We congratulate you on the purchase of your new product. You have chosen a high-quality product. The instructions for use are part of the product . They contain important information concerning safety, use, and disposal. Before using the product, please familiarise yourself with all of the safety information and instructions for use. Only use the product as described and for the specified applications. If you pass the product on to anyone else, please ensure that you also pass on all the documentation with it.

Intended use

This appliance is intended to pump out engine oil, diesel, and heating oil. It is intended for private use only. The appliance shall not be used for pumping out flammable liquids like gasoline and petroleum, or transmission oil. Pumping out water, chemicals, alkalis, foods, paints, and varnishes is also not allowed.
The appliance is not suitable for continuous operation. It can be continuously operated for a maximum of 30 minutes.
Any other use not mentioned in these instructions may cause damage to the appliance or generate a serious risk of injury.
The user is solely responsible for damage or accidents to other people or their property, which may occur while using the appliance.
The manufacturer accepts no liability for damages caused by improper use.
The appliance is not intended for commercial use.

Scope of delivery

After unpacking the appliance, check if it is complete and if all parts are in good condition.
Remove all packing materials before use.

BEFORE USING THE PRODUCT, PLEASE FAMILIARISE YOURSELF WITH ALL OF THE SAFETY INFORMATION AND INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE! WHEN PASSING THIS PRODUCT ON TO OTHERS, PLEASE ALSO INCLUDE ALL THE DOCUMENTS!
In the case of damage resulting from non-compliance with these operating instructions, the guarantee claim becomes invalid!
No liability is accepted for consequential damage! In the case of material damage or personal injury caused by incorrect handling or non-compliance with the safety instructions, no liability is accepted!

WARNING!
DANGER OF DEATH AND ACCIDENTS FOR TODDLERS AND CHILDREN!
Never leave children unsupervised with the packaging material. The packaging material represents the danger of suffocation. Children frequently underestimate the dangers. Please keep children away from the product at all times.

  • This appliance can be used by children aged 8 years and above and persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning the use of the appliance in a safe way and understand the hazards involved. Children shall not play with the appliance. Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be made by children without supervision.

  • Check the appliance, battery cables, and battery terminals for damage before each use. Use only original accessories. Do not operate damaged or altered appliances.
    CAUTION! The danger of electric shock! Do not attempt to repair the appliance yourself. In case of malfunction, repairs are to be conducted by qualified personnel only.

  • Make sure that the appliance is properly installed. Always fasten the hoses with hose clamps to prevent potential spills.

  • The appliance should only be supplied with a SELV (Safety Extra Low Voltage) corresponding to the marking on the appliance.

  • When operating vehicle batteries, always follow the advice of the manufacturer of the battery and of the vehicle.

  • Wear personal protective equipment such as safety goggles, hand gloves, and a dust mask. We recommend the use of acid and alkali-resistant hand gloves. The use of personal protective equipment reduces the risk of injury.

  • Be attentive and use common sense during operation. Never leave the appliance unattended during use. A moment of inattention may result in serious injury or damage to the appliance and/or vehicle.

  • Fuels and lubricants can be hazardous to health. Avoid direct skin contact and inhalation of fumes.
    CAUTION! The danger of burns! Take special care when working with vehicle batteries .

  • Battery acid may leak causing serious injuries. If the battery acid gets into contact with the skin or eyes, flush it with water and consult your physician .

  • Make sure that the vehicle is not parked on sloped ground, otherwise, it might not be possible to pump out all oil. Make sure that the parking brake is engaged.

  • Grasp the terminals only by the insulated handles. Pay attention to the correct polarity. Connect the positive pole terminal to the positive pole of the vehicle battery and the negative terminal to the negative pole (see “Getting started”).

  • Do not short-circuit the terminals and/or connecting cables .

  • If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, its service agent, or similarly qualified persons in order to avoid a hazard.

  • CAUTION! Risk of fire!

  • Do not operate the appliance when the engine is switched on or is hot. Do not start the vehicle engine during the pumping process. Never use the appliance for longer than 30 minutes in continuous operation in order to prevent overheating.
      CAUTION! Risk of fire! Do not pump oil at a temperature higher than 60 °C.
      CAUTION! Risk of fire and explosion! Do not operate the vehicle battery in the proximity of open flames or gases. Do not smoke when operating the vehicle battery Ensure good ventilation in the work area.
    CAUTION! Risk of fire!

  • Do not use the appliance to pump out flammable liquids (like gasoline and petroleum, transmission oil), water, aqueous solutions, other chemicals, alkalis, foods, paints and
    varnishes.

  • Do not operate the appliance dry. The appliance can become damaged due to insufficient lubrication.

  • Collect the pumped-out oil only in approved oil containers. Do not pump different types of oil into the same container.

  • Disconnect the appliance from the battery terminals immediately after operation.
    Using the appliance for extended periods of time can completely discharge the vehicle battery.

  • Do not carry the appliance by the connecting cables or the hoses. Keep the connecting cables and hoses away from hot parts of the vehicle or sharp edges.

  • Store the appliance and the used oil in a dry place and out of reach of children.

  • Dispose of used oil and soaked rags properly (see “Disposal”).
    In order to protect the environment, do not let oils drain into the ground or household drains.

