(See Figure 3) (NOTE: Our oil suction pipes have been upgraded and improved, andthe unique pulley design can help you easily handle almost any car fuel tank. But wedon’tguarantee it will work for all vehicles, if you can’t get the tube into your fuel tank, youcantry to adjust the angle, if it still doesn’t work, please contact us directly).
  4. Turn the unit on (the “I” symbol on the switch).
    • Note: The Steauty GasolinePumpwill make a notable tapping sound with dry lines and when drawing fuel in. Once fuel reachesthe pump, the sound will continue, but much more quietly. This is normal.

To place the line into an automobile fuel tank:

Note: Our unique pulley design can greatly help you reach into the tank, if youneedyoucan also use a lubricant such as WD40 or white lithium grease. Before using the pulley guide to enter the tank, touch your finger to the metal tiponitsend to discharge static electricity. You can also place the white funnel into the filler opening (see Figure 4). This will pushopen the metal flap in the fuel filler neck found in many cars. Insert the pulley guide through the funnel and push it into the tank. You may findit helpstouse a combination of light pushing and twisting to maneuver around bends or tight spots.Pull back slightly on the line frequently to ensure that it does not get stuck. If it doesgetstuck, rotate it in one direction while pulling back.

Maintenance and Troubleshooting

If hose becomes kinked:

  1. Pinch it back into shape by hand or allow hose to sit in the sun and allow the natural shape to return.
  2. If the kink is persistent, try to get it back into shape with pliers. If filter becomes clogged, replace with new filter.

We’ll give away a replacement in the box. To replace filter:

  1. Use a screwdriver to loosen the stainless steel clamps on both sides. Unplug both hoses.
  2. To replace the filter with a new one, you can lubricate the inside of the hose with isopropyl alcohol.
  3. Tighten the stainless steel clamp. It may be a little bit difficult to put the hose back into the box after use, this may require some patience from you, roll up the hose and put it into the box, our box has enough room for all accessories.

Storage

Storage: Drain pump and lines before storing.

  1. Remove input line from fuel source and raise it above the level of the pump.
  2. Turn on the pump and allow remaining fuel in the input line to flow through the pump to the output line.
  3. When input line is dry, raise the pump above the level of the output line and allow the pump to push remaining fuel out of the output line.
  4. Turn off pump and allow unit to air dry completely before storing.
    • Note: Only store unit once it is completely drained, dried, and latched shut in a well-ventilated area away from ignition sources or gasoline vapors.
    • WARNING: Never store unit in a vehicle trunk or tool compartment.

Storage Tips:

  • Avoid kinking hoses when storing, lines can become permanently indented as a result.
  • If storing for more than one month, run kerosene, diesel, or mineral spirits through unit by putting the input and output line in the kerosene, diesel, or mineral spirits and run pump for 5-10 seconds. This will act as a preservative  for the pump and keep it well prepared for next use.
    • Note: When this step is complete, follow above drain and storage instructions.
