1. What is JioMotive JCR 1440?
JioMotive JCR 1440 is a plug-and-play device that can be plugged into your
car’s OBD-II port. This intelligent device will help in monitoring your car’s
health, location and speed in real time as well as enable high-speed Wi-Fi.
2. Where can I purchase JioMotive JCR 1440 device?
You can purchase the product online from various channels like
RelianceDigital.in, Jio.com, Jiomart.com and other Jio
Authorized Channels.
3. How do I know where the OBD II port is located?
Most petrol vehicles manufactured post 2010 and BS4 Diesel Vehicles come with
an OBD-II port. To locate the OBD II port inside your car, please use OBD-II
Port Locator feature in JioThings app.
Go to MyVehicles page, click on hamburger menu” “, go to support, click on
OBD-II Port Locator and enter your car details in the form of Car Make and Car
Model. Based on the information provided, you will get the OBD II port
location inside your car.
If you are still unable to locate the position, please contact your car
manufacturer.
4. Is there a need of separate data plan for using Jio Motive device?
No separate data plan is required for using Jio Motive device. The Jio
Smartphone plan sharing concept allows user to replicate active Jio Smartphone
plan on Jio Motive device. This allows Jio Motive device to use the data from
active Jio Smartphone plan.
5. What is the usage fee for Jio Motive device?
In 1st year of device purchase no usage fee will be charged. 2nd year onwards,
a usage fee of Rs 599 per annum will be charged.
6. What will happen if I don’t pay platform fee of Rs 599 in 2 nd year?
You will not be able to see any data of your car in JioThings app.
7. How do I check whether the device is in good network coverage?
Please turn on the car engine and let the LED stabilize. If the LTE LED is
green / blue then the device is in good network coverage area. If the LTE LED
is red / red fast blinking then you are in weak/no network coverage area.
8. How does connectivity in the JioMotive JCR 1440 work?
JioMotive JCR 1440 device comes with an eSIM. You do not need separate KYC &
data plan for JioMotive device. You need to use your existing Jio Smartphone
plan to activate the JioMotive device from JioThings application. JioMotive
JCR 1440 utilizes the existing Jio Smartphone plan. Once activated, then you
can stay connected by using your Jio Smartphone plan for data usage.
9. How many devices can I connect on the JioMotive JCR 1440 hotspot
through the app?
You can connect up to 8 devices with your JioMotive JCR 1440 WiFi hotspot
10. How do I check whether the Wi-Fi is working on the JioMotive JCR 1440
device and if somebody is connected to the Wi-Fi?
Please turn on the car engine and let the LED stabilize. If the Wi-Fi LED is
blue solid then Wi-Fi hotspot is properly working on your device. If the Wi-Fi
LED is blue slow blinking then a certain device is connected on the Wi-Fi
hotspot.
11. Can I use the same device on a different phone number?
No. The device is mapped to a single number to prevent misuse and for ensuring
only you can access your vehicle data and add it to the your JioThings account
12. What is the warranty period?
Warranty period for the device is 1 year. For more details, please refer to
the Quick Starter Guide
13. Can I change Device IMEI? Can I replace the Dongle device, if in case
it is not working?
No, you cannot change Device IMEI. If the Dongle Device is not working, please
contact Customer Support.
14. Do I have to be in the vehicle with my phone for the App to work?
No, you can access the App from any remote location, if your phone is
connected to the Internet.
15. What is Jio Smartphone plan sharing (JioEverywhereConnect) service for
JioMotive JCR1440?
It enables you to share the same Jio number on your smartphone and JioMotive
device. Use the device at no extra cost of separate data plan. Your Jio
smartphone plan will be shared between smartphone and device for all usage.
Setup and Onboarding
16. How do I get started with the JioMotive JCR 1440?
JioMotive JCR 1440 is powered by the JioThings app. It’s a simple plug-and-
play solution that requires 3 simple steps:
a) Plug the device in your vehicle’s OBD-II port and turn ON your car
b) Install the JioThings application on your phone
c) Setup your vehicle by clicking on Add Vehicle from MyVehicles Dashboard and
follow the instruction on the JioThings app to enable the data plan on the
device. This unlocks a one-stop solution for all your vehicle-related needs!
