Installation Guides
Installation Description
- It is recommended to simulate the installation test of the device on the desktop before installing the device on the door or window.
- After choosing the installation position of the door or window, please clean the surface of the installation place first, fix the main unit on the surface with double-sided tape, and then install the magnetic block close to the right side of the main unit. Key Notes
- Make sure that the device is only used indoors. Do not install it under direct sunlight or anywhere it could be exposed to rain.
- The device can be installed on the side or top of a door or window. Even the door and the door frame are not on the same plane, as long as you make sure the main unit and the magnet block are close enough to work ( and of course, your door could open and close freely).
- After the installation, make sure that the distance between the main unit and the magnetic block is no more than 2/5 inch (1cm) when the door or window is closed, and you can put shims under the magnet block or main unit if necessary to ensure that they are close to each other.
- If you feel that the sound is too loud in the alarm mode, you can switch to the doorbell mode or simply cover the buzzer with transparent tape, which will significantly lower the volume.
