Start-up
Connect the machine to the power supply and turn on the power. First, the
machine enters the loading interface, as in Figure 4. After the loading is
completed, the machine enters the self-test interface, as in Figure 5. Then
the machine enters the main interface after a successful self-test (about 40
seconds), as in the following Figure 6:
Clear up banknotes
- Before counting the banknotes, place the handle of the machine on the back of the machine.
- Please sort the banknotes to be counted by size first and then put them into the hopper. When the counted banknotes encounter folds or arches, they should be taken out in advance so as to improve the one-time passing rate of the count.
- During the counting process, you need to adjust the limit positions of the left and right extended plates according to the largest size of the currently counted banknotes to ensure that the banknotes can be accurately recognized by the relevant sensors. Take USD as an example, please sort the banknotes first, then adjust the limit position of the extended plate according to the largest size of banknotes. Finally, place the banknotes into the inlet for counting, as shown in Figure 7 and Figure 8:

Auto/Manual mode setting
- The machine has two counting modes: Automatic and Manual counting mode.
- Automatic counting mode : Put the banknotes into the hopper of the machine and the machine will count them automatically.
- Manual counting mode : When you put the banknotes on the hopper of the machine, the machine will not count the banknotes. When you press the “START” button on the right side, the machine will start counting the banknotes.
For the automatic and manual counting modes, the specific ways to open them are as follows.
- In the main interface, first press the “SET” button on the right side to enter the “USER MENU” interface, as shown in Figure 10 below, and then touch the first item “1. Preference” to enter the “PREFERENCE SETTING” interface, as shown in Figure 11 below.
- Then touch the fourth item “4. Auto/Manual” to enter the Auto/Manual mode setting interface, as shown in Figure 12 below.
- Touch the first line “Auto”, then click the upper right corner “SAVE” button so that the machine enters the automatic counting mode; touch the second line “Manual”, then click the upper right corner “SAVE” button, the machine enters the manual counting mode.

Single country currency counting mode
Press the “CURRENCY” key on the left side of front panel and touch the “USD”
logo in the upper left corner of the display to select the currency as shown
in Figure 13 below:

Take USD as an example, as soon as touching the “ “, the display jumps to the main screen.

At this time, the ” USD” currency symbol appears in the upper left corner of the main screen of the display, indicating that the machine is in the mode of counting USD currency.

Press the “MODE” button on the right side or touch the “MIX”, “SORT”, “CNT” characters at the top of the display. ” at the top of the display to switch between counting modes. The counting modes will be changed by the order of “MIX→SORT→CNT” when pressing the Mode key.

< MIX> Mix counting mode
Figure 15 and Figure 16 below show the interfaces displayed in mixed counting mode. The upper left corner of the display shows U.S. dollars. In this mode, the machine will count all denominations of U.S. dollars and record the details of the banknotes at the same time, including the total amount and total number of banknotes, for easy viewing by the user.

< SORT> Single denomination counting mode

Figure 17 and Figure 18 show the display screens in single denomination counting mode. In this mode, the machine will count the same denomination and same national currency only as the first banknote denomination and national currency counted in the beginning. It means the first counted banknote will be the reference to continue counting the next banknotes coming.

