Operating Instructions

Adjusting Length

1. Loosen the stem’s lock nut clockwise.
2. Extend the stem as the arrow. Then turn the stem’s lock nut counterclockwise to lock it.
3. Hold the metal detector to make the search coil above the ground for about 1-5 cm (0.4-2inch) and parallel to the ground. Then rotate the Stem’s lock nut counterclockwise to tighten it. The tightness of the search coil can be adjusted by rotating the fixing knob. Do not over-tighten stem’s lock nut and the fixing knob.
   

Installing the battery

Your metal detector is powered by two AA battery.

1. Open the battery cover in the direction of the arrow.
2. Buckle the battery after matching the polarity. Then place battery into the battery compartment.

Caution

• Use only new battery of the required size;
• If you don’t plan to use the unit for a week or more time, remove the battery. The battery can leak chemicals that can destroy electronic parts.
• Change the battery if the low battery indicator on the LCD lights.

Assembly of Detector

1. Insert the coil cable Plug into 5 pin jack.
   

2. Secure nut on plug
   

3. Insert the upper stem into the jack connected with the control box
   

4. Secure with fixing knob
   

5. Loose the lock nut and lengthen the stem.
   

6. Tighten locknut counter clockwise.

Operation

1. Press the power switch to turn on the detector. At this time, LCD displays which means the detector is ready for operation.
2. Hold the detector in a comfortable position with the search coil in parallel with a flat surface where there is no metal objects.
3. Place a sample of coin on the ground, sweep the coil in side to side motion to find the sample.(Coins are not included）
4. During searching, LCD displays . When the detector finds a metallic object, beep sounds will be heard and LCD displays .
5. When LCD displays , replace the battery.

Hints for searching

1. The detector comes with motion detection mode. For finding metal targets, you have to move the coil or move the metal sample above the coil.

2. Sweep the search coil in a side-to-side motion.

3. Take your time. You may miss a target if you walk too fast. Never sweep the search coil as if it were a pendulum.

Handle the detector gently and carefully. Dropping It can damage circuit boards and cases and can cause the detector to work improperly.

Use the detector only in normal temperature environments. Temperature extremes can shorten the life of electronic devices, damage the cases of the detector.

Wipe the detector with a damp cloth occasionally keep it looking new. Do not use harsh chemicals, cleaning solvents, or strong detergents to clean the detector.

Keep the detector away from dust and dirt, which can cause premature wear of parts.
