in any situation where the inability to hear other sounds could place you in
danger Transformers or power supplies are not toys, the use of these products
by children must be under the full supervision of adults. It is recommended
the Yoto Wireless Headphones are used with a suitable transformer or power
supply for toys which has a minimum 5V-—1A power adapter with a USB-A port
bearing the following symbols:
INSTRUCTION FOR SAFE USE
It is strongly recommended that the Yoto App’s built-in volume limiter
settings are used to restrict the maximum volume allowed. Caregiver
supervision is necessary to check the loudness and judge the volume levels are
an appropriate level for the environment. Please refrain from using maximum
volume. When necessary, in loud environments, please limit the exposure of
maximum volume to short periods of less than 2 hours, take regular breaks and
ensure the volume is returned to minimal levels once the enviromental noise
has reduced. The reason for this advice is that the World Health Organisation
(WHO) recommends 85db is the maximum safe volume level for up to eight hours,
however this level is too quiet for noisy environments.
Therefore, Yoto have designed their headphones to not exceed the legal EU
limit of S94dBA according to EN 55032-2 whilst being loud enough to ensure
they are still useful. To help set volume levels, speak at a normal volume
while listening to headphones, then lower the volume until you can comfortably
hear your own voice.
Check product and power supply regularly for damage and in the event of
damage, it must not be used until the damage has been repaired.
To avoid malfunction, damage to your Yoto Wireless Headphones or risking
voiding your product guarantee (found at yotoplay.com) please observe the
following:
Do not expose it to water or moisture whilst in operation. Clean with a dry
soft cloth, if this does not remove the dirt, the Yoto Wireless Headphones
must be disconnected from the power supply before cleaning.
Please do not use solvents, chlorides or chemical cleaning agents. Yoto
Wireless Headphones are not splash or drip proof.
Do not expose it to heat from any source and avoid charging near radiators or
placing it in direct sunlight. Leaving the product in hot or cold places will
reduce the capacity and lifetime of the battery, and performance will be
limited in below freezing temperatures.
Take care whilst handling to avoid mechanical damage to the unit.
Do not tamper with screws or dismantle the product in any way. The physical
elements of the product are not serviceable in the field.
This device contains batteries that are non- replaceable because there is risk
of explosion if the battery is replaced by an incorrect battery type.
Protect the power cable from being walked on or pinched. Unplug during
lightning storms or when unused for long periods of time and ensure the mains
plug adapter is readily available to disconnect the equipment.
