Instruction Manual

603H Technology Sake Comfort

KALOR TECH thermostats can use an internal and an external temperature sensor. To attain maximum accuracy, an external sensor can be added. Please follow the steps below to attach the external sensor.
NOTE: If your device did not include a sensor, we can provide one to you free of charge within the continental United States. Please send us an email to sales@kalortech.ideasolver.com and we’ll ship one out. Be sure to include your name, full address, and your Walmart or Amazon order number if available.

  1. Turn power off to the device at the service panel.

  2.  Ensure that the device has no power.

  3. Open the device as per your model.
    a) For the 603H models, push the front of the thermostat upwards.
    b) For the 829 models, pry open the unit using the enclosed tool. If such tool is not available, using a pencil for leverage and a flat-head screwdriver, carefully pry open the cover from the bottom of the unit.

  4. Release the white wall plate screws. It may be necessary to unscrew the back plate screws as well.

  5. Pull out the thermostat and wall plate together, maintaining contact with one another.

  6. On the right side of the device, locate terminals 5 and 6, and unscrew fully the corresponding screws.

  7. Once the terminals are fully open, insert the sensor, regardless of polarity. Ensure that the cables are fully seated.

  8. Tighten the screws and ensure cables are secure.

  9. Place the sensor probe away from the back of the thermostat by a few inches inside the electrical box, or by feeding it into the wall.

  10.  Push the thermostat and back plate into position and tighten screws. Re-insert thermostat cover.

  11. Return power to the device at the service panel.

  12. With the thermostat in the OFF position, open the Tuya or Smart Life applications and select the thermostat just serviced.

  13. Select Settings, Sensor Selection, and change to OUT (to rely on the external sensor solely) or All (to obtain readings from both). Select Confirm.

  14. Turn your thermostat ON.

NOTE: The external sensor can be cut to the desired length ensuring that the sensor probe (bulging head) is never damaged or cut.