Note: In MIX mixed counting mode and SORT single counting mode, the machine has image, magnetic detection, UV detection and double detection functions. In the CNT counting mode, only the double detection function is available. -
Automatic recognition of counting mode
-
Automatic identification : Automatically identifies the type of currency placed in the machine. During the counting process, the machine recognizes all denominations of the same country’s banknotes, using the first banknote that passes the sensor as the standard. When a banknote from another country is recognized, the machine alerts and stops. In this case, you need to take out the banknotes of other countries and press the “START” button on the right side, and the machine will continue counting the banknotes. The machine can only recognize the currency of the country shown in the program.
- Press the “CURRENCY” button or the “ ” symbol in the upper left corner of the display to enter the currency selection screen, as shown in Figure 13. Touch “NEXT” at the bottom right corner to jump to the page until the “Auto” logo is displayed, as shown in Figure 21 below.
- Click “ ” automatic identification mode, the display will automatically adjust to the main interface after selection, as shown in Figure 22 below:
- There are three counting modes (MIX, SORT, CNT) in auto recognition mode, and users can switch modes according to their needs.
- When the accumulation function is on, the machine will use the first banknote that enters the machine as a reference, and only the currency of the same country with the same denomination as the first banknote can be counted (SORT mode) or all denominations of the same country (MIX mode), and the details of the counted banknotes will be accumulated (note: the serial number only records the information of the banknote when it is counted). The machine alarm stops when another country’s currency is counted
- When the accumulation function is off, the machine only records the details of the currently counted banknotes and does not record the information of the previously counted banknotes.
Multi Currency Counting mode
Multi Currency Counting mode: The currencies of multiple countries are mixed
together in the machine to count the banknotes. The machine can only recognize
the currency of the country shown in the software. The machine supports up to
5 national currencies for mixed counting at the same time.
Mixed count currency combination settings
- In the main interface, first press the “SET” button on the right side to enter the “USER MENU” interface, as shown in Figure A below, and then touch the first item “1. Preference” to enter the “PREFERENCE SETTING” interface, as shown in Figure B below.
- Then touch the third item “3. Molt Currency Mode” to enter the multi-currency combination setting interface, as shown in Figure 23 below. Under the interface of Figure 23, users can touch the currency after the serial number 1~5 to modify and switch the currency.
- If the user needs to mix 5 currencies, then please select the 5 currency characters and click “SAVE” in the upper left corner to save.
- If you only need to mix 2 or 3 or 4 national currencies, we suggest you to start from value 1, set it to 3 or 4, then set all the remaining values to one of the national currency symbols (as shown in Figure 24 below), and then touch “SAVE” in the upper right corner to save, so that no useless currency combinations will appear when you enter the main screen after selecting multi-country mixed counting mode.
Mixed counting mode use
- In the main screen of the machine, press the “CURRENCY” button or the “ ” symbol in the upper left corner of the display to enter the currency selection screen, as shown in Figure 13. Touch “NEXT” at the bottom right corner to jump to the page until the “Mult” logo is displayed, as shown in Figure 25 below.
- Click “Mult” to automatically mix multi-currency counting and the display will automatically adjust to the main screen after selection, as shown in Figure 26 below:
- Take a handful of banknotes (USD, THB, SAR, CNY mixed together) and put them into the machine for counting, after the counting is completed, the following figure 27 is displayed:
Counting speed setting
The machine has three counting speeds: high speed, medium speed and low speed.
The three counting speeds and functions corresponding to each counting mode

The default counting speed of the machine is medium (1000 pcs/minute). If you want to set it, you can touch the “SP:M” button at the bottom right corner of the display to switch the speed in any counting mode, as shown in Figure 28 below, the speed of counting in MIX mixed counting mode is set to Middle (1000 pcs/minute).
Check counting details on the machine
Check counting details
In MIX mixed counting mode or SORT single denomination counting mode, press
the “DETAIL” button on the right after counting to view the counting details,
as shown in Figure 29, and Figure 30 show the itemized list of counting
result:
- This screen is used to view the number of pieces of various denominations of banknotes and the total amount of that denomination, as well as the total amount of all banknotes.
- Also, banknotes can be placed directly under this screen for counting. To exit this screen, press the “CLEAR” key on the right or touch the ” key in the upper right corner of the display.
Check serial numbers of the banknotes
- In MIX mixed counting mode or SORT single denomination counting mode, when the counting speed is at “SP:L (800 pcs/min)” and “SP:M (1000 pcs/min)”, press the “DETAIL” key on the right after counting is finished. Press “DETAIL” key on the right after counting is completed to view the details of the counted banknotes, and press “DETAIL” on the right again to enter the interface of serial number, as shown in Figure 31 below.
- The machine will not automatically count the banknotes in the interface of serial number, you must touch the “ESC” key in the upper left corner of the display or press “CLEAR” on the right side to return to the count detail interface or the main interface of the machine, then count the banknotes. After the count is completed, press “DETAIL” two times to enter interface of the serial number as shown in Figure 32 below:

