Role Purpose

You are a Data Professional at the beginning of your career, with experience of manipulating data in SQL and an understanding of the fundamentals of relational databases. You have a keen interest in all things data and are looking for your next role to grow your skills and knowledge. You will work within the Data Team and assist with the support and maintenance of our existing solutions.
You will be exposed to varied tools and techniques with opportunities for further development in a dynamic and supportive environment.

How this role fits into the business
This role is part of our Data Team which is an integral part the business both in respect of our product offerings and our bespoke data services that we offer to clients. The role will initially be to assist with support and BAU tasks for various data solutions, to allow the senior developers to focus on new requirements.

What we need from you

  • An appetite to learn
  • Create, support and manage data transfer routines (automated or manual)
  • Apply/learn appropriate housekeeping processes and tools to ensure clean, valid data is always maintained
  • Assist senior developers

Your everyday checklist

  • Assist the data team with Database admin tasks
  • Support and maintenance of client customer-centric databases
  • Assist with the integration 3rd party data sources
  • Support creation and deployment of data capture mechanisms
  • Carry out responsibilities in line with best practice and data protection requirements

Have you got what it takes?

  • Ability to write and schedule basic SQL queries from scratch or amend existing
  • Exposure to visualization tools e.g. Power BI/Tableau/Qlik/Looker/etc…
  • Ability to present data using appropriate tools
  • Excellent attention to detail ensuring high quality of work delivered
  • Office 365
  • Appreciation of data confidentiality issues
  • Willingness to learn
