OPERATION MANUAL INFARED NON-CONTACT

THERMO-CHECKER

Thank you for using this non-contact Infrared Thermo-Checker, 981K is a new design specifically for measuring forehead temperature. It can provide fast and accurate forehead temperature measurement, and more quickly screen out the body temperature among many people. The temperature range is 32°C to 43°C (89°F to109°F ). It has the functions of ambient temperature compensation and self-detection. It requires no contact, no earmuffs, no doubt about cross- infection of the ear canal, and inaccuracy caused by errors in the measurement angle of the ear canal.

[WARNING]

Please measure this product at an ambient temperature of 16°C -35°C in order to obtain accurate readings.
Keep your forehead dry and clean, no hair is covering to get the accurate measurements. The subject does not take a bath or exercise within 30 minutes to ensure accurate measurement.
If you use environmental state conversion and the temperature changes greatly, please place the measuring instrument in the environment to be measured for 20 to 40 minutes. After the sensor has stably adapted to the ambient temperature, a more accurate value can be measured. Do not use a sharp thing to touch the sensor lens.
The data is only for tracking reference, If you find a temperature error, double check with a clinical thermometer.
It’s important to study all instruction and warning before using.

[PARTS DESCRIPTION]

1. Test switch: press the trigger to start the measurement (the data is automatically saved, press the up and down selection keys to view the historical data, up to 32 sets of data are recorded, and the old data is overwritten by the new data in turn).
2. MODE key (MODE): short press the mode key to select the two temperature measurement modes of surface or human body. When measuring the body temperature, switch to the human body temperature measurement mode, and the LCD displays “body”. When measuring the surface temperature of an object, switch to the surface temperature measurement mode, and the liquid crystal has no “body” display. Long press the mode key to enter the function selection mode, and then short press the mode key to switch between F1, F2, F3, and F4 modes. (F1 is the Celsius / Fahrenheit selection, press the up and down selection keys to switch between Celsius and Fahrenheit; F2 is the beep selection, press the up and down selection keys to select on or off beep; F3 is the high temperature alarm setting, press the up and down selection keys to adjust the alarm Temperature (36.5°C-39.5°C) range; F4 is the backlight selection. Press the up or down selection key to select the backlight on or off.)Indicator light switch: Press it once, the indicator light is on, then press the indicator light off.
3. Up and down selection keys: In the state to be measured, press the up and down selection keys to view historical data, and make various selections in each mode. Record up to 32 sets of data, the old data is overwritten by the new data in turn.

[OPERATION]

1. Environmental description:
Recommend not to use in the sun or cooling room. and make sure the measurement area is clean and dry. Better not to measure in 10 minutes after sports, shower or heavy sweat to get accurate measurement. Before use the product, it is recommended that the measurement person take his body temperature to measure his own body temperature, and make a reference comparison with the amount of temperature measured by this product.
2. Measurement
Place the measurement sensor head as close as possible to the forehead. The measurement distance is within the range of 3-5 cm to obtain the most accurate temperature. Press the measurement button, and the temperature measurement value is immediately displayed on the LCD screen. After releasing the measurement key, remove the infrared gun. At this time, the measured value is kept on the LCD screen, and you can watch it closely.

3. Auto Power off: The device will be power off in 10 second inactivity, this design is for saving power and lasting battery life.
4. Replacing battery: One 9V battery is supplied with the device, when you see a battery icon “ ” appears on the left top of the screen, you have to replace the battery.
Open the battery cover, take off old battery and replace with a new one, then close.

※ Notes:

1. A person’s body temperature changes at different times of the day, and is also affected by other external conditions, such as age, gender, and skin color.

2. This machine provides a calibration mode (after removing the battery for 10 seconds, press and hold the No. 2 mode button for more than 3 seconds, and then install the battery. Do not release the No. 2 mode button during battery installation. After installing the battery, and After pulling down the switch and turning on the button, the screen displays 0.0 after releasing this button. At this time, the temperature can be increased or decreased by the No. 3 up and down selection keys. After adjusting the temperature, unplug the battery and power on again to enter the normal measurement mode. Increased or decreased temperature means that the measured value will increase or decrease accordingly. For example, the measured temperature is 36.5°C. When entering the adjustment mode and reduced by 0.5°C , the normal measurement mode is restored and the measured temperature is 36°C .) When the user finds the machine There is an error between the standard measurement value (preferably measured with a mercury thermometer), and you can enter the adjustment mode for adjustment. Adjust the temperature range to ± 3°C .

[TROUBLE SHOOTING]

This device is designed to get an accurate measurement for self-diagnoses on Forehead temperature within 32°C to 43°C (89°F to 109°F). If you intend to measure other objects other than human forehead, it won’t be recommend as though you may be able to see a reading under 32°C(89°F) or above 43°C (109°F ), the reading won’t be referred. “Lo” or “Hi” error message will appear once the measurement exceeds the temperature range.
The information “Lo” or “Hi” appears in the following situations for reference:

no obstruction during temperature measurement
Temperature is affected by air flow change| Make sure that the air remains stable during temperature measurements
The measuring distance is too far| Note the measuring distance (3-5) cm
Walk into the room from low or high temperature outdoors.| Wait for 30 minutes, after the subject’s temperature adapts to the measurement environment, then measure