Default batch value setting
In the main screen, press the “BATCH” key on the right side of the front panel
or touch the “25” value character in the upper left corner of the display
(Figure 33 below) to switch the default batch values. The default value is
10/25/50/100/200/OFF. (For example, Figure 33 is batch value 25, Figure 34 is
batch value function off). You can also modify the previous batch value of
“10/25/50/100/200”. When the batch number is off, the default batch number of
the machine is 200, and the machine will stop automatically when the batch
number reaches 200.
Modify default batch values
- In the main interface, first press the “SET” button on the right side to enter the “USER MENU” interface, as shown in Figure 10 below, and then touch the first item “1. Preference” to enter the “PREFERENCE SETTING” interface, as shown in Figure 11 below.
- Touch “2. Batch parameter” under the screen in Figure 11 to enter the BATCH SETTING screen, as shown in Figure 35.
- BATCH1, BATCH2, BATCH3, and BATCH4 on the right side of the above figure are the four default system batch values. If the customer does not need to use one or more of the default four values, the values can be changed.
- Example: The default batch number 25 is not required by the customer. The customer needs a value of 155, then the operation is as follows:
- Touch “BATCH 25” and the button changes from gray to white, as shown in Figure 36 below:
- Enter “155” directly on the numeric keys on the right side of the display, and the value of “BATCH2” will also become 155, as shown in Figure 37 below. Please touch the key on the upper right corner to save the new batch number.
- Please press “CLEAR” to return to the main screen, and then press “B:” at the top of the display to switch to the previously set value 155, as shown in Figure 38 below:

Press and hold the “BATCH” key on the right side of the front panel for 3 seconds in the main screen until the custom batch value screen pops up, as shown in Figure 39 below:
Tip: “Range:5~200” means the batch value must be between 5 and 200, otherwise it cannot be saved by pressing“ ”key. -
At this point, we enter the example value in the input field: 155, as shown in Figure 40. Click the“ ”key in the upper right corner of the display again to save. The machine automatically jumps to the main interface, and the current preset number also jumps to 155, as shown in Figure 41 below.
Accumulation mode
- In any counting mode, press the “ADD” key on the left side of the membrane or touch the “ADD” character on the left side of the display to turn on and off the counting accumulation function.
- The character “ADD” on the left side of the display becomes pure white font, while the prompt “Information: ADD:ON” appears on the display, indicating that the accumulation function is on, as shown in Figure 42.
- The character “ADD” on the left side of the display turns into gray font, and the prompt “Information: ADD:OFF” appears on the display, indicating that the totalization function is turned off, as shown in Figure 43.
- The accumulation function is of f: put a handful of banknotes into the machine for counting, and the machine will display the number of banknotes and amount of this count after the count is completed. The machine will only display the information of the banknotes counted this time and not the information of the previously counted banknotes after the count is completed.
- When the counting is finished, it will display the number of banknotes and the amount of banknotes counted this time. The machine will display the number of banknotes and the amount of banknotes counted for the second time when all the banknotes in the hopper are taken out and put back in for the second count. When you take the banknotes out of the hopper, the machine will add up the number of banknotes and the amount of the first counted banknotes for the second time. At this time, press CLEAR once to clear the information of the first count, and press CLEAR again to clear all the counted banknotes.
- If an error occurs during the counting process, the machine will automatically delete the information of the counted banknotes and prompt for a new count.
Counterfeit detection gear setting
Simple counterfeit gear setting
- The machine is divided into three levels: high, medium and low. In the main interface of the machine, press the “CF” button on the left side of the front panel below or touch the “CF:M” character in the lower left corner of the display to adjust the detection level of the machine. The detection level will be switched in the order of “CF:H-CF:L-CF:M”, as shown in Figure 44, the machine is in the low detection level of “CF:L”.
- Press the “CF” key to adjust the counterfeit detection gear, the main interface will also show that it has switched to the corresponding counterfeit detection gear, as shown in Figure 45, that is, the counterfeit detection gear has become “Medium” medium gear.

In the main interface, first press the “SET” button on the right side to enter the “USER MENU” interface, as shown in Figure 10 below, and then touch the first item “1. Preference” to enter the “PREFERENCE SETTING” interface, as shown in Figure 11 below.

Touch “1. Counterfeit level” to enter the CF SETTING interface, as shown in Figure 46.

” means the detection gear is in the middle gear, the default value of detection capacity is 3.
Click the button in the upper left corner to check the detection gear (H, M, L). -
Customers can set the corresponding detection level according to their actual counting needs. If you need to modify one or more of the detection levels, you can directly click the “NEW” value behind the display.
Example: If the customer wants to reduce the detection level of MG under the mid-range, please do the following: -
The initial parameters for the mid-range are shown below. the default MG check value is 3 and the default NEW line value is 3, as shown in Figure 47 below:

Touch the value 3 in the NEW row corresponding to the MG and the following screen appears, as shown in Figure 48. Each detection capability has 6 values, from 0 to 5. 0 means the detection capability is off, 1 means the weakest detection capability, and 5 means the strongest detection capability. At this time, the level of the detection capability of MG needs to be lowered, so click “Level 2” to set the level value to 2, as shown in Figure 49.

