Product Usage Instructions

Setting Up Additional Wi-Fi Pod(s):

1. Choose a location for the additional Wi-Fi pod and plug it into a power outlet.
2. Wait for the light on the top of the Wi-Fi pod to turn solid green. This may take up to 5 minutes.
3. Your additional Wi-Fi pod is now connected to your Wi-Fi network.

Connecting Wired Devices:
Each Deco M5 Wi-Fi pod has two ethernet ports. Follow these steps to connect a nearby device:

1. Connect your modem to the LAN port 1 of your main Wi-Fi pod using an ethernet cable.
2. Connect the nearby device to the LAN port 2 of any additional Wi-Fi pod using an ethernet cable.

Setting Up High Speed Internet Service and Wi-Fi Network:
Follow these steps to set up your high-speed internet service and Wi-Fi network:

1. Connect one end of the coaxial cable to the cable port on your modem and the other end to a nearby cable outlet.
2. Connect one end of an ethernet cable to LAN port 1 of your modem and the other end to any port on your main Wi-Fi pod.
3. Plug the power supply for your modem and main Wi-Fi pod into a power outlet.
4. Wait for the light on the top of the Wi-Fi pod to turn steady green. This may take about 5 minutes.
5. Go to Wi-Fi settings on a device you want to connect and search for available Wi-Fi networks.
6. Select the Wi-Fi Network (SSID) “Distributel12345” and enter the password “1234567891012”.

Customizing Wi-Fi Name and Password:
To customize your Wi-Fi name and password, follow these steps:

1. Download the TP-Link Deco app from the Google Play Store or Apple App Store.
2. Open the app and follow the instructions to customize your Wi-Fi name and password.
3. You can also find additional features such as parental controls, anti-virus, and creating a separate network for guests in the app.

Setting Up Your High Speed Internet Service and Wi-Fi Network

Begin your Wi-Fi set up after your technician visit is complete or after your installation window has passed.

1. Step 1 – Connect modem to cable outlet
   Connect one end of the coaxial cable to the cable port on your modem and other end to a nearby cable outlet.

2. Step 2 – Connect and power devices
   Connect one end of the ethernet cable to LAN port 1 of your modem and the other end to any port on your Wi-Fi pod. Plug the power supply for your modem and Wi-Fi pod into a power outlet. The light on the top of the Wi-Fi pod should proceed from yellow to blue, then remain steady on green. This can take about 5 minutes.
   If the light is red, reboot the modem and Wi-Fi pod by unplugging the power adaptors. Wait 30 seconds, then plug back in the modem. Wait another 30 seconds, and plug in the Wi-Fi pod.

3. Step 3 – Connect to Wi-Fi
   Go to Wi-Fi settings on a device you would like to connect, and search for available Wi-Fi networks. Select the Wi-Fi Network (SSID) and enter the password that matches those found on the bottom of your Wi-Fi pod.
