**Installation Precautions
**
Before installing the product, make sure to follow these precautions:
- Disconnect power at the main fuse box before installation.
- This fixture is intended for installation by the National Electrical Code (NEC) and all local code specifications.
- If you are not familiar with code requirements, installation by a certified electrician is recommended.
Assembly
- Hold the mounting bracket (A) so that the two holes along the edge of the mounting bracket are on the top and bottom.
- Carefully pull the house wires through the round hole in the mounting bracket (A).
- Align the holes in the mounting bracket (A) with the holes in the junction box.
- Thread each junction box screw (B) into the holes in the mounting bracket (A) and the holes in the junction box. Tighten the junction box screws (B) to secure the mounting bracket (A) to the junction box. Make sure the house wires are pulled completely through the hole in the mounting bracket. Do not pinch wires between the mounting bracket and the wall.
Wire Connections
- Strip 3/4 of the insulation from the ends of the fixture wires.
- Slightly loosen the ground screw on the mounting bracket (A), leaving it attached. Wrap the house ground wire (copper) around the ground screw, leaving enough ground wire to attach to the fixture ground wire. Twist the end of the fixture ground wire and the end of the house ground wire together. Twist the wire nut (C) onto the ends of the wires. Completely tighten the wire nut (C). Refer to the chart below for correct wire connections.
- Twist the end of the house lead wire (black) and the end of the fixture lead wire together. Twist the wire nut (C) onto the ends of the wires. Completely tighten the wire nut (C). Twist the end of the house neutral wire (white) and the end of the fixture neutral wire together. Twist the wire nut (C) onto the ends of the wires. Completely tighten the wire nut (C). Refer to the chart on the right for correct wire connections.
- Wrap electrical tape (not included) around the wire nuts (C) and wires to ensure they are securely fastened.
- Carefully push all wires and wire nuts into the junction box.
**Mounting
**
- Place the backplate (D) over the mounting bracket (A).
- Make sure not to pinch any wires between the backplate and the wall.

ASSEMBLY INSTRUCTIONS

Hold mounting bracket (A) so the two holes along the edge of the mounting bracket (A) are on the top and bottom of the mounting bracket (A) and the head of the attached ground screw is facing outward.

Carefully pull house wires through the round hole in the mounting bracket (A).

Align holes in mounting bracket (A) with holes in the junction box.

Thread each junction box screw (B) into holes in the mounting bracket (A) and roles in the unction box. Tighten junction box screws (B) to secure mounting bracket (A) to the junction box.
CAUTION:
Make sure house wires are pulled completely through the hole in the mounting bracket. DO NOT pinch wires between the mounting bracket and wall. -
Strip 3/4” of insulation from ethe nds of fixture wires.

Slightly loosen the ground screw on the mounting bracket (A). Do not completely remove the ground screw. Wrap house ground wire (copper) around the ground screw, leaving enough ground wire to attach to the fixture ground wire. Twist the end of the fixture ground wire and the end of the house ground wire together. Twist wire nut (C) on the ends of the wires. Completely tighten wire nut (C). Reference the chart below for correct wire connections.
Connect Supply (House) Ground Copper Wire to:Bare Copper Wire or,
Bare Silver Wire or,
Green Insulated Wire. -
Twist the end of the house lead wire (black) and the end of the fixture lead wire together. Twist wire nut (C) onto the ends of the wires. Completely tighten wire nut (C). Twist the end of the house neutral wire (white) and the end of the fixture neutral wire together. Twist wire nut (C) onto the ends of the wires. Completely tighten wire nut (C). Reference chart to the right for correct wire connections.

Wrap electrical tape (not included) around wire nuts (C) and wires. Ensure wires are securely fastened into wire nuts.
Connect Black Lead Supply (House) Wire to:| Connect White Neutral Supply (House) Wire to:

*When parallel wire (SPT 1 & SPT 2) is used: The lead wire is round in shape or smooth. The neutral wire is square or ridged.

Carefully push all wires and wire nuts into the junction box.

Place backplate (D) over mounting bracket (A).
CAUTION:
Do not pinch wires between the backplate and the wall. -
Align holes in the top and bottom of the backplate (D) with holes in the top and bottom along the edge of the mounting bracket (A). Thread one fixture mounting screw (E) into each hole at the top and bottom of the backplate (D) and holes in the mounting bracket (A). Tighten fixture mounting screws (E) to secure the fixture to the wall.

Pass hole in the top of shade (K) over the socket. Slip spacer (G) over socket. Thread socket ring (L) onto socket. Tighten socket ring (L) to secure shade (K) in place. DO NOT over-tighten.

Screw recommended bulb (E26 Edison bulb type, not included) into the socket. Verify the correct bulb wattage marked on the socket of the fixture.
WARNING :
DO NOT exceed maximum bulb wattage.
