TITAN TSPA35 Structural Wood Post Anchor Kit

Do not use on surfaces 30″ or higher (U.S.A.) or 600mm / 23.62″ (CAN) or higher UNLESS you build according to our Engineering Reports (See QR link below) AND obtain approval by your local authority.

Use only Stainless Steel Screws with Aluminum Decking. Sold Separately.

Installing on a wood frame surface requires a WOOD INSTALL KIT and is outside the scope of the engineering report.

STRUCTURAL WOOD POST ANCHOR KIT

(1) Base, (2) Set Screw Plates, (1) Tube,
(1) Bracket (4×4, soft wood only), (4) Set Screws,
(1) Threaded Stud, Concrete fasteners sold separately,
(2) Locking pins

TOOLS NEEDED

  • HAMMER

  • SOCKET

  • DRILL

  • SANDPAPER, PUTTY KNIFE, WOOD FILLER,

  • 1/2″ Twist bit

  • 1-1/4″ x 18″ Ship Auger

  • Wedge Bolts

  • 1/8″ Allen Key

  • Grease

  • POST WRENCH See step 11

  • Sold separately

INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS

  1. BORE 1-1/4″ diameter hole to 11-1/2″ deep.

  2. TAP tube into bore with V-CUT facing side of post.

  3. Tap tube flush with bottom of post.

  4. Mark the two locking pin hole locations centered over the postion of the tube.

  5. DRILL with 1/2″Twist bit to the opposite side of post.

  6. TAP the two locking pins into holes and set them 1/8″ inside of post.

  7. Strengthen softer woods. TAP the 4×4 SUPPORT BRACKET into base of 4×4 post in a circular pattern.
    Installation Instructions

  8. DRILL pilot holes with masonry bit.

  9. Adjust set screws with Allen key to level the base

  10. SCREW Wedge Bolts down.

  11. Use scrap material and 3-1/2″ screws to make post wrench.

  12. Hand turn post on threaded stud until firmly against base. Then use post wrench to turn another 180 degrees to remove any slack.
