Q1. What should I do if the USB hub's USB-A port is not working?
If you connect a device to the USB-A port but it cannot be recognized by your laptop or you cannot transfer data between the device and your laptop, the issue may lie in the connected laptop, USB-A device, or with the hub itself. Here are some troubleshooting tips that may help identify and resolve the problem. For the laptop: a. If you have a Windows laptop, update the USB driver to see if the problem persists. b. If you have a MacBook, update your operating system to the latest version c. Try this device with a different laptop to see if the issue persists. For the connected USB-A device: a. Confirm if the device works normally without the hub. b. Try a different USB-A device to see whether it works normally when connected to the hub. For the hub: a. Insufficient power supply. Please make sure to plug in a 15W power adapter to the USB-C PD port of the USB hub. This will ensure sufficient power for high-power USB devices to function properly. b. Confirm if the hub's LED light is on when it's connected to a laptop. c. Try using a different hub to see whether the problem persists. If you’ve tried all of the above tips and the problem still persists, please contact our Customer Support for further assistance. Make sure to briefly mention the tips you’ve already tried so that a solution can be provided faster.
Q2. What should I do if my usb hub's SD card slot is not working?
If your laptop cannot recognize an SD card, the issue may be caused by the connected laptop, the SD card, or the hub. Here are some troubleshooting tips that may help locate and resolve the problem. For the laptop: a. Try using a different laptop to see if the issue persists. For the SD card: a. Please confirm that you inserted the card completely. b. Try a different card. For the hub: a. Insufficient power supply. Please make sure to plug in a 15W power adapter to the USB-C PD port of the USB hub. This will ensure sufficient power for high-power USB devices to function properly. b. Confirm if the hub's LED light is on when it's connected to a laptop. c. Try with a different hub to see whether the card is working correctly. If you’ve tried all of the above tips and the problem still persists, please contact our Customer Support for further assistance. Make sure to briefly mention the tips you’ve already tried so that a solution can be provided faster.
Q3. Why is the transfer rate so much slower than the 5Gbps promoted?
a. The USB 3.0 standard has a theoretical transfer rate of 5Gbps (gigabits per second), corresponding to a theoretical transfer speed of 500MB/s (megabytes per second). It is the maximum potential speed of USB 3.0. b. The actual transfer speed is affected by factors like bandwidth sharing among multiple ports, cable quality and length, device compatibility, and system-related factors.
Q4. The hub Keeps suddenly disconnecting with the device while transferring data. Why is this happening?
a. If this problem is occurring with properly-installed devices, it is usually due to insufficient power supply. When the hub is transferring data — especially big data — make sure it is connected to a 1SW/higher power source. b. Ensure the connected data cable is functioning properly.
QS. Devices are not being identified by my computer when connected to the USB hub, but they are being identified when connected directly to the computer. Why?
This problem may be the result of one of the following causes: a. Insufficient power supply. Please connect the USB hub to a 15W/higher power source. b. Compatibility issues between the motherboard and system. Please try refreshing the BIOS in the motherboard. c. Incorrect insertion or unplugging. Do not unplug the device when transferring data in order to avoid damaging the chipset. d. Improper driver installation. Under “Device Manager”, go to “Other Devices” and select “Universal Serial Bus Controllers”. If there are any yellow question or exclamation marks visible, uninstall the driver in “Device Manager’, then restart your computer. The driver will be reinstalled automatically.
Q6. Why don’t devices charge at 900mA (the max for a USB 3.0 port) when a USB 3.0 port is not being used for data transfer?
These three USB 3.0 ports are primarily designed for data transfer so not support charging devices. When attached to a USB 3.0 port, a device will reserve about 500-600mA for data transfer (even when not in use). For a stable connection, avoid connecting devices that exceed a total of 900 mA. Devices are usually rated as follows: • Mouse: 100 mA • USB Flash Drive: 100 mA • Camera: 300 mA • Keyboard: 500 mA • External Hard Drive: 900 mA Please note that these power ratings are general estimates and can vary depending on the specific device.
Q7. Why is the hard disk disconnecting from the computer during data transfer?
a. Insufficient power supply. Make sure the device is connected to a 15 W/higher power source. b. Ensure the connected data cable is functioning properly. c. Do not touch or move the device as this may loosen the connection between the device and your computer.
Q8 : Why can't I use the mouse / keyboard / hard drive via the product ?
a. Insufficient power supply. Please make sure to plug in a 15W power adapter to the USB-C PD port of the USB hub. This will ensure sufficient power for high-power USB devices to function properly.
Q9 : Why does the USB C PD port doesn't work ?
a. The USB C PD supports power INPUT up to 15W. Please plug in the Laptop's power adapterto the USB-C pd port of the usb hub and make sure the laptop supports PD function.
Q10. Is the USB-C PD port support display or phone charging?
a. No. The USB-C PD port of this hub is a power input interface, and it can be externally powered with a 5V/2A power supply to ensure sufficient power for high-power USB devices to function properly. b. It only supports laptop charging only when connecting an extra charger via this PD port. c. Please make sure that your laptop's interface supports PD charging function.
Q11. Do I need to install any drivers to use this hub?
No, this hub is plug-and-play; no software/driver is required. Important Tips:
- SD card and TF/Micro SD card cannot read data simultaneously. 2. Please make sure that your laptop's interface supports PD charging function. 3. This USB hub is primarily designed for data transfer so not support charging devices