17. Where do I find the OBD II port in the vehicle?
Location of OBD II port varies as per vehicle make and model. The image
below shows probable locations (A/B/C/D/E/F/G) of the OBD II port.Please check the OBD II port location of your vehicle from
JioThings application. Go to the burger menu, click on Support and click on
OBD II Port Locator. If you are still unable to locate the OBD II port, please
try to connect with car manufacturer to confirm the OBD II port location.
18. How can I connect the JioMotive JCR 1440 to vehicle?
To connect the JioMotive device to the vehicle, follow these steps:
a) Please make sure your car is in “Ignition OFF” state.
b) Find out the OBD II port location inside the car. The image below shows
probable locations (A/B/C/D/E/F/G) of the OBD II port.
c) Plug the device onto the OBD II port.
d) Now start the car engine. (Ignition ON). Wait for 3-4 minutes till all the
3 LEDs stabilize. Now your device is ready for use. 19. Where do I insert SIM in my JioMotive?
JioMotive JCR1440 comes with an eSIM, so it doesn’t require to physically
insert a SIM in the device.
20. What plans should I recharge with to use the JioMotive JCR1440?
JioMotive JCR 1440 works on Jio Smartphone sharing concept
(JioEverywhereConnect), which enables JioMotive to get activated and stay
connected by sharing your Jio phone number. You can continue to recharge your
Jio Smartphone number as per your needs. JioMotive will utilize the data
available on your Jio Smartphone number.
21. Can I add JioMotive device in JioThings app without plugging the
device in to the car’s OBD II port?
We request you to first plug in your JioMotive device to your car, turn your
car ON and then proceed to add the device in JioThings app. This will ensure
that the device has connected to the network when you setup the data plan for
your device.
22. How can I add my vehicle on the App?
To get started, please connect the Dongle Device to the OBD port of your
vehicle. You can refer the Quick Start Guide in the box for guidance on
installation.
Once you complete the Dongle installation, follow these steps to add your
vehicle on the App:
a) There are three ways to add the vehicle on the App:
- For first-time users, tap on the Add Vehicle button on the MyVehicles Home screen.
- Tap on the + (plus) icon on the top-right corner of the MyVehicles Home screen.
- Expand the vehicle list by tapping on the icon and tap on + (plus) icon next to Add Vehicle.
b) Add Device screen displays. Enter the Dongle Device IMEI number. Enter it
manually or scan the QR code available on the box and tap Continue.
c) On the Vehicle details screen, add all the vehicle details and tap icon.
Vehicle added successfully message displays on the screen.
d) You will be further prompted to Setup a Data Plan for your JioMotive
device. Follow the steps on screen to enable a data plan on the device using
your Jio Phone Number under the JioEveryewhereConnect plan.
23. Can I add multiple vehicles for the same account? What is the maximum
limit?
You can add up to 2 Jio Motive devices in one JioThings account.
24. How can I access Vehicles feature on JioThings App?
On the Home screen of the JioThings App, tap on MyVehicles to access the
Vehicles feature.
25. How can I change vehicle details?
To change vehicle details, tap on vehicle information icon on the vehicle
status bar to display Vehicle Profile details and tap on Edit icon.
26. How do I enable SIM connectivity of JioMotive JCR 1440?
JioMotive JCR 1440 works on Jio Smartphone plan sharing concept; this enables
JioMotive to get activated and stay connected by sharing your Jio phone
number. You Jio Smartphone number need to be an active number with data. Make
sure that you login to JioThings application with your Jio phone number and
proceed to add the device to your profile. Once your vehicle is added
successfully, you will be prompted to enable a data plan on your device using
the same Jio phone number.
27. What is Jio Smartphone Plan Sharing (JioEverywhereConnect) service for
JioMotive JCR1440?
