Preparation
- Set the bottle warmer on a stable, clean bench indoors with access to a properly grounded power outlet.
- Pour in one cup water. When you put the bottle or food container into the basket, check that the water level is no higher than 15mm from the top lip of the warmer. Take some of the water out if the level is too high. For Sterilisation pour in only 90mls water.
- Assemble with the basket and put the bottle or food container into the basket, then put the cover on with the lid flap closed (unless the bottle is too tall).
- Plug in, you will hear a beep when you switch the power outlet on.
- Why should I slow-warm the breastmilk?
Human milk is a live fluid that starts to be denatured above 40 degrees Celsius. A baby’s ability to metabolise the milk and convert it to energy is reduced when the beneficial probiotic bacteria, anti-inflammatory components, nutritional and immunological properties are destroyed by heat. To avoid a significant loss of the nutritional and immunological properties of breast milk, warm the milk slowly at between 37 and 40 degrees Celsius. This is important for all babies and especially for preterm and sick babies.

What temperature should the water be pre-warmed to for warming a bottle?
Prepare in advance: Set the temperature to 37 – 40 degrees Celsius and let the
water warm to that temperature (allow 40+ minutes)
Then 10+ minutes before you want to feed the baby, put the bottle in to warm
slowly and safely to retain all the goodness.
Note: The current temp of the heating element is displayed.
CAUTION
Before feeding your baby, gently swirl the bottle a little to ensure the
temperature of the milk is even, then test the temperature of the milk by
putting a few drops on the inside of your wrist. Do not leave the milk warming
for long periods of time. If the milk is partially consumed, do not rewarm and
throw it out.

What temperature should I warm the food to?
A heating temperature range between 40°C to 70°C helps to preserve the
nutrients in the food. Allow time for the food in the container to warm up. Do
not leave the food warming for long periods of time.
CAUTION
Before feeding your baby, stir the food to ensure the temperature is even,
then test the temperature before feeding your child to make sure that it is
not too hot. If the food is partially consumed, do not rewarm, throw it out.
