Correct Way to Use an Electronic Earmuff:
- Check the status of the earmuff
- Extend the headband before use
- Place the earcups over the ears with microphones in the forward position to obtain the best listening conditions
- Adjust the earmuff fit position by sliding the ear cups up or down on the side of the headband
- Power on and adjust the control to a pleasant listening level
- When not in use, please power it off and maintain the earmuff according to the construction instructions
Battery Installation (2×1.5v AAA batteries – one side only):
- Power off the unit
- Locate the external battery compartment and reveal the battery house
- Insert new batteries, making sure they are installed with negative (flat) end against the coil spring
- Recover the battery compartment cover evenly
- If this unit will not be used for extended periods, it is recommended that batteries be removed to reduce depletion of power and prevent damage from corrosion
Troubleshooting:
- Fails to Turn on: Replace the batteries with new size AAA Alkaline batteries. Do not mix new and old batteries. Make certain batteries are correctly positioned (note the direction of the positive + and negative -). Adjust spring contacts if necessary.
- Fails to amplify sound or not clear/distorted/motor-boating sound: Replace the batteries if the voltage is too low. Ensure that no broad band microwave devices, such as cell phones, are transmitting nearby.
- Humming or background noise: The microphone of the earmuff is very sensitive and can pick up low-level white noise sounds. Whistling (feedback) may occur if the volume level is set too high or if there is an obstruction near the external microphones. Turn down the volume to reduce interference or remove obstructions.
Storage, Care, and Maintenance:
- Clean the ear seal regularly with soap and water
- Keep the PCB board dry
- Store the unit in a clean and dry area
- Avoid excessive heat, such as storing in the trunk of a car during summer
- Any damaged components or parts can compromise the effectiveness of the device. Cease use if parts are broken or missing.

BLUETOOTH OPERATION
Bluetooth On
Short press the BT button to turn ON the Bluetooth and enter pairing mode
Bluetooth Off
Press and hold on the BT button for several seconds to turn OFF the Bluetooth
How to pair the Bluetooth
- Press and hold the BT button for 1 second to enter pairing mode
- Blue LED will flash(1-second intervals) during in pairing mode
- Search and select name” gills” in your device’s bluetooth menu to connect
- After being Paired, a blue LED will be flashing every 10 seconds Bluetooth device will be turned off after 60 seconds if the device doesn’t pair successfully phone call. To answer a call, short press the BT button
- To reject a call, press and hold the BT button for 1 second
- To end a call, short press the BT button
- During a phone call, if another call is received, double press the BT button to switch from the first call to the second call
- To switch back to the first call, shot press the BT button to end the second call and it will be switched back to the previous call
- Double press the BT button to redial the last phone number