It enables you to share the same Jio number on your smartphone and JioMotive
device.
Use the device at no extra cost. Your smartphone plan will be shared between
smartphone and device for all usage.
28. What is device IMEI?
IMEI or International Mobile Equipment Identity is a unique 15-digit code that
precisely identifies your dongle
29. Where do I find Device IMEI?
IMEI is printed at the back of the box the dongle comes in as well as on the
dongle.
30. Can we use JioMotive JCR 14400 device in another car?
Yes, it’s a plug and play device. Can be used in any car which supports the
OBD-II protocols mentioned in the QSG. But if the customer sets up a vehicle
profile for the old car, it would show the details for the old car until
changed by them on the app
31. Do I need to do a KYC for enabling the eSIM within the device?
No, the Jio number and connection will be the same as that of primary device
which is your smartphone. You don’t need to do an additional KYC.
32. Can I enable a data plan on JioMotive on a Non Jio phone number?
No! You can only avail JioMotive JCR 1440 services by activating its data plan
on the Jio number sharing plan. You will not be able to activate its data plan
otherwise.

33. What are the key features?
JioMotive JCR 1440 is powered by the JioThings app. This is an intelligent
solution that provides safe, convenient and smart driving experience to stay
connected with your car and with your family while on the go.
This ground-breaking solution empowers you to effectively monitor your car’s
health, location in real time, driving behaviour, provides real time alerts &
notifications, In-Car WiFi Hotspot (Connects up to 8 devices) and various
other smart features.
You can access all these features and information there-in on your smart phone
through the JioThings app
34. How to track my vehicle? How does vehicle tracking feature work?
- When the vehicle is moving, the Tracking card displays all tracking related information i.e. vehicle location, Speed (Km/hr.) and Engine RPM along with vehicle and device status.
- In event of connectivity failure, vehicle information icon displays red in color and redirects to last known location of vehicle on map, timestamp and error message.
- SOS option allows you to trigger emergency SMS or SOS call.
- If location of the vehicle is changed by more than 100 meters with ignition OFF, then you will receive the towing alert along with current location and time.
35. Where do I find all the information related to my vehicle engine?
To view the information related to your vehicle engine, tap on the Vehicle
Health card. You can view following information:
- Battery level (V)
- Coolant Temperature (°C)
- Air Intake Temperature (°C)
- Engine Load in (%)
36. How can I locate my vehicle in a parking lot? How does Walk to Car
feature work?
Walk to Car enables you to locate your vehicle and shows you the fastest route
from your current location to your vehicle. This feature will show the
location of the vehicle and your location, direction to reach the vehicle,
distance between them and the approximate duration to reach the vehicle.
To enable Walk to Car, follow these steps:
a) On the Tracking section, tap the Walk to Car icon.
b) Walk to Car screen displays your / mobile phone location and your vehicle’s
location.
c) Tap Navigate to see the detailed route information, estimated time to reach
your vehicle and vehicle location details on Google Maps.
37. How do I check my trip details?
The Last Trip card on the Vehicles Home screen gives the details of the last
trip taken by the vehicle. Tap on the card to see more detailed analysis of
trips taken. Trip Analysis data is saved after each trip.
You can view the following information:
- Trip start and end time and date
- Start and Last Location
- Distance
- Duration
- Average travel speed
- Number of halts and its details (time and duration)
- Idle Location details
- Map of route
- Driver performance (Star rating is calculated based on below parameters):
a. Harsh braking (No. of instances)
b. Rapid Acceleration (No. of instances)
c. Over-speeding (No. of instances)
d. Sharp Turn (No. of instances)
38. How to use SOS?
SOS helps to connect the emergency services and contacts that are already
saved in case of emergencies.
In case of emergency, you can tap SOS button to send out a message to your
Emergency contacts.
39. How to add a new Emergency Contact?
To add a new Emergency Contact, follow these steps:
a) Got to MyVehicles dashboard and click on SOS button on vehicle tracking
card.
b) On the Emergency Help screen, tap on plus button under the section Add
Emergency Contacts.
c) Select the contact from your contact list or enter the details manually and
tap on Save button.