After selecting “Level 2”, the value of the corresponding NEW line in MG will change to 2, then please click the “SAVE” button in the upper right corner to save the value, as shown in Figure 50. The display will jump back to the screen shown in Figure 11.

Then touch the “1. Counterfeit level” key to enter the counterfeit detection interface, you can see that the value of the MG counterfeit detection gear changes to 2, as shown in Figure 51 below:
Time and date settings
- In the main interface, first press the “SET” button on the right side to enter the “USER MENU” interface, as shown in Figure 10 below, and then select the first item “1.Preference” to enter the “PREFERENCE SETTING” interface, as shown in Figure 52 below.
- Touch “1. Time and date” to enter the ” Time and Date ” screen, as shown in Figure 53 below:
- Touch the time and date values and the font underline will turn white. At this point, the customer can modify the time and date to suit their needs. After modification, please click “SAVE” button on the top right corner to save.
Buzzer setting
- In the main interface, first press the “SET” button on the right side to enter the “USER MENU” interface, as shown in Figure 10 below, and then select the first item “1.Preference” to enter the “PREFERENCE SETTING” interface, as shown in Figure 52 below.
- Click “2. Buzzer On/Off” to enter the buzzer setting interface, as shown in Figure 54 below. Touch the On/Off button, the shade will change to white.
- Touch the On or Off button and the bottom line will change to white.
- Touch “ENABLE” to turn on the buzzer, and then click the “SAVE” button at the top right to save it. Touch “DISABLE” to turn off the buzzer, and then click the “SAVE” button in the upper right corner to save it.
Software version check
In the main interface, first press the “SET” button on the right side of the
panel to enter the “USER MENU” interface, as shown in Figure 10 below, and
then press “4. Version” to enter the “SOFTWARE SETTING” interface as shown in
Figure 55:
Check counting history information
- In the main interface, first press the “SET” button on the right side of the panel to enter the “USER MENU” interface, as shown in Figure 10 below, and then press the “SET” button twice in a row to enter Debug mode, as shown in Figure 56 below:
- In the screen shown in Figure 56, touch “1. Historical data” to enter the counting history information screen, as shown in Figure 57 below.
- “Total 64059” represents the total number of historical counting pcs.
- “Suspicious 122” represents the historical total number of pcs counted for the suspect banknote.
- “Currency USD EUR” represents the two currencies with the highest number of counting.
- “Error code ERR-001 ERR-000” represents the two error codes that have the highest number of alarms for counting.
- Press ” key on the right side to clear the data, the interface is shown in Figure 58 below:
Restore factory settings
- In the main interface, first press the “SET” button on the right side of the front panel to enter the “USER MENU” interface, as shown in Figure 10 below, and then press the “SET” button twice in a row to enter Debug mode, as shown in Figure 56 below.
- Touch the “2. Factory setting” key to enter the Restore factory settings screen, as shown in Figure 59 below.
- Click ” ” button to restore the factory settings, and restore all other settings to the initial state except the initial time and date settings. After restoring the factory settings, please restart the machine as shown in Figure 60 below:

If you are purchasing a serial thermal printer. Please check the appropriate baud rate first according to the printer instructions.

In the main interface of the machine, press “SET” on the right side of the film below to enter the main USER MENU interface, as shown in Figure 10 below. Then press “2. General” to enter the “GENERAL SETTING” interface as shown in Figure 61.

Press “3. Serial port mode” to enter SERIAL PORT SETTING interface, as shown in Figure 62.

In the “SERIAL PORT SETTING” interface, first click the left MODE column to select “PRINTER”, then click on the right BUAD RATE column to select the baud rate “115200 “. After finishing the selection, click
the ” ” button in the upper right corner to save, as shown in Figure 63 below. -
Connect the printer to the power supply, connect one end of the data cable inside the printer box to the printer and the other end to the RS232 interface of the machine.

After the external printer is connected and ready to print, press the “DETAIL” key to enter the schedule view interface, and then press the “PRINT” key, the printer will print the counting details. The format of the printout is shown in Figure 64 below.

