Description

ZK-CM30 is a high-precision current acquisition type battery meter, also known as a coulomb meter. It can display the real-time capacity and charging/discharging time of the battery in real-time, is convenient for battery discharge/discharge management, plays a role in protecting the battery.

It is a discharge protector at discharge mode and a charge protector at charge mode. It can connect voltage from a DC 6V-60V battery and the output voltage is the same as to input voltage. It can set battery discharge/charge voltage to prevent the battery from over-discharging/over-charging and causing damage. The output voltage can continue to provide voltage to the load when the battery charging voltage rises to the allowable discharge value. Therefore, it can effectively protect the service life of the battery and make the use of the battery safer and more reliable.

Features

  • Charge/Discharge Protector: Automatic Switch Charge/Discharge Mode by right C/P terminal. It is a Charge Protector if connected to a charger or a Discharge Protector if connected to a load, which integrates charging and discharging control functions. Avoid the battery from entering an undervoltage state due to over-discharging and damaging the battery during discharging. Avoid battery damage due to overcharging during charging.
  • Coulomb Meter : Real-time display of battery capacity value and percentage, providing a very intuitive understanding of the current state of the battery’s ability to continue working. At the same time, can calculate the time when the battery can continue to discharge or discharge.
  • Battery Voltage Monitor: Not only can it display battery voltage, capacity, and percentage, but also displays charging and discharging current/power/battery capacity. Fully demonstrate the working performance and parameters of the battery.
  • Various Battery Types: It can measure lithium batteries, lead-acid batteries, LiFePO4 batteries, and other type of batteries. also can support multiple batteries in series within 6V~60V.
  • Power-down memory function : The parameters can be permanently saved after completing the setting, so there is no need to worry about losing data when the power is turned off.

  41. For example: in Batter discharge mode, the Lower Limit Voltage Value UP is 12V and the Upper Limit Voltage Value UP is 14V.
  42. It can not output voltage if the input voltage is less than 12V when power is ON.
  43. It can not output voltage if the input voltage drops below 12V during working.
  44. It can not output voltage if the input voltage is more than 12V but less than 14V when power is ON.
  45. It can output voltage if the input voltage is more than 14V when power is ON.
  46. There is an output voltage before the input voltage drops to 12V during working.
  47. The input battery needs to be charged to 14V once the battery voltage drops to 12V. Then the output terminal can output voltage again.

Discharge Mode OUT:

  1. ‘C/P’ terminals connect to loads such as lamps, motors, and so on.
  2. The working voltage of the load must be equal to the rated voltage of the battery.
  3. The output turns ON and output voltage and the battery starts to discharge when Battery Voltage is more than the Upper Limit Voltage Value UP. Green indicator turns ON and displays the symbol ‘OUT’.
  4. The output turns OFF and no voltage output, the battery stops discharging, when the Battery Voltage is less than the Lower Limit Voltage Value dn. The green indicator turns OFF and displays the symbol ‘OUT’ and the screen keeps flashing.

Charge Mode IN:

  1. ‘ C/P ’ terminals connect to a battery charger.
  2. The output voltage of the charger must be equal to the rated voltage of the battery.
  3. The output turns ON and the battery starts to charge from the charger when the Battery Voltage is less than the Lower Limit Voltage Value dn. The green indicator turns ON and displays the symbol ‘IN’.
  4. The output turns OFF and the battery stops charging when the Battery Voltage is more than the Upper Limit Voltage Value UP. The Green indicator turns OFF and displays the symbol ‘IN’.

Notes:

  1. It is a charging/discharging controller but not a charger or voltage converter!
  2. Both the monitor and the load consume the power of the input terminal battery. Therefore, even if the output voltage is stopped, the monitor will continue to consume the battery, which is used to monitor the battery voltage.
  3. Users need to measure the effective battery capacity value in advance and modify the CAP value, otherwise, the capacity percentage will display incorrectly.
  4. The module will heat up if the input voltage is more than 50V or the current is more than 25A.
  5. It uses the Hall principle to detect the current value, so it must be at least 15cm away from magnetic objects when used, otherwise, it will affect the current test results.
  6. Static working power consumption is 0.2W, 15mA/12V, 9mA/24V, 7mA48V when screen both OFF.
  7. Static working power consumption is 0.4W, 30mA/12V, 16mA/24V, and 10mA48V when the screen is in the brightest state.
  8. It is recommended to disconnect the battery or set the screen brightness to the darkest state if not used for a long time.
  9. Please readthee manual and description before use.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the control voltage range? What is the applicable battery range?

The control voltage range is DC 6V-60V. But the battery voltage max is 48V. Because the voltage of a 48V battery can reach 60V after fully charged.

Why output is automatically turned on and off continuously after the power is on and the flashing light is?

This is because your charging current is too large or the battery capacity is too small which causes the battery voltage to exceed the Lower limit voltage ‘dn’ value immediately and then the output will be OFF. But the voltage drops quickly to the Lower limit voltage ‘dn’ after output OFF and then starts to charge. Cycle and cycle. At this point, you have to reduce the charging current. Usually, the charging current is 10-15% of the battery capacity. For example, if the battery capacity is 20AH, the charging current is 2-3A. Note that high current charging can cause the battery to heat up, aging, bulge, or even explode. 3>.

What control method?

This is the voltage control. For example, the Lower limit voltage ‘dn’ is set to 12.0V. The upper limit voltage ‘UP’ is set to 14.5V. It will close output when the voltage is charged to 14.5V. The output will be ON and begin to charge when the voltage is reduced to 12.0V. 4>.

Can it be automatically cycled?

Yes, it can. Voltage control mode only controls turn-off and turn-on. 5>.

Can it limit the current?

It can limit current, the charging current is completely dependent on your charger but can not be more than the set value oAP.

Can I charge a 24V battery by inputting 12V? Or charge a 12V battery by inputting 48V?

This is a simple voltage controller just for ON/OFF. It can not change the output voltage. So what kind of charger should you prepare for charging the battery?