40. Is there a provision to auto-send SMS with location/make call to my
emergency contact in case of accident?
Unfortunately no. In case of emergency, you can tap SOS button to send out a
message to your Emergency contacts.
41. What is Geofence?
Geofence allows you to create a boundary around the vehicle or at the desired
location where the vehicle might be parked or driven. You get notified
whenever the vehicle moves in and out of that fence. On the Vehicles Home
screen, tap the Geofence option under Fencing section to view the existing
Geofence and to create new Geofence.
42. Can I create multiple Geofence at the same location with minor
changes?
Yes, you can create multiple Geofence at the same location.
43. Can I associate my Vehicle to multiple Geofence regions?
Yes, you can associate your vehicle to multiple Geofence regions. Similarly,
you can associate multiple vehicles to a single Geofence region.
44. What will happen if the vehicle goes out of assigned Geofence
region?
If the vehicle goes out of Geofence region and if you have subscribed for the
Geofence Breach alert, then a Geofence breach push notification will be sent
to you. Geofence Breach alerts include Geofence entry and exit alerts.
45. What will happen if the vehicle moves immediately from one assigned
Geofence to other assigned Geofence region? Is it a Geofence breach?
Yes, as long as the vehicle is outside even of one of the created Geofence, it
would be considered as a Geofence breach.
46. Can I disable Geofence region for some time and enable it again?
There is no option to disable the Geofence region but you can remove the
vehicles associated with the Geofence region whenever you want. Later, when
you want to use Geofence region, associate the vehicles again.
47. What is Driver’s performance rating? How it is calculated?
Trip Analysis data displays Driver’s performance rating for each trip on the
scale of 1 to 5 stars (1 – lowest and 5- highest).
Driver’s performance is automatically calculated based on below parameters:
a) Harsh braking (No. of instances)
b) Rapid Acceleration (No. of instances)
c) Over-speeding (No. of instances)
d) Sharp Turn (No. of instances)
Calculation Formula is based on varying weightage which is part of the
internal algorithm.
48. In Trip Analysis Data, what is the speed value considered as over-
speeding?
Vehicle speed greater than 80 Km/hr is considered as Over-Speeding.
49. Can I change the limit of over-speeding?
No. The threshold of over speeding is set as 80 km/hr. If vehicle speed gets
greater than 80 Km/hr, it is considered as Over-Speeding.
50. In Trip Analysis Data, what is the difference between Halts and Idle
Location?
Halt Location is the location where the engine is Off and stationary.
Idle Location is the location where the engine is ON and vehicle is
stationary. If the duration of Idle/Halt is greater than 30 Minutes, then it
is counted as part of the next Trip.
51. What all Point of Interest (POI) categories I can search near my
location?
You can search POI in following categories:
- Petrol pumps
- Vehicle Service stations
- Parking spots
- Hospitals
- Vehicle Battery shops
- Vehicle Tyres shops
- Vehicle Accessories shops
- Vehicle spare parts shops
- Hotels
- Bar & Pubs
- Coffee shops
- Supermarkets
- Restaurants
- ATMs
- Sightseeing spots
You can also navigate to a place of your choice by searching for an address in
the address bar.
52. Can I search POI location of my choice?
Yes, you can search POI location of your choice by entering required location
in To field on POI screen.
53. Can I search POIs for some other location than my current vehicle
location?
Yes, you can search POIs for other location. On the POI screen, change your
location field to the location where you want to search POIs.
54. Can I store softcopy of Vehicle related documents, such as Vehicle
Registration, in this App?
You can upload and safely store all your vehicle related documents. You can
upload your Driving License, Vehicle Registration Certificate, Insurance
Policy, Pollution Control Certificate, and Vehicle AMC. Tap on Documents card
under Records section on the Vehicles Home screen to upload and store vehicle
related documents.
