PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
The Kicker down-firing enclosures took the industry by storm as they offer great output in a form factor that allows them to be installed in many places and barely hinder the usable storage space within the vehicle. These enclosures are built tough and are capable of resisting high amounts of stacking weight. Fits under truck seats, and in cargo spaces in cars and SUVs with ease. The Kicker down-firing enclosures loaded with the CompVT series subwoofers are able to provide high value & high levels of output in a shallow form factor.
DOWN-FIRING LOADED ENCLOSURES
Comput Down-Firing Loaded Enclosures gives you big-box sound without taking up precious cargo space.
Stack Your Stuff
The high-output, thin-mount CompVT Down-Firing Enclosures are tough as nails. Load your cargo right on top of the sub for extra space- with plenty of bass! No grilles needed.
A Perfect Fit
A specially made motor for thin mounting and reinforced cone make the CompVT a perfect choice for big bass without a big box. With full perimeter venting and trademarked UniPlate back plate and pole piece, you have outstanding thermal management in an ultra-thin sub.
Better Boxes
Built for extreme bass, this KICKER sub box uses extensive internal bracing, thick MDF construction and custom embroidery. You get the kind of reliability and great looks that make showing off your bass easy- and awesome!
IMPORTANT SAFETY WARNING
- PROLONGED CONTINUOUS OPERATION OF SUBWOOFER IN A DISTORTED, CLIPPED OR OVER-POWERED MANNER CAN CAUSE YOUR AUDIO SYSTEM TO OVERHEAT, POSSIBLY CATCHING FIRE AND RESULTING IN SERIOUS DAMAGE TO YOUR COMPONENTS AND/OR VEHICLE.
- SUBWOOFERS SHOULD BE MOUNTED WITH AT LEAST 1 INCH (2.5CM) CLEARANCE BETWEEN THE FRONT OF THE SPEAKER AND ANY SURFACE.
- KICKER PRODUCTS ARE CAPABLE OF PRODUCING SOUND LEVELS THAT CAN PERMANENTLY DAMAGE YOUR HEARING!
- TURNING UP A SYSTEM TO A LEVEL THAT HAS AUDIBLE DISTORTION IS MORE DAMAGING TO YOUR EARS THAN LISTENING TO AN UNDISTORTED SYSTEM AT THE SAME VOLUME LEVEL.
- THE THRESHOLD OF PAIN IS ALWAYS AN INDICATOR THAT THE SOUND LEVEL IS TOO LOUD AND MAY PERMANENTLY DAMAGE YOUR HEARING.
- PLEASE USE COMMON SENSE WHEN CONTROLLING VOLUME.
- The KICKER KS speakers offer an excellent upgrade to your vehicle’s factory sound system, delivering great full-range sound at an amazing value!
- Whether dropping the KS speakers in a factory location or customizing your install, their high-efficiency design means less power is needed to play your music, while our use of advanced materials and construction techniques ensures optimal performance for years to come.

FAQs
Can a KICKER CVTDF102 replace a blown subwoofer?
No, we always repair damaged subwoofers under warranty with replacement speakers.
Do KICKER CVTDF102 speakers need to be broken in?
After being broken in, the new KICKER CompVR will operate at its peak bass, especially when utilised in sealed environments. Daily playing for one to two weeks will enable the suspension to mellow and achieve its ideal equilibrium.
Do you need an amp for the KICKER CVTDF102 subwoofer?
The sub box must be powered by an amp. Kicker sells amps to go with the sub, and I’m sure they have an inline connector to send the sound signal from your deck to the amp.
How does box size affect KICKER CVTDF102 subwoofer sound?
A smaller box raises the system’s Q and causes the resonance to peak. At that frequency, it can sound more boomy. In addition to providing more air spring and controlling the woofer more at other frequencies, a smaller box also reduces cone excursion and increases power handling, both of which contribute to a tighter sound.
What happens if a KICKER CVTDF102 sub box is too small?
If the port gets too small, it can cause port noise or let the woofer just stop loading. Never undervalue the sub-to-port configuration.
How do I make my KICKER CVTDF102 subs hit the hardest?
Your subwoofer can also receive small improvements to increase its impact. Replace the voice coil, the little cone in front of the subwoofer, or buy a new enclosure for the subwoofer. Just play your music with medium bass while turning the volume all the way down if you don’t want to put any work into it.
What is the best position for the KICKER CVTDF102 subwoofer?
The output of a subwoofer may rise if it is placed in the corner of a room, making the sub sound louder. See how it sounds by trying to position your subwoofer in a corner. However, if your subwoofer is too far from your listening location for your floor space, a corner might not be a good alternative.
Which way should a KICKER CVTDF102 subwoofer face?
The port of the subwoofer should be located away from a wall, and the speaker should be facing the room for the optimum sound quality. Although bass waves can travel in all directions, it’s crucial to position the speaker such that it faces your primary listening location.
How many KICKER CVTDF102 subwoofers do I need?
The headroom is always increased by two subs because they have a wider frequency range and less distortion. Additionally, they lessen output compression, which enhances the user experience in general. Therefore, when the levels are high, having two subs provides you a more precise and clean output.
Should I put my KICKER CVTDF102 subwoofer in the corner?
How to position it. Generally speaking, placing your subwoofer against a wall or in a corner will produce more bass, though perhaps not the best bass.
How long till I receive my speaker back?
After the goods is loaded into the computer, our aim is to process it and send it back to you within a week. If the model we are replacing for you is backordered, we are unable to guarantee this return time.
Can you lay a KICKER CVTDF102 subwoofer on its back?
Subwoofers that fire downwards cannot ever be turned on their side. They are designed to increase the bass by using the floor. A disproportionate quantity of bass will be amplified via the air if they are oriented on their side.
What makes a KICKER CVTDF102 subwoofer good?
A decent subwoofer requires an extremely linear driver (expensive), a precise and potent amplifier (also expensive), and a well-made cabinet (which is… expensive). Cutting shortcuts on any of these areas, however, is a waste of money.
