Introduction

• VU3 is a multifunctional device integrating an analog VU meter & amplifier/speaker switcher box, which can provide a wonderful visual experience when switching audio signals.
• All channels of VU3 adopt a fully isolated design, and each group of GND is independent without mutual interference.
• vu3 supports up to 100W power input and output, and supports all kinds of amplifiers such as BTL / class A/class B / class D digital amplifier / tube amplifier etc.

How to use

1. Connect the USB power cord to the DC 5V IN interface, and VU3 will auto-power on. And please prepare the CR2025 battery and insert it into the remote control battery socket.
2. Connect 2 amplifiers to the corresponding interface of AMPLIFIER A / B and connect 2 pairs of speakers to SPEAKER 1 / 2 of VU3.
3. Freely choose Amplifier A or B input and Speaker 1 or 2 output via buttons on the front panel or remote control.
4. Rotate the swing range knob to adjust the appropriate swing range to get better display effects.
5. After use, long press the AMPLIFIER Button for 3 seconds or press Power ON/OFF button on the remote control to turn VU3 off.

Warm tips

1. It is better not to connect VU3 to amplifiers whose actual output power is greater than 100W, or else the VU meter may be damaged. 100W refers to the actual power output from the amplifier to the speaker. For example, your amplifier max can output up to 200W, but you only use it in the room and turn on the volume to about 20W. The actual power is 20W but not 200W.
2. VU3 can be used as a 2-IN-1-OUT or 1-IN-2-OUT switcher between the amplifier and speaker, but 2 channels cannot input or output at the same time.
3. When power VU3 is off, Amplifier B channel input and Speaker 2 channel output will be auto-selected and can output audio signal normally. And when power VU3 is on again, it will auto-switch to the channels that were set before, this situation is because of the reset state of the relay in VU3 when the power is off.
4. The USB power supply can only be single voltage 5V, and the current is at least 1A or above. Not recommended to use fast charging sources with dual voltages, such as 5V and 9V integrated fast charging sources.

FAQ

Q1: The pointer of the VU Meter is moving even if there is no music input.

1. A: The quality of the USB power supply is poor with large ripples that cause great interference. Recommended to change a better USB power supply.
2. The output power of the amplifier is too large so the noise is loud, it can only be improved by adjusting the SWING RANGE knob, no better solution for this at present.

Q2: When choosing certain functions via remote control, the backlight of the VU meter will also flash?

A: This is an original design and normal.