  • Never use a damaged appliance! Disconnect the appliance from the vehicle and contact your retailer if it is damaged.

  • Never use accessories that are not recommended by the manufacturer. They could pose a safety risk to the user and might damage the appliance.
    Only use original parts and accessories.

  • This product has been classified as IPX4 and is protected against splashing water from any direction. Do not immerse in water.

CAUTION! Do not immerse the electrical parts of the appliance in water or other liquids. Never hold the appliance under running water.
To prevent damage, let the appliance cool for at least 10 minutes after every 30 minutes of continuous operation.

Getting started

Attaching the hoses

  1. Remove the protective caps 7] (fig . A).
  2. Straighten the suction hose 9] and the drain hose 11].
  3. Put the hose clamp 10] to the end of the suction hose (Ø 6 mm) 9]. Plug the suction hose end onto the suction hose connector 8]. Fasten the hose clamp 10] (Tool: Slotted screwdriver).
  4.  Put the hose clamp 10] to the end of the drain hose (Ø 12 mm) 11]. Plug the end of the drain hose onto the drain hose connector 6]. Fasten the hose clamp 10] (Tool: Slotted screwdriver).
  5. Pay attention to the pumping direction on the appliance.

Make sure that the hoses 9], 11] are straightened to avoid damage.

Operation

  1. Start the vehicle and run it for 5–10 minutes to warm up the oil (60 °C is the maximum oil temperature). This reduces the viscosity of the oil and enables it to pump it out more efficiently.
    Do not pump the oil when the car engine is running.

  2. Gently insert the suction hose (Ø 6 mm) 9] into the bottom of the oil pan (e .g . by the oil level test opening).

  3. Insert the drain hose (Ø 12 mm) 11] into a container (e .g . oil collecting tray).

  4. Set the on/off switch 1] to the “O” (off) position.

  5. Connect the positive pole clamp (red) 4] to the positive pole (+) of the vehicle battery.

  6. Connect the negative pole clamp (black) 5] to the negative pole (‒) of the vehicle battery.

  7. Turning on: Set the on/off switch 1] to the “I” position. The pumping begins after a short suction period.

  8. Turning off: Set the on/off switch 1] to “O” . Turn the appliance off as soon as oil extraction is over or after 30 minutes of continuous operation.

  9. After each use, pump through some fresh oil to clean the appliance.

  10. Remove the negative pole clamp (black) 5] from the negative pole (‒) of the vehicle battery.

  11. Remove the positive pole clamp (red) 4] from the positive pole (+) of the vehicle battery .
    To prevent damage, let the appliance cool for at least 10 minutes after every 30 minutes of continuous operation.

  12. Change the oil filter and refill it with new oil according to the vehicle instructions.

  13. Used oil needs to be disposed of in a way according to “Disposal”.

Cleaning and maintenance

WARNING! During cleaning or operation, do not immerse the electrical parts of the appliance in water or other liquids. Never hold the appliance under running water.
Cleaning

  1. After each use, pump through some fresh oil to clean the appliance.
  2. Clean both clamps 4], 5] with a dry cloth after each use. Make sure there is no adhering battery fluid left on the appliance.
  3. Keep the casing 2] and accessories clean . Do not use abrasive, aggressive, or chemical cleaning agents to clean the surface of the appliance.
  4. In case of oil spillage, clean it with a soft cloth or a paper towel.

Maintenance

Check the hose clamps 10] for a tight fit.
Before each use check the appliance and all its accessories for any visible damage.
Apart from the occasional cleaning, the appliance is maintenance-free.

Storage

When not in use, store the cleaned appliance in a dry, secure location away from children .
The store used oil/diesel in appropriate containers only.

Disposal

The packaging is made entirely of recyclable materials, which you may dispose of at local recycling facilities.
Observe the marking of the packaging materials for waste separation, which are marked with abbreviations (a) and numbers (b) with the following meaning: 1–7: plastics / 20–22: paper and fibreboard / 80–98: composite materials.
The product and packaging materials are recyclable and disposed of it separately for better waste treatment.  The Triman logo is valid in France only .
Contact your local refuse disposal authority for more details on how to dispose of your worn-out product.
To help protect the environment, please dispose of the product properly when it has reached the end of its useful life and not in household waste. Information on collection points and their opening hours can be obtained from your local authority. Observe the current regulations for waste oil disposal.

Warranty

The product has been manufactured to strict quality guidelines and meticulously examined before delivery. In the event of product defects, you have legal rights against the retailer of this product . Your legal rights are not limited in any way by our warranty detailed below.
The warranty for this product is 3 years from the date of purchase. The warranty period begins on the date of purchase. Please keep the original sales receipt in a safe location. This document is required as your proof of purchase.
Should this product show any fault in materials or manufacture within 3 years from the date of purchase, we will repair or replace it – at our choice – free of charge to you. This warranty becomes void if the product has been damaged, used, or maintained improperly .
The warranty applies to defects in material or manufacture. This warranty does not cover product parts subject to normal wear, thus possibly considered consumables (e .g . batteries) or for damage to fragile parts, e .g . switches, rechargeable batteries, or glass parts.

You can return a defective product to us free of charge to the service address that will be provided to you. Ensure that you enclose the proof of purchase (till receipt) and information about what the defect is and when it occurred.
