AS T626 Electronic Keypad Deadbolt
American Door Locks Fits:
- 1 3/8 in. (35mm) to 1 3/4 in. (45mm) Door Thickness.
- 2 3/8 in. (60mm) to 2 3/4 in. (70mm) Backsets.
Check Door Compatibility
Caution:
- DO NOT use electric screwdriver, only hand tighten screws with Phillips screwdriver.
- DO NOT over-tighten screws.
Installation

Installing Latch & Strike Plate
Deadbolt Latch Set is shipped with the backset at 2-3/8″ (60mm), Measure the backset (backset is distance between edge of the door and the center of Lock). NOTE: DO NOT extend Cylindrical Cover past 2-3/4″ (70mm).
1.1 Set latch from 2-3/8″ (60mm) to 2-3/4” (70mm) 1.2 Set latch from 2-3/4″ (70mm) to 2-3/8″ (60mm) NOTE: Press the head of latch while pushing from the other side.
1.3 Installing Latch & Strike Plate IMPORTANT: Keep the latch in unlocked position before installation. Note:
Insert Deadbolt Latch Set into door edge hole with the word “UP” and the arrow on the extension plate facing UP. Cross shaped spindle connector will be at the bottom of the Deadbolt Latch Set.
Make sure the face plate sits flush with the door. Do not force the latch into the mortise flush.
Chisel out excess material if necessary for a flush fit.
For drive in latch drill hole size indicated on template and press latch until it is flush with door edge. -
Installing Exterior Assembly
Make sure the silicon gasket is attached to the surface in the correct position.
Remove the keys and keep the key whole vertical. (bolt in unlocked/retracted position). Temporarily fix exterior assembly with Tapes Check if the latch opens and closes easily by locking/unlocking a few times by key. -

Attaching the Cable Assembly
- Set the turning piece to the Vertical position
- Attaching the cable NOTE:
The correct direction to install plug and socket is marked by color.
Forcing the plug to the socket could result in damage to the product.
Ensure the batteries have not been inserted when connecting the data cable!

Installing Interior Assembly

Installing Batteries/Handing the Lock Lock automatically adjusts for proper handing.
Insert 4 AA high quality alkaline batteries into the Battery
Compartment in the indicated direction. The lock will beep twice (long > short) then the keypad will illuminate. The lock will automatically identify the door handing. During door handing identification, ensure the lock is not in any way operated until the process is complete. The lock will beep and the keypad will flash when completed.
CAUTION:
• DO NOT use rechargeable batteries or non-alkaline batteries.
• DO NOT mix new batteries with old ones.
• DO NOT power off until operation is restored after factroy reset. -

FAQ
Why am I not able to pull out the key?
Check if the tail piece is vertical position. Please refer to step 2. Why is the tail piece jammed?
Check if the deadbolt latch is upside down. Please refer to step 1. Why am | not able to close the door?
The surface of the strike plate and the bolt should flush with the door. Why does the key fail to turn to horizontal position when locked? The head of the deadbolt latch is not pressed when setting the latch. Please refer to step 1.
Why do | fail to turn the key nor twist the turnpiece?
Deadbolt latch must be retracted when installing. Please refer to step 1. The Turning Piece location is wrong when installing. Please refer to step 2.
