Icstation GY18483 DC 4Bit LCD Display Tachometer

Description

It is a DC12V 24V 4Bit LCD Tachometer RPM Speed Meter with Hall Proximity Switch Sensor. It can monitor and display the output value of Hall sensor in real time to achieve the purpose of counting and displaying. It can be widely used in machine tool control, quality detection, motor speed, automatic production, unmanned workshop, security control system, etc.

Features

  1. 9999 RPM Speed Measurement Range: Its measuring range is 10~9999 RPM with +/-0.1% high measurement accuracy that can meet most scenario applications.
  2. 4 Bit HD LCD Display Screen: It uses high-definition LCD display which can make the displayed data clearer and cleaner. Refresh the measurement data every 3 seconds.
  3. Over Range Alert: It displays LLLL if the measured rotational speed less than 10 RPM and display HHHH if greater than 9999 RPM. Users can adjust and monitor the equipment according to the displayed value.
  4. Hall Sensor : It comes with a magnet and hall sensor. The maximum distance between them is 10mm. Sensor can output a signal when a magnet is detected. It is used to measure the speed of wheels and axles.
  5. NOTE: Avoid interference of frequency converter; Measure after fixing the sensor and magnet; Magnets shall not be installed on metal surfaces to avoid interference.

How to Use

  1. Attach the magnet to the device you want to test.
  2. Align the Hall sensor to the magnet and connect the sensor to the module.
  3. Connect the module to the power supply, and you can start the test.
  4. Note: If the rotation speed is too low, it will display “LLLL”; if the rotation speed is too high, it will display “HHHH”.

Incorrect Usage and Solutions

  1. Incorrect Usage: The eccentric turntable shakes up and down when rotating, resulting in inaccurate speed.
Solution: Change it to a circular turntable, and let the rotation be a circular trajectory.

  2. Incorrect Usage: The magnet is not fixed, resulting in inaccurate detection.
Solution: Need to fix the magnet on a level surface.

  3. Incorrect Usage: Please do not hold the Hall switch or hold the motor.
Solution: Hall switch and motor need to be fixed for stable measurement.

NOTE

  1. It displays LLLL if the measured rotational speed is too low
  2. It displays HHHH if the measured rotational speed is too high.
  3. It is not recommended to hold the sensor or the measured object by hand, otherwise the display is inaccurate.
  4. The magnetism must be fixed, otherwise the measured value cannot be displayed correctly.
  5. Shielded wire or twisted pair is recommended to avoid electromagnetic interference.
  6. It uses M12 NPN NO Low_ Level output Hall sensor, users can also use other types of hall sensors with the same parameters.
  7. The sensor and magnet must be fixed, otherwise it will cause vibration and lead to inaccuracy.
  8. The distance between hall sensor and magnet must be less than 10mm.
  9. Magnets shall not be installed on metal surfaces to avoid interference.
  10. The magnet distinguishes between the front and the back. No data can be detected after the wrong installation.
  11. It is not recommended to replace the sensor with a mechanical switch to avoid display errors.

Frequently asked questions

  1. Why is LLLL always displayed?
  2. The tachometer is not connected with Hall sensor.
  3. The sensor does not detect a magnet. Maybe magnet not installed or distance more than 10 mm or sensor not aligned with magnet.
  4. The actual speed is too low.
  5. Environmental interference, such as frequency converter.
  6. Why is HHHH always displayed?
  7. The actual speed is too high.
  8. Environmental interference, such as frequency converter.
  9. Why is the displayed value always fluctuating or inaccurate?
  10.  Sensor or magnet unstable such as eccentric wheel, hold in hand, Sensor or magnet is not fixed.
  11. Environmental interference, such as frequency converter.