55. Can I track the average fuel consumption?
Fuel Log allows you to manually update and save fuel filled information for a
specific vehicle, date, time, fuel type, cost of fuel, amount of fuel and
current odometer reading to track your average fuel consumption. You also have
an option to upload the bill image via camera or gallery. Tap on Fuel Log card
under Records section on the Vehicles Home screen to create a fuel log.
56. Can I track my vehicle accidents in the App?
Yes, you can track your vehicle accidents using Accidents feature under
Records.
Accidents feature allows you to create accident logs. You can select vehicle
name, enter Accident report name, date, time, last speed, location,
description, and images of the accident.
57. What is the use of Maintenance feature under Records in the App?
Maintenance feature allows you to setup maintenance reminders to help keep
track of your vehicle maintenance. You can setup reminder for a particular
date when your vehicle maintenance is due. When you complete the vehicle
maintenance, you can mark it as
completed maintenance along with related photos and Odometer (Kilometer)
reading.
58. What all Notifications I will receive in the App?
Notifications screen displays all Alerts and Faults related to the vehicle.
Alerts display issues related to critical situations and reminders:
- Dongle connectivity
- Over speeding
- Geofence breach
- Accident
- Harsh Braking
- Reminder for Maintenance, Insurance and Pollution check
Faults notify the vehicle status if any of the following is below threshold value:
- Low: Engine Oil, Battery
- High: Coolant Temperature
- Engine Failure, DTC (Diagnostic Trouble Code)
59. Can I change Alerts subscription as per my requirement?
Yes, you can change Alerts subscription from Alerts Settings. Tap on the
Settings icon on the top right corner of the Notifications screen and select
the Alerts to subscribe or unselect to unsubscribe.
60. Why are my Vehicle Health Parameters intermittently shown zero?
While vehicle is being driven, in some places, due to poor network, device
loses its connectivity with the platform. Since these are live parameters,
their values are cleared till the devices reconnects to the platform.
Additionally, these parameters are read at different moments in time from the
vehicle and some of the parameters might take more time than others to read
and update on the App.
61. How do I add a Geofence for my vehicle?
You can set Geofence for your vehicle by following below steps:
a) Go to MyVehicles and tap on Geofence tile to open the Geofence page
b) Enter Geofence Name and Location
c) You can choose the shape of the Geofence from these options : circular,
square or polygonal and click on Save
62. How can I monitor my car when it is moving?
When your car is moving, the tracking tile on MyVehicles dashboard will show
the status as On Route. Click on the tile to view the map and track your
vehicle.
63. What is a timefence?
Timefence allows you to choose a time period during which you are alerted if
the vehicle ignition is turned on. This feature would be beneficial in
scenarios where you leave your vehicle unattended outdoors for a significant
period of time
64. How can I set a timefence?
To create a new timefence, tap the Timefence option under Fencing section on
the MyVehicles Home screen and add timefence name along with start/end date
and start/end time.
65. For maximum how many days can I view the last trip details?
On the app, there are you have pre-defined filters of present day. You can use
custom date filters to access data up to 18 months. Please note that data
prior to the last 18 months cannot be retrieved.
66. Is there any option to delete the trip details?
No, trips are auto created and cannot be deleted.
67. I don’t want to use JioMotive anymore, how can I deactivate the
device?
We highly recommend to not deactivate your JioMotive JCR, as once deactivated,
you willhave to visit your nearest JC to get it reactivated at a cost.
To deactivate the device, please follow below steps:
a) Go to MyVehicles Dashboard
b) Tap on vehicle information icon on the vehicle status bar to display
Vehicle Profile details
c) Tap on Deactivate button next to SIM Status
d) This will redirect you to Jio.com page where you can proceed to deactivate
the existing plan for your JioMotive JCR 1440 device by choosing the device
paired already.
68. How can I add my family member in JioThings app to view my car?
There is no option to add a family member in the application. The family
member can install JioThings application on their mobile phone and use the
application by signing in from your Registered Mobile Number. Please note that
we allow login to a JioThings account from only one device at a time.
