hygger HG085 Titanium Tube Heater
hygger Titanium Tube Heater with Temperature Controller is suitable for both freshwater and saltwater aquariums. This heater is designed to be energy- efficient, explosion-proof, corrosion-resistant and easy to clean. Equipped with a temperature control system, it ensures a stable and consistent water temperature.
PRODUCT FEATURES
Material: The heater is constructed with a seamless tube made of TA2 aviation titanium alloy, which is treated with Teflon on the surface. The heating equipped with an external controller is made of ABS and features an LED digital display for temperature monitoring.
Functions: With a thermostat and an intelligent IC chip for precise temperature control, this heater offers over-temperature protection with a small error margin of ±1 °C /±2° F. If the temperature exceeds 95° F-97 ° F(36.1 °C), the heater will stop heating and display an error code E2. It is also rated with the highest waterproof level of IP68. Applicability: The titanium tube material ensures the heater is explosion-proof and corrosion- resistant, making it suitable for both freshwater and saltwater aquariums, coral tanks, and planted tanks. It is designed to be durable, easy to clean, and resistant to drops.
Energy Saving: The heater utilizes intelligent stop heating, which helps save energy and reduce power consumption. Once the set temperature is reached, the heater will automatically stop heating and maintain a constant temperature. It will resume heating when the temperature falls below the set level.
Safety: The external temperature probe and control feature ensure safe and convenient operation, eliminating the need to reach into the aquarium water for adjustment. The heater also provides Fahrenheit to Celsius conversion for user convenience.
Caution
- As shown in the figure below, fully immerse the heater and temperature probe in water and avoid exposing it to air.
- Before changing the water or removing the heater, make sure to turn off the power supply and allow the heater to cool down for approximately 15 minutes.
- Ensure adequate water circulation in the tank while using the heater.
- The external controller should be kept away from water to prevent electric shock or leakage.

INSTRUCTIONS
-
Step 1: Ensure that the heater and temperature probe is fully submerged in the water and avoid placing the sensing probe too close to the heater or in a stagnant area of the aquarium. It is important to maintain water circulation for accurate temperature sensing.
-
Step 2: After the heater is powered on, the external controller will display a number, which indicates the current water temperature. The controller temperature setting range is between 68°F-90°F (20 ° C-32° C). When the green indicator light is on, the water temperature has reached the set temperature and is at a constant temperature. When the red indicator light is on, the heater is heating up.
-
Step 3: The external controller can adjust the set temperature. With “+” “-“and “set” three buttons.”+” and”-” is to adjust the temperature plus or minus, “set” is the setting button. When you want to set the temperature, first press the set button, wait for the two indicators to flash, and then press the “+” and”-” button to adjust the number. Once the desired temperature is displayed, release the button. This heater has two temperature displays with Fahrenheit to Celsius conversion. Press and hold the “set” button for Fahrenheit
to Celsius conversion. -
Step 4: If there is an error between the temperature tested by other instruments and the actual temperature display of this product! You can press the +- key at the same time for 5 seconds, after blinking for +- temperature adjustment. Temperature compensation is set
according to the actual error! The maximum compensation range is ±5 ° C (°F)
WARNING
To avoid possible electric shock, do not immerse the switch in the water. If
the switch falls into the water or becomes wet, do not touch it until you have
unplugged it. Basic safety precautions that should be observed are as follows:
- Read and follow this user manual strictly.
- DANGER- To avoid possible electric shock, special care should be taken since water is employed in the use of aquarium equipment. For each of the following situations, do not attempt to repair yourself. Instead, return the heater to an authorized service facility for maintenance or discard it.
- If the heater show any sign of abnormal working or, unplug the power and remove the heater from the water after 15 minutes.
- Carefully examine the heater after installation. It should not be plugged in there is water on parts that are not intended to be wet.
- Do not operate the heater if it has a damaged cord or plug, is malfunctioning, dropped or damaged in any manner. The power cord of this heater cannot be replaced. If the cord is damaged, the heater should be discarded.
- To avoid the possibility of the heater plug getting wet, position the aquarium and its stand to one side of a wall-mounted outlet to prevent water from dripping onto the outlet or plug. A “drip loop”, shown in the figure below, should be arranged by the user for each cord, which connects the heater to the outlet. If an extension cord is used, the “drip loop” is the part of the cord below the level of the outlet or the connector that prevents water from traveling along the cord and coming in contact with the outlet. If the plug or outlet does get wet, DO NOT unplug the cord. Disconnect the fuse to the circuit breaker that supplies power to the heater. Then, unplug and examine for the presence of water in the outlet. If you are not sure, consult a certified electrician.
- Close supervision is necessary when the heater is used near children.
- This heater is not allowed to use by persons (including children) with reduced physical sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge unless they have been given supervision or instruction concerning the use of the heater by a person responsible for their safety.
- To avoid injury, do not contact moving or hot parts.
- Always unplug the heater from the outlet when not in use, before putting on or taking off parts, maintenance, or placing hands in the water. Never yank the cord to pull the plug from the outlet. Grasp the plug and pull to disconnect.
- Do not use the heater for other than intended use. The use of attachments not recommended or sold by the appliance manufacturer may cause an unsafe condition and will void the warranty.
- Do not install or store the heater where it will be exposed to extreme weather or temperatures below freezing.
- Only use the heater in freshwater or saltwater, do not use it in other liquids.
- Make sure the heater is securely installed before operating it.
- Read and observe all the important notices on the heater.
- lf an extension cord is necessary, a cord with a proper rating should be used, such as rated amperes or watts. A cord rated for fewer amperes or watts than the heater rating may overheat. Care should be taken to arrange the cord so that it will not be tripped over or pulled.
- The 2-conductor power cord has a polarized plug (one blade is wider than the other.) As a safety feature, this plug will fit in a polarized outlet only one way. If the plug does not fit fully in the outlet, reverse the plug. If it still does not fit, contact a qualified electrician. Never use it with an extension cord unless the plug can be fully inserted. Do not attempt to defeat this safety feature.
- The heater is intended FOR HOUSEHOLD USE ONLY.
- SAVE THIS USER MANUAL.