Introduction of counting data upload to PC
If the customer wants to upload the machine’s counting detail data to PC, the
customer needs to do the following:
Serial port connection
Take a USB to 232 serial cable, connect the USB end to the PC, and plug the
232 serial end into the machine, as shown in Figure 65:
Machine settings
- In the main interface of the machine, press “SET” on the right side of the film below to enter the main USER MENU interface, as shown in Figure 10 below. Then press “2. General” to enter the “GENERAL SETTING” interface as shown in Figure 61:
- Press “3. Serial port mode” to enter the SERIAL PORT SETTING interface, as shown in Figure 66.
- In the “SERIAL PORT SETTING” interface, first click the left MODE column to select “PC”, then click 4800, 9600 or 115200 to select the corresponding baud rate according to the actual situation of the external device. The factory default baud rate of the machine is “115200”. After the selection is complete, click the upper right corner ” to save, as shown in Figure 67 below.
Data acquisition PC software instructions
- Open and unzip the PC software provided by us and you will get a folder named “Release”, which contains the following contents.
- Double-click on “UpperMonitor.exe” to display the following Figure 69:
- Select the serial port and baud rate, the baud rate should be the same as the machine.
- Click Open, the Port and Baud Rate characters turn gray, and Open turns to Close. At this time, please count the banknotes at the machine side, after the count is completed, the software interface will display the counting details simultaneously, as shown in Figure 71 and Figure 72 below.
- At the same time a new folder Data” ” will be created in the PC software folder, open this folder” the newly created folder” and you can find the counted banknote records.
- Remind:
- Type “ ” in front of the PDF, tap the counting detail file will be saved as PDF automatically.
- If not marked before the PDF the counting detail file will be automatically saved as XLSX format.
Introduction of the connection with external displays
This machine is suitable for external monitors with RJ12 connectors. Take an
external monitor as an example, as follows:

Insert the RJ12 plug of the external monitor into the RJ12 connector on the back of the machine, as shown in Figure 75:

After the machine is turned on and the currency of the corresponding country is selected, the code of the corresponding country is also displayed on the external display.
Example: The machine selects USD currency mixed counting mode, as shown in Figure 76. At this time, the word “USD” will appear on the external display, as shown in Figure 77. -
Put in a handful of dollars for counting. When the counting is finished, the total number of banknotes counted and the total amount of money counted will appear on the display, as shown in Figure 78 below. Two lines of values also appear on the external display at this time: the first line is for the number of banknotes counted and the second line is for the total amount of banknotes counted, as shown in Figure 79:

Software upgrades
Prepare USB flash drive
The software upgrade of this machine adopts the U disk upgrade method. Please
insert the U disk into the computer and put the upgrade software
**.ZPK (suffix .ZPK) provided by our company into the bottom of the
root directory of the U disk, please do not modify the software suffix name,
otherwise the machine will not recognize the U disk and the upgrade will fail.
Software upgrades
- Insert the USB flash drive into the machine’s USB port in the off state, as shown in Figure 80 below.
- Turn on the power of the machine, the machine automatically reads the software in the USB flash drive for upgrading. First, the software loading interface appears as shown in Figure 81. A progress bar appears after successful loading, as shown in Figure 82 below.
- After the progress bar is full, the machine will display the message “Upgrade succeed! Please restart the machine” As shown in Figure 83 below. At this point, please unplug the USB flash drive and reboot the machine until it enters the main interface.
- Daily cleaning instructions
Any dust, dirt or other substances adhering to the sensor will interfere with the proper operation of the sensor and cause erroneous counting results. Therefore, the sensor must be cleaned daily as needed using the included cleaning tool.
Please turn off the power switch before cleaning to prevent electric shock or other injury accidents. Do not use chemicals such as benzene, thinner or water, which may cause the machine to fade or crack.
Clean hopper sensor
Clean the start-up sensor with a clean brush or cleaning cloth as shown in
Figure 84. Clean drum roller and feeding block
Use a clean brush or cleaning cloth to clean the feeding block and the drum
roller as shown in Figure 85 below.
Clean stacker sensor
Clean the stacker sensor with a clean brush or cleaning cloth as shown in Figure 86 below.
Clean channel internal sensors
- Pull the back cover in the direction of Figure 87 to open the back cover.
- Wipe the upper CIS marked 1 in one direction with a dust-free cloth.
- Wipe the lower CIS sensor marked 1 in one direction with a dust-free cloth, and then clean the lower UV lamp marked 2 with a clean brush.
Common error and corresponding instructions
During the use of the machine, abnormal conditions may occur in the machine,
resulting in abnormal operation, and the machine will display the
corresponding error message. The following provides the phenomena when the
machine is malfunctioning. Please refer to the maintenance manual for the
specific handling method. If the user still cannot solve the problem according
to the maintenance manual, please contact your local agent.
