Click ④Install Driver.
• For Serial cable : Select ①Windows OS/②Printer Interface(COM)/③Receipt Printer(POS-80C), Click ④Install Driver.

1. Click OK
2. Click Yes. POS printer driver is installed successfully

ZYWELL Driver Installation for Bluetooth Port

1.  Click Bluetooth & devices on Settings.
2. Click Printers & scanners.
3. Click Add device.
4. Click Printer001（default value.
5. Enter passcode 0000 default value.
6. Click POS Printer Driver.
7. Select ①Windows OS/②Printer Interface(BLE)/③Receipt Printer(POS-80C)/ Click ④Install Driver.
8. Click Yes. POS printer driver is installed successfully.

ZYWELL Driver Installation for WIFI Port

1. Click “PrinterTest”.
2. First make sure that you have connected the printer to your computer with a USB cable, select USB Connections, and then select Advanced.
3. Click Set Net.
4. Ensure that the printer is connected to your home network by entering the WIFI account and password to which the printer can be connected，①Enter your WIFI account ②Enter your WIFI password ③Click Setting ALL ④Click Set above contents.
5. Click POS Printer Driver.
6. Select ①Windows OS/②Printer Interface(LAN)/③Receipt Printer(POS-80C), Click ④Install Driver.
7. Click Yes. POS printer driver is installed successfully.

ZYWELL Driver Installation for Ethernet(LAN) Port

1. Select ①Windows OS/②Printer Interface(LAN)/③Receipt Printer(POS-80C), Click ④Install Driver.
2. Click Yes. POS printer driver is installed successfully.

Mac Driver Instruction

Warning

• The driver installation interface will be slightly different under different operating system versions of MacOS. Please follow the instructions. The following screen takes MacOS 12 as an example.

ZYWELL Driver Installation for MacOS

1. Click MacOS Driver.
2. Click Continue.
3. Click Continue.
4. Input password and click install.
5. The installation process ends successfully.

Add ZYWELL Label Printer via USB port

1. Open the System Preferences and click Printers & Scanners.
2. Click [ + ].
3. Click ①USB, Click ②USE
4. Click [Select Software].
5. Click [POS-80], Click OK.
6. Click [Add].
7. The printer name appears in the printer list, it means that the printer had been added successfully.

Add ZYWELL Label Printer via WIFI

1. Enter keywords “Printer tool”in the Apple Store search bar.
2. Click “GET”.
3. Enter your Apple account password.
4. Click OPEN.
5. Ensure that you have connected the printer to your computer via the USB cable (MAC adapter is in the box), then click on USB, and finally click on Connect.
6. Click OK.
7. ①Click WiFi ②Enter your WIFI account ③Enter your WIFI account password ④Click Set.
8. ①Click IP ②Enter the IP address of the printer (according to the self-test page “STA IPADDR”) ③Click Set.
9. Click Printers and Scanners.
10. Click +.
11. ①Click on the circle symbol ②Enter the IP address of the printer (according to the self-test page “STA IPADDR”) ③Click on the USE checkbox.
12. Click on the Select Software.
13. Click on the POS-80.
14. Click on the Add.
15. On the Installation Success page, the IP address of the printer is shown (red box).

Add ZYWELL Label Printer via Ethernet(LAN)

1. Make sure you have connected the printer to the router with a LAN cable, Click on the Printers and Scanners.
2. Click on +.
3. ①Click on the circle symbol ②Enter the IP address of the printer (according to the self-test page “STA IPADDR”) ③Click on the USE checkbox.
4. Click on the Select Software.
5. Click on the POS-80.
6. Click on the Add.
7. On the Installation Success page, the IP address of the printer is shown (red box).

Printer Maintenance

Print Head Cleaning

Notice

1. Please make sure power off when maintaining printer.
2. Don’t touch or scratch printing head surface, roller and sensor.
3. Avoid gas, acetone or other organic solvent.
4. Wait till alcohol completely volatilized ,close top cover and connect power again. Try print self test to make sure it works properlY.