Troubleshooting
69. How do I check if the JioMotive device is in good network coverage?
Please turn on the car engine and let the LED stabilize. If the LTE LED is
green / blue then the device is in good network coverage area. If the LTE LED
is red / red fast blinking then you are in weak / no network coverage area.
70. Why am I not able to add the JioMotive device in my JioThings
account?
Please ensure that the JioMotive device you are trying to add to your account
is not added previously by someone else. When a JioMotive is added to a
JioThings account very first time, the IMEI of the device gets mapped to the
registered phone number (RMN) of the JioThings account. Make sure you are
logged in using the same RMN on the JioThings app. Please contact customer
care if you are not able to add your device.
71. Why are few health parameters of my vehicle greyed out?
JioMotive device will be able to show the engine parameter when your car’s
ignition is in OFF state. The other health parameters will be greyed out when
car’s ignition is not ON.
72. Why does my app show “last online”?
When your car’s ignition is OFF, JioMotive device shows as offline. It will
display the timestamp of when it was last online, alongside its last location.
73. Why is my address showing in codes instead of a proper address?
JioThings application gets the location coordinates from JioMotive device and
the address is then displayed using Google Maps.
74. Why is my fuel log showing zero record even if I filled fuel?
JioMotive device is not capable of collecting and displaying fuel level in
JioThings application. You can manually add fuel logs for record keeping.
75. Why is my vehicle showing offline, even if my car is doing trips?
It is possible that JioMotive device could be in a no network region and hence
not able to send the data. Please check below:
a) Check whether JCR 1440 is placed in an area which is covered by Jio network
and has good signal strength.
b) Check whether your primary Jio number (on which your device is activated)
has sufficient balance and sufficient data.
It is recommended to plug out and plug in the JioMotive device to the OBD II
port of your car. If you still face any issue, please contact customer care.
76. Can I use my device if my car travels interstate?
Yes, the device on Jio Smartphone Plan Sharing (JioEverywhereConnect) can be
used while roaming anywhere within India
77. How many JioMotive JCR 1440 devices can I pair with my number?
You can pair a maximum of 2 devices on one Jio number
78. Will I be charged extra for data used by JioMotive device?
Usage done on your JioMotive device will be charged as per the bill plan
active on your Jio mobile phone number.
79. I activated Jio Smartphone Plan Sharing (JioEverywhereConnect) service
on my device but I am not able to see my vehicle’s data on JioThings app, what
can I do?
Once the service is successfully activated, we suggest you to please plug in
your JioMotive JCR 1440 in your car’s OBD-II port and turn your car’s ignition
ON. Please ensure that your vehicle is in a good network coverage area. Make
sure that you turn your car and device ON within 7 days of activating data
plan from the JioThings app. If this does not resolve your issue, please
contact customer care.
80. Why is my Documents showing zero?
The Documents section will show zero if you haven’t manually uploaded any. You
can utilize this section to upload and safely store all your vehicle related
documents. You can upload your Driving License, Vehicle Registration
Certificate, Insurance Policy, Pollution Control Certificate, and Vehicle AMC.
81. Can I reactivate the device once I have deactivated it?
Yes, you will be able to reactivate a deactivated JioMotive JCR 1440 at a cost
at your nearest JC. Please carry the device with you to the JC.
82. I want to activate JioMotive without a number sharing plan, can I do
it?
You can only avail JioMotive JCR 1440 services by activating its data plan on
the Jio Smartphone sharing (JioEverywhereConnect). You will not be able to
activate its data plan otherwise.
83. What happens if My Jio phone number consumes all the data, will I
receive my car tracking details on JioThings app?
If the data on your Jio phone number plan is exhausted, we recommend you to
recharge your plan. Exhaustion of data on your primary Jio number might
restrict connectivity of JioMotive JCR 1440. This might result in JioThings
app not updating your current vehicle details.
84. What if I port my Jio number to any other service provider, will my
JioMotive work?
