TRSi TA612A Temperature Meter
Thank you very much for your patronage ond choosing our products. Before you use this product please read this manual carefully os it will familiarize you with the correct operating procedure of our TA 5I product.
Introduction
The thermocouple is an electric device commonly used in temperature
measurement in the industry, it consists of two different conductors at both
ends to connect as a circuit. When there is o temperature difference between
the working end and the reference end. the instrument will demonstrate the
temperature value corresponding to the thermoelectric potential generated by
the thermocouple. It can both meet the field test temperature demand and the
long-distance transmission requirement. It can measure the temperature of the
liquid, vapor, and gaseous media and solid surfaces in various production
processes directly. The measurement range is enormous, greater than alcohol,
and mercury thermometers. It is suitable for steelmaking. coking ovens and
other high-temperature environments, con also measure liquid hydrogen, liquid
nitrogen, and other tow temperature objects.

Button Function Description
- The power button, long press ta turn-on and lightly ta tum-off.
- Data hold, long press to turn on and lightly to turn off: long press “<2 seconds to turn on and turn -off the data hold function.
- Temperature unit switching uses for adding data under the Made menu.
- Short-press to cycle among the maximum value. overage value. minimum value. and real-time value, uses for deducting data under the Mode menu.
- Switch recording time. H: M minimum time interval is 1 minute, M:5 minimum interval is 1 second; lightly press to switch between H.M/M:5.
- lightly press to switch the thermocouple type between K-type and J-type, and long press ;,2s to enter the ADJ electronic compensation temperature probe.
- Menu button setting, short press to enter the menu, long press;,:2s to exit the setting
Function Setting
Record data interval time setting
Press MODE first to enter the REC data recording interval time setting. You
can adjust the recording interval time by pressing the.., up, and ” down keys.
The default ore 5s, IDs, the 30s, 60s, 3Dmin, 60min, 12h, and 24h, total 8
levels.
REC on and off
Under the measurement mode, long press the HOLD/REC button “‘ 2s to start the REC data recording, then long press “‘2s to exit the data recording made. After the REC recording is turned on, the screen is off for 75s and enter the power saving data collecting mode, top any button to woke up the meter to display the value.
Check the stored data
Under the MODE menu, short press to enter the menu, press 2nd time to check
the groups of REC records, and press.., up and” down buttons to view data
records; if the data has reached the upper limit of 9999 groups, one more data
stored will overwrite the first group automatically.
Clear the stored data
Under the data checking menu, long press the up and” down buttons ?.2 seconds
to clear the stored data. the number of groups will show DODD, it will
demonstrate between 0001 and 9999 when with data records. TA612C is capable of
saving 5QDQ groups.
ADJ electronic compensation temperature probe
ADJ/TYPE/ Long press “<2s to enter the thermocouple error compensation value setting mode. Under the compensation value setting mode, short press to switch the compensation value channel. long press ;,2 seconds ta exit the compensation setting mode (the compensation setting is electronic compensation far the probe temperature error. in order to make an accurate measurement).
Higher limit alarm setting
Press the MODE button to enter HI higher limit alarm setting, the default value is 13DQ·c, press the.., up and” down buttons ta adjust the alarm volume under this menu, and press the MODE button again ta switch between channels. The instrument will give an audible and visible alarm when the measured value exceeds the setting value, and the HI sign will flash on the screen.
Lower limit alarm setting
Press the MODE button to enter the LOW lower limit alarm setting, the default value is -2QQ·c, press the.., up and down buttons ta adjust the alarm value under this menu, long press the MODE button ;,2s to exit. The instrument will give an audible and visible alarm when the measured value exceeds the setting value and the LOW sign wit! flash on the screen.
TJ-T2 channel error setting (only,, TA &12B)
In the normal measurement made. long press the “C/”F .a.button ;,2s to enter
the T1-T2 channel error measurement mode, T1 displays the T1-T2 error value.
T2 displays the Current channel value. long press;,,2s to exit the channel
error measurement mode;
T2-TI channel error setting (only,, TA &128)
In the normal measurement mode. Lang press the MAX/MIN/’l’IJuttan !!!25 to enter the T2-T1 Channel error measurement made, T2 displays the T2-T1 error value, T1 d;sp!ays the current channel value, long press;,,2s to exit the channel error measurement mode.

Measurement Method
- Press the power button to turn on the meter. The version number wm be displayed after power-on. and the measurement interface will be entered after about 2 seconds.
- Insert the thermocouple probe into the object ta be measured.
- Read the measured value on the LCD display.
- Refer to the function description of each button, and press the function button to enter each measurement function.
- Measuring done, press the power button ta tum it off. Remark The setting alarms and records will be saved when the power is off. and the data will be stored in the Flash when replacing the battery as well.
Worm notice: When moving the meter from one environment to another. please wait for ID minutes for the meter to stabilize.
Auto Shutdown and Cancel Auto Shutdown
The auto shutdown function switched on by default when turned on the meter, and the screen showed the APO symbol. Only if you stop using it for 15 minutes will it trigger the automatic shutdown mode.
- If you need to cancel the automatic shutdown function, press the HOLD and POWER buttons to turn on the meter, the APO symbol will not appear and the automatic shutdown function is canceled. The auto shutdown function can be restored as long as restart the meter.
- When the meter turns on the auto shutdown function, the display screen shows the APO symbol. APO symbol will disappear once canceled the auto shutdown function.
- When under the USB power supply mode, the meter will not automatically shut down even if the APO symbol is turned on.
Battery Replacement
- When the low battery appeared, the battery level shows empty, indicating that the battery needs to IJe replaced.
- Replace the 3pcs AA batteries by removing the battery compartment cover, please pay attention to the battery polarity when placing the battery into the compartment.
- Ensure that the comportment cover is securely fastened when finished.
Remark : when the battery is lower than about 3.BV, the battery low voltage prompt.
Maintenance
- Do not measure for a long time under high temperature and high humidity environments.
- Regular calibration is needed ta maintain the accuracy of the device.
- Please remove the battery if not been used for a long time.
- If your device does not work properly, and the repair requirements were confirmed by the manufacturer or dealer. The user should provide a text failure description and packing list and the packaging should be well-cushioned and protected.
