IMPORTANT NOTES

  • Using distilled, purified or filtered water is highly recommended to maintain optimal performance. Tap water contains minerals that build up over time.
  • Any water droplets visible inside the tank upon unpacking are from individual quality control tests done to ensure every steamer meets our high standards for product performance.
  • Do not use perfumes, oils or other additives.
  • Always review the garment manufacturer’ scare label instructions before steaming, and always test fabrics for colorfastness in inconspicuous areas (such as an inseam). Steamers are not recommended for use on leather, suede,  inyl, plastic or other steam-sensitive fabrics.
  • During use the steamer will become hot. Avoid touching the steam head while still hot.
  • After preheating, press and hold the steam button to steam fabrics.
  • It is normal to feel or hear the water pump in the handle.
  • The water pump may become louder when the water level in the tank is low. Check and refill the tank as needed.

OPERATION INSTRUCTIONS

FILLING THE WATER TANK

  1. Hold the handle to stabilize the steamer and remove the removable water tank by rotating it counterclockwise with the other hand.

  3. Pour water into the opening and then close the rubber cover securely.
  4. Dry off any excess water from the tank, press in the water tank and secure by turning clockwise.
Note: The steam test will be carried out before the machine is shipped, so it is a normal phenomenon that there are water droplets left in the water tank, and it is not a second-hand product.

USING THE STEAMER

  1. Read the manufacturer’s fabric label to make sure the fabrics are suitable for steaming.

  2.  Hang the garment in an area that will not be impacted by heat and steam, such as on a shower rod.
    • This steamer is anti-dripping, meaning it can be used horizontally to steam garments on an ironing board.

  3. Plug the steamer into the outlet; the indicator light will turn white and flash to indicate that the steamer is heating.

  4. Dry off any excess water from the tank, press in the water tank and secure by turning clockwise.

Note: Please press the steam button after the white indicator light is always on, otherwise it may cause the steamer to leak.

  6. Use your free hand to keep the fabric taut and stretched. Steam the garment with slow downward strokes of steam, keeping the head of the steamer in contact with the fabric.
Note: It is normal to feel or hear the pump in the handle

  7. When finished steaming, release the steam button and unplug from the socket.

  8. Allow the steamer to cool completely before storing. To avoid mineral buildup, empty the water tank after each use.

Steamer - brush CLEANING

  1. Wait half an hour for the appliance to completely cool down.
  2.  Clean the plastic parts of the appliance with a dry cloth.
  3. Never wash or rinse appliance directly over a sink.
  4. The handle can be folded up easily as shown in the picture.

STORING YOUR CLEVAST STEAMER

  1. Store it in a cool dry place.
  2. DO NOT wrap the power cord around the unit, place it loosely.

NOTE: Water containing mineral levels will vary depending on the place where you live in. To ensure the continuous operation of the steamer, never store it without cleaning and removing excess water from the water container or tank. If you fill your steamer with tap water, you may experience mineral build-up due to the high mineral content in the water supply in many cities. Mineral residue inside your steamer’ s internal heater may cause intermittent steaming or, in
severe cases no steaming at all.
To avoid the problem, only use de-mineralized or distilled water in your steamer. If you are unable to use de-mineralized or distilled water, we recommend you to follow the cleaning procedure below at least once a month to help avoid mineral build-up.
ANTI CALC

  • Anti-calc operation can be done if you notice your appliance performance has decreased.
  • Do this operation in a vented room.

Steps:

  1. Remove the water tank.
  2. Fill the water tank with 0.1oz citric acid (you can also use 50% water and 50% white vinegar).
  3. Return the water tank to its place on the appliance. Make sure the water tank is fully set in place.
  4. Switch on the appliance.
  5.  Wait at least 35 seconds before pressing the steam button.
  6. Allow the appliance to run until the water tank has completely emptied.
  7. FiIL the water tank with 100% water and repeat the operation until the water tank is completely empty in order to rinse the appliance.

CARE & MAINTENANCE

CLEANING THE STEAMER EXTERIOR

  1. Make sure the steamer is unplugged and completely cool.
  2.  Wipe the ironing plate and outer surface with a soft, damp cloth. Water and a small amount of gentle household soap, such as dishwashing liquid, can be used on the exterior. Never use heavy-duty cleaner or abrasive scouring pads that may scratch or discolor the steamer.
  3.  After the steamer has been thoroughly dried, turn it back on and lightly steam over an old cloth. This will help remove any residue left in the steam holes.
  4.  When finished cleaning, unplug the steamer, empty the water tank and allow it to cool before storing.

STORING THE STEAMER
Once the steamer has been disconnected from the power outlet, allow it to cool, empty the water from the water tank and clean the tank, fold the steamer and store it on a flat surface.
