IMPORTANT INSTRUCTIONS

PLEASE READ AND SAVE THESE IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
When using electrical appliances, basic precautions should always be followed to reduce the risk of the fire, electric shock, and injury to persons, including the following

  1. Read all instructions before using.
  2. In case of emergency, immediately remove the plug from power outlet.
  3. Check the voltage indicated on the rating label on the appliance does in fact match that of your electrical system.
  4. This appliance is not intended for use by persons(including children) with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of experience, and knowledge, unless they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance by a person responsible for their safety. Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the appliance.
  5. Do not operate the appliance with a damaged cord or plug or after the appliance malfunctions, has been dropped or damaged in any manner. Return the appliance to authorized service facility for examination, electrical or mechanical adjustment, or repair.
  6. Always unplug the appliance when notin use or before cleaning. Allow to cool before adding or removing parts, and before cleaning the appliance.
  7. To protect against fire, electric shock and personal injury, do not immerse cord, plug or appliance in water or other liquid. Never clean the appliance or the power cord if those are humid. Avoid touching the appliance with wet hands.
  8. Do not run cord under carpeting. Do not cover cord with throw rugs, runners or similar coverings. Arrange cord away from traffic area and where it will not be tripped over.
  9. Avoid the use of an extension cord because the extension cord may over heat and cause a risk of fire. However, if you have to use an extension cord, the cord shall be rated not less than 2,000 watts. Only use an earthed socket to connect the appliance. place on or near a hot gas or electric burner, orin a heated oven, metal surface.
  10. Do not place the espresso machine near the edge of a bench or table during operation. Ensure the surface is level, clean and free of water and other substances.
  11.  Itis normal for the plug to feel warm to the touch; however, a loose fit between the AC outlet(receptacle) and plug may cause over heating and distortion of the plug. Contact a qualified electrician to replace loose or worn outlet.
  12. Use the appliance only as the described in this manual. Any other use or accessory attachments not recommend by the manufacture may cause fire, electric shock, or injury to persons.
  13. Do not place anything other than cups for warming on top of the machine.
  14. Do not put fingers inside brewing chamber, due to sharp edges.
  15. Do not touch hot surfaces. Use handles or knobs.
  16. Hot water, steam, spout are hot. Danger of burning injuries. Do not put steam or hot water towards the body.
  17. We recommend using cold, filtered water. We do not recommend the use of de-mineralized or distilled water as this may affect the taste of the espresso and how the machine is designed to function. Do not use the machine with empty water tank.
  18. Use only water in the appliance! Do not put any other liquids or foods in the water tank.
  19. WARNING: The filling aperture or cover or handle must not be opened during use.
  20. This appliance is intended to be used in household and similar application such as:
    • Indoor & domestic use only:
    • by clients in hotels, motels and other residential type environments:
    • bed and breakfast type environments;
    • staff kitchen areas in shops, offices and other working environments.

CAUTION

  • Don’t move the water tank away when the machine still working to avoid the water spilling or the system absorbing air in.
  • Use capsules provided by your supplier only. Permit the machine a rest of 5min. if you make coffee more than 150ml.

Confirm all parts before disposing of carton. Safely dispose of all plastic bags and other packaging components.

They may be potentially dangerous to children.

OPERATING DIAGRAM

Start Up

  1. Fill water tank with water
    (Filtered water strongly recommended).

  2. Plug in and the machine is turned on by beeping and the three indicators will blink once, entering sleeping mode.
    Tips:
    Always rinse the machine every time before making coffee to clean up the brewing chamber and meantime heat up the whole system for the best yield of coffee. This is the best way of machine maintenance daily.
    Coffee/Espresso Brewing

  3. Heating Up:
    Touch any key to heat up and indicators will blink.

  4. Stand by mode:
    All indicators turn steady when heating completed, machine is ready for operation.

  5. Lift the handle and insert the capsule (please double check if the capsule fits the machine).

  6. Close the handle.

  7. Touch Ristretto/Espresso/ Lungo button and release to start to brew coffee.

  8. The respected indicator will keep blinking while brewing till finished; touch any key to stop any time.

  9. Machine will switch to stand by mode with all indicators on after coffee brewing.

  10. Lift the handle to eject capsule into the waste capsule container automatically.

Energy Saving Concept

  • To save energy, unplug the machine when not in use for extended periods.

  • Automatic power off: the machine will stop automatically after 8 minutes of inactivity.
    You can touch any button to wake it up.

  • To enter sleep mode from stand by mode: touch ‘Ristretto’ & ‘Lungo’ button together for 3 seconds.

  • To shift auto power off time between 8 minutes and 30 minutes: touch ‘Ristretto’ & ‘Espresso’ button together for 3 seconds to set it to be 8 minutes or touch ‘Espresso ‘ & ‘Lungo ‘ button together for 30 minutes.

Programming The Cup Size

  1. Insert a capsule and close the handle.
  2. In stand by mode, long touch respected button to start brewing coffee(do not release your finger during this time).
  3. Release from the button when desired volume reached, the cup size is stored.

CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE

System Cleaning
To refresh the inside parts of the system, you can choose to repeat the prescribed procedures of coffee brewing several times, and try to brush the inside brewing chamber capsule holder with a soft brush time to time.
Clean the casing, with a soft damp cloth.
The water tank, drip tray and used capsule container can be washed in warm water(not hot water).

Note: Before attempting to clean the appliance, remove the plug from the power outlet.
Do notimmerse the machine, and/or power cable in water or other liquids.
Allow the machine to cool before starting the cleaning procedure.

Descaling

Choose the recommended decalcifier or scale remover from your machine provider.

Instruction:

  1. Fill water tank with 200ml pure water(around a quarter of the total capacity):
  2. Pour into the water tank 3a scale remover wait for 5 minutes or stir to discolve:
  3. Install the water tank to the correct position carefully and long press the three buttons for no less than 3s to enter descaling mode the machine will start to work till it stops automatically;
  4. Wait for 10 minutes and pour pure water into water tank, enter descaling mode again to clean the machine till it stops.
