Welcome to Quantum Indoor

Quantum is a cloud-connected noise monitoring network for the continuous monitoring of indoor noise. This guide will show you how to get your monitors connected, and how to access them in the cloud.

Requirements

Power
Quantum noise monitors require connection through an Ethernet cable and a Power over Ethernet (PoE) socket. This can either be in the form of a powered Ethernet switch, or Power over Ethernet injector. This Ethernet connection will also provide your Quantum noise monitors with an Internet connection.
Network
For normal operation or initial configuration, Quantum noise monitors should be connected to a DHCP-enabled network. Please check with your system administrator if you are unsure whether your network is DHCP-enabled.

Subscription

To get the most out of the Quantum Indoor noise monitoring solution, a cloud subscription plan is required. Please see the Cirrus Research website or speak to your sales representative for details about the plans available and the functionality they include. A free subscription plan is available and provides basic features. To purchase or change your subscription plan, log in to your cloud account or contact your sales representative.

Initial Setup

Creating a Cloud account
Before you can connect your Quantum monitors to the cloud, you must have a registered account with Cirrus Research’s cloud platform. If you already have an Optimus Cloud account, you can move on to the next section. Visit Optimus- cloud.co.uk. Click on ‘Register’.

Connecting your Quantum monitor to the cloud
Connect the Ethernet cable from your Quantum monitor to a Power over Ethernet- enabled switch. After a couple of seconds, you will see an orange light. Before continuing with the setup process, wait until the light turns red.

Open your web browser and navigate to:
https://[serialnumber].quantumnoise.io.
Connect your instrument, and the setup wizard will appear. Follow the steps prompted by the wizard. If the wizard does not appear, click the rocket icon in the top-right of the screen. Follow the steps through to completion. If you have multiple units, you will need to repeat the steps in this guide for each other.
