Product Usage Instructions
- Turn off the electric bike.
- Disconnect and remove the battery from the electric bike if possible.
- Remove all essential parts to get access to the motor connectors.
- Disconnect the speed sensor and display connectors from the motor, and then plug them into the female SpeedBox connectors.
- Connect the male SpeedBox plugs into the appropriate original connectors.
- Assemble the electric bike back to its original state.
- Turn on the electric bike.
- You can activate or deactivate tuning with the LIGHT button or by switching between two assistance modes twice (+ – + -).
Installation of SpeedBox
- Turn off the electric bike.
- Disconnect and remove the battery from the electric bike if it is possible.
- Remove all essential parts to get access to the motor connectors.
- Disconnect the speed sensor and display connectors from the motor, and then plug them into the female SpeedBox connectors
- Connect the male SpeedBox plugs into the appropriate original connectors.
- Assemble the electric bike back to its original state.
- Turn the electric bike on.
- You can activate or deactivate tuning with the LIGHT button or by switching between two assistance modes twice (+ – + -).
- You can set the maximum speed of electric assistance by switching modes three levels down and then three levels up (- – – + + +). An actual speed limit will be displayed after that.
- The maximum speed of electric assistance can be set by pressing the LIGHT button briefly or by turning the rear wheel 360°.
- The value of 15 km/h on the display corresponds with the limit of 15 km/h, 20 km/h corresponds with the limit of 20 km/h, 99 km/h corresponds with 99 km/h etc.
- The last displayed limit will be saved after 5 seconds of inactivity.
Notice
- When you ride an electric bicycle, there are many additional hazards that do not occur during normal cycling.
- When using SpeedBox products, the electric bicycle also does not meet the requirements of EN 15194 + A1, when the power of the auxiliary electric drive is not reduced or interrupted when reaching a speed of 25 km/h or more.
- Before installing and before any use of the SpeedBox products, make sure that their use is not in conflict with the laws of the country in which you intend to use your electric bicycle.
- In the EU Member States,an electric bicycle with a SpeedBox installed is considered a small motorcycle, which may entail the obligation to use a helmet, take out damage liability insurance (or other similar insurance), the registration of such a vehicle (including the location of the registration mark), including the necessity to hold the appropriate driving license, when the electric bicycle is operated on the road.
- The producer assumes no responsibility for damages caused by using the SpeedBox products.
- Electric bikes equipped with SpeedBox products are not allowed to be used on roads, bike paths and public spaces.
- An electric bike equipped with SpeedBox products can be used solely on your own property and entirely at your own risk
