Magic Mill KEO25DC-AA Food Dehydrator
Thank you for choosing our food dehydrator. We have written this manual to aid you in using and maintaining this product safely and properly. Please read this manual carefully before using it and keep it for your reference.
IMPORTANT SAFEGUARDS
When using an electrical appliance, basic safety precautions should always be followed, including the following:
- READ ALL INSTRUCTIONS BEFORE USE
- Unplug from the outlet when not in use and before cleaning. Allow to cool before cleaning or handling, putting on or taking off parts.
- Do not touch hot surfaces. Use mittens or handles to avoid burns.
- Do not immerse the cord, plug or any parts of the dehydrator in water or other liquid to prevent electrical hazards.
- This appliance should not be used by or near children.
- Do not operate the dehydrator if it is damaged, not working, or if the cord or plug is damaged.
- Accessory attachments not recommended by the appliance manufacturer may cause hazard or injury.
- Do not use outdoors.
- Do not let the cord hang over the edge of the table or countertop, where it could be pulled on inadvertently by children or pets, or touch hot surfaces, which could damage the cord.
- Do not place on or near a hot gas or electric burner.
- Do not use this appliance for other than intended use.
- Be extremely cautious when moving the dehydrator or removing trays if they contain hot liquid.
- When not in use, always unplug the unit. Do not store materials other than the manufacturer’s recommended accessories in this appliance when not in use.
- Keep the dehydrator away from flammable materials such as curtains, tablecloths etc. Do not store any items on top of the appliance when in operation.
- Do not operate under wall cabinets. Use on a flat, stable, heatresistant surface away from heat sources and liquids.
- Do not clean with metal scouring pads. Pieces can break off the pad and touch electrical parts, involving a risk of electric shock.
- Do allow to cod by hours before using an hour at a time. After 48 hours, unplug
- Avoid contact with moving parts. Never place any object into the openings in the screen protecting the dehydrator fan.

CONTROL PANEL
BEFORE THE FIRST TIME USE
- Check that your mains voltage corresponds with that stated on the appliance rating label.
- Clean the housing, drying trays and tray liners with a moistened cloth.
- Place the dehydrator on a solid, level surface. Place the drying trays inside the dehydrator.
- First used, the dehydrator will emit smoke or smells, this is normal. It is necessary to run the dehydrator for 30 minutes at any temperature, without adding any food to remove smoke and smells.
AUTO MENU (DEFAULT SETTINGS)
Note: The above temperature and time are only a guide. They will vary
with room temperature, humidity, moisture content of the food and how thinly
the food is sliced. The presence of nature in food will also vary. Some fruit
sugars tend to be sticker than others.
HOW TO USE YOUR DEHYDRATOR
- They are losing ding trays with food. Rearrange the trays to fit thicker food items.
- Plug in. The dehydrator will beep once and start to self-check. All icons display screens flash once during the self-checking, and if the self-check is correct, the dehydrator enters standby mode. If the self-checking fails, an alarm will sound and the screen will display error codes such as E1, E2 etc.
- In standby mode, the ON/OFF icon lights up, all other icons are off. Press ON/OFF, all icons will light up, and the display will display.
- Set temperature and time: Press the TIME/TEMP, TIME/TEMP icon and the time or temperature on the display will flash. Press + or – to change temperature or time. If there is no operation, the TIME/TEMP icon and time or temperature on display stop flashing after 5 seconds and the dehydrator starts to work. The temperature and time will displayed alternately every 3 seconds.
- Auto menu: In standby mode, press ON/OFF to turn on the dehydrator. Press the menu (fruits/meat/vegetables/herbs), and the menu icon and time or temperature will flash. If there is no operation within 5 seconds, the time or temperature on the display screen will stop flashing, and the dehydrator will automatically start working after the beep sounds. When time or temperature flashes, the drying time and temperature can be changed. During running, drying temperature and left drying time will be displayed alternately.
- Keep warm: Press the keep warm button, and the keep warm icon flashes. If there is no operation within 5 seconds, the time stops flashing, there will be a beep, and then the dehydrator starts running.
- The default temperature for keeping warm is 35 °C (temperature cannot be changed). The default time is 6 hours. You can use + or – to change the time. The time range is 30 minutes to 12 hours.
- Light: Press LIGHT, the light icon will flash and the interior light turn on. Press LIGHT again, interior light turn off. The light will turn off automatically after 2 minutes.
- You can stop the dehydrator at any time by pressing ON/OFF. The dehydrator will go into standby mode.
- When the timer finishes, the display will show “End” and heater will stop working, and the fan will delay for 1 minute to stop working.
- Use a kitchen towel, heat-resistant glove, or oven mitt to handle the drying tray.
Note
Press TIME/TEMP to switch between time and temperature. Temperature changes in
1°C increments. Press and hold + or – to change the temperature rapidly. Time
change in 30-minute increments. Press and hold + or – to change the
temperature rapidly.
Fruit Roll Sheet
Use for making fruit rolls and strips from fresh, frozen, or canned fruit. You
can also, use this fruit roll sheet for pouring puree onto a tray. Note: This
fruit roll sheet can also be placed on the bottom of the dehydrator to collect
any dripping liquids, to make dehydrator cleaning easier
Mesh screen
Use for foods that shrink when dried. This mesh screen will hold the food
intact
Overheat Protection
It is rare for the dehydrator to overheat during normal use. When the machine
overheats, the thermal protection device will activate and the unit will
automatically shut down for safety. The unit can no longer be turned on.

CARE & MAINTENANCE
Note : Do not clean any part of the dehydrator with abrasive chemicals, as this will damage the surface.
- Unplug the dehydrator and allow it to cool before cleaning.
- Soak drying trays in hot, soapy water for easy removal of food residue.
- If needed, use a soft brush to clean.
- Clean the dehydrator housing with a damp cloth.
- Dry all parts before storing or using the dehydrator.
Note: The trays are dishwasher safe. Do not wash the mesh screen fruit roll sheet in a dishwasher.
