- Make sure the heat pad stay away from sawdust and other flammable objects.
PART 3: Placement of Heat Pad:

PART 4: Room Temperature
- Always unplug your Raintrip reptile heat pad if the room temperature of your house rises above 80″F (26.6C). (Unless using the thermostat to control the heat pad.)
- Since heat is dissipated during conduction, setting the desired temperature two degrees higher than your target temperature is recommended.
PART 5: Reptile Water Bowl Placement
- Do not place water bowl above the heat pad.
- If the bottom of terrarium can get wet this could cause a stress crack on heat pad with this type of mounting. Always use a substrate that will absorb water and keep your water bowl on the opposite side of the terrarium from the Raintrip reptile heat pad.
To maximize against the possibility of stress cracks from water spills, etc., side mounting of heat pad recommend.

MOUNTING
- ADHESIVE PAPER
The adhesive paper is enclosed in the package and did not pre-exist on the rear of the heat pad.
Customers need to decide if they stick heat pads to the terrarium or not based on themselves.
The guides are below for reference:
-
Take out the mat and spread it out on the table.
-
Flatten the mat by placing the books on the top corners.
-
Use scissors to cut out multiple small pieces of adhesive paper of equal size, then stick them to the rear of the mat, following the reference pattern below.
Also, you could paste it according to your ideas. -
Around half an hour to an hour after the mat was stuck on the terrarium.
Plug and power on the thermostat controller. -
After the mat is stuck onto the terrarium, apply a layer of clear tape along the mat’s perimeter for a stronger bond. (at your discretion)
NOTE:
Adhesive paper stuck on the side without text.
BUTTOM MOUNTING
1.1 Clean the surface of the terrarium.
1.2 Peel adhesive paper off back of heat pad(refer to part” ADHESIVE PAPER”)
and stick the heat pad to the bottom of terrarium.
Place heat pad on either the right or left side of terrarium and gently rub
heat pad to make firm contact. This allows one side of your terrarium to be
warmer than the other, providing a natural temperature gradient.
1.3 The heat pad must be stuck to the terrarium. Remember always use the hard
objects as feet to elevate your terrarium thus allowing the heat to escape.
NOTE:
- 0nce the heat pad is installed onto a tank, it cannot be removed and reused.
- The warranty does not cover the heat pad being removed once attached, as this can easily damage the internal wire connections.
SIDE MOUNTING
If your terrarium is located on any type of antique stand or dresser or if
there is fabric (i.e; tablecloth, etc…) underneath your terrarium then side
mounting of the heat pad is recommended.
Simply remove adhesive paper from the back of the heat pad and stick to side
of your terrarium.
WARNING:
DO NOT put the reptile on the heating pad on power directly.