JioMotive JCR 1440 works on Jio Smartphone Plan Sharing
(JioEveryewhereConnect) concept, which is a Jio number sharing plan. If you
port your Jio number to any other service provider, the device will stop
working. You will have to visit your nearest JC to reactivate the device at a
cost.
85. Can someone else use my device?
If you wish to handover your device to someone else, you can do so. Although
it will continue to be attached to your JioThings app, if added and activated
earlier.
To change the data plan of the JCR 1440 from your Jio number to someone
else’s, please proceed to deactivate the data plan of your device. To get it
reactivated, visit your nearest JC.
If you wish that the other person should be able to view the device in their
JioThings app, please continue to delete the device from your JioThings
application and email Customer Care with the other person’s Jio mobile number
(with which they will sign in to the JioThings app) and the device IMEI.
86. What if my Jio number is deactivated, what will happen to my JioMotive
device?
JioMotive JCR 1440 works on Jio Smartphone Plan Sharing
(JioEverywhereConnect), which is a Jio number sharing plan. If you deactivate
your Jio number, the device will stop working. You will have to visit your
nearest JC to reactivate the device at a cost.
87. What if I lose/misplace my JioMotive device or it gets stolen. What
can I do?
Please continue to deactivate the data plan of your JioMotive JCR 1440 device
from JioThings app, to ensure that it is not misused.
To deactivate the device, please follow below steps:
a) Go to MyVehicles Dashboard
b) Tap on vehicle information icon on the vehicle status bar to display
Vehicle Profile details
c) Tap on Deactivate button next to SIM Status
d) This will redirect you to Jio.com page where you can proceed to deactivate

88. Can someone else also view my device details in their JioThings
application?
No. If someone else has logged in to JioThings app from their phone number,
they will not be able to see your device details.
89. How do I reset the device?
Ensure that the device is plugged into the OBD II Port while performing the
reset. Then switch “ON” the vehicle engine. The LTE LED on the device should
be in “ON” status. Next, find the ‘Reset’ button, which is a small hole near
the USB port and insert pin into the Reset button and press for 5 seconds.
The JCR 1440 will take a few minutes to reboot
90. If device is out of network, will I be able to see the missed data in
app?
Yes! When the device comes back to a good network coverage, JioThings
application will get populated with the missing data.
91. What can I do if my JCR 1440 is not getting powered ON?
You can do the following if your JCR 1440 device does not power on.
- Check whether JCR 1440 device is plugged onto the OBD II port correctly.
- Check and clear if there is any dirt on JCR 1440 device’s port or OBD II port on the car.
- Check whether the battery of the car have enough power (if the car can turn on them ignition)
- If the problem still persists, contact customer care to resolve the issue.
92. What can I do if my JioMotive JCR 1440 device stops working
suddenly?
If the device stops working suddenly, then ensure the following:
- Check whether your primary Jio phone number, on which JioMotive JCR 1440 is activated, has sufficient data balance.
- Plug out the device, wait a moment and plug in the device again. (Ignition is in off state).
- Check if device is in good signal area. Try to keep in different locations till signal strength shows green or blue
- If problem still persists, contact customer care to resolve the issue.
93. If I deactivate one of my JioMotive 1440 devices, can I activate
another JCR1440 device on same Jio Number?
Yes! Maximum limit of 2 JioMotive devices that can be activated on Jio
Smartphone Plan sharing (JioEverywhereConnect). If you deactivate a JioMotive
device on this plan sharing, the count of secondary device on the number
sharing plan decreases by one. This gives you room to add another device if
you want to!
91. What should I do if JCR 1440 device is not displaying or lighting any
led indicators while connected to OBD II Port?
Please ensure to push device into OBD II port slightly harder to turn on led
light.
92. What should I do when sim is already activated from JioThings
application but data is still not getting reflected on application?
Please ensure to plug JCR 1440 device into OBD II port and make sure car is
present in good network area. Kindly wait for at least 5 minutes until device
is activated. Data will be reflected on JioThings application thereafter.
