High quality knives are an expensive investment that need protection in a busy kitchen environment. Left unprotected in a drawer, knives can pit, scratch, and dull quickly when they come in contact with other tools. AIRENA Culinary Knife Guards protect hands and keep knives sharp longer.
Use AIRENA’s Knives Like a Professional Chefs
If you want to maintain your kitchen knife like a professional Chefs, you only need to give it about two minutes of extra attention.
- Most importantly- to avoid rust, clean and dry them immediately after use.
- Hand-washing is recommended and drying it thoroughly after each use.
- Never put unprotected knives in a drawer, as they quickly become blunt there. You can use a wall magnetic strip for the knives. If you don’t want a magnetic strip mounted on the wall, buy a Blade Guard. This way you can put your knife in a drawer and keep the edge protected.
- Avoid cutting on hard surfaces that dull the edge of your knife, such as glass cutting boards. Softer cutting boards, such as polyethylene plastic cutting boards, are much easier on knives.
- Sharpening your knife according to your condition & frequency of use. A sharp knife not only cuts better but is safer than a dull knife. There’s a tendency to use too much force with a dull knife, lose control and cut yourself.

How to use a Whetstone

Firstly, please put the whetstone in water for 10 minutes

Keep the blade with whetstone in 15-20°

Honing the blade,pushed back and forth in evenly

Wipe off the blade stone pulp, keep the blade clean an dry
Please note:
Honing the blade both side, please keep the same angle and methods
How to Use a Honing Steel Rod
Please place heel of your blade at the top of honing steel rod at about15-20°, Hone the knife from heel to tip and repeat 2-3 time, then turn to another side of the knife until the blade is sharp.
