Step 1: Make a 3-way splice
Take the compressor RD (red) wire and the Easy Start Black wire. Make a 3-way splice by connecting these two wires together. -
Step 2: Install the Easy Start Orange wire
Locate the run capacitor next to the WH (white) Herm (S) wire. Install the Easy Start Orange wire onto the run capacitor, connecting it to the WH wire. -
Step 3: Remove and splice wires
Remove the compressor run BU (blue) (R) wire from the run capacitor. Splice this wire with the Easy Start Brown wire. -
Step 4: Connect the Easy Start White wire
In the same location where you removed the BU wire in step 3, connect the Easy Start White wire.

- Make a 3-way splice with the compressor RD (red) (C) wire & the Easy Start Black wire
- Install the Easy Start Orange wire on the run capacitor next to the WH (white) Herm (S) wire
- Remove the compressor run BU (blue) (R) wire from the run capacitor & splice with the Easy Start Brown wire
- Where you just removed the BU wire in step 3, connect the Easy Start White wire
