STAINLESS STEEL ELECTRIC KETTLE

Please read through the warnings and instructions before using this product to avoid injury to persons or property loss and retain it for future reference.

Danger!

  • This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children) with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge, unless they have been given supervision or instruction concerning the use of the appliance by person responsible for their safety.
  • Not a toy! Never let children play with it.

Warnings!

  • Do not immerse the kettle, its power cable, and socket or power base into water to avoid hazards.
  • Pay attention to the escaping steam to avoid scalding.
  • Do not touch hot surface.
  • Keep the lid closed when the unit is working to avoid scalding.
  • Do not use extension cord. Use accessories recommended by the manufacturer only.
  • Never try to repair the unit by yourself. Send it to the nearest authorized maintenance center for repair.
  • Do not hang the power cord over the countertop. Keep it away from heat surface. Keep it in the cord holder when not using the kettle for a long time.
  • Do not put pin, iron wire or any other items into the kettle or power base to avoid electric shock.
  • Cut off the power when there is no water inside the kettle, not in use or before cleaning and moving it.
  • Use this product on even and stable surface only.
  • Keep away from heated surface to avoid damaging the plastic parts.
  • Do not place the unit onto any other electric appliances.
  • Use a socket with a rated current of 10A and voltage of 120V. Make sure it is earthed.
  • If the power cord is broken, ask the manufacturer, its maintenance center or similarly qualified personnel for change.
  • Use the unit for the intended purposes only.
  • Do not fill water higher than the max level line to avoid water overflow.
  • Use the included power base only.
  • Keep the unit away from stove to avoid fire hazards.
  • Do not leave the working unit unattended.
  • Unplug the power plug before moving the unit.

Before Using the Kettle

1. For the initial use, wash the body thoroughly and wipe it dry.
2. To deodorize, follow instructions in the manual to boil the water in it.
3. Drain water. The unit is ready for use now.

Using the Kettle

1. Press the Lid Release Button to open the lid.

2. Fill the kettle with water no higher than the max water level line or lower than the min line.
3. Press the lid to close it.

4. Put the body back onto the base and connect to a power source. All the LED indicators will flash once and the water level indicator will keep on.
The device is in standby mode now with a beep sound. The water level indicator will turn off if there is no operation in 5 minutes.

5. Tap the Set Button to set the temperature (default: Boil / 212°F) with a beep in each tap. The LED indicator will light up accordingly. Once set, tap the Start / Stop Button to start boil.

6. Tap the Keep Warm Button to activate the keep warm function where the temperature of the boiled water will be preserved for 30 minutes. Tap it again to disable the keep warm function.

Warning: During or right after the boiling, do not touch the body or be exposed to the escaping steam in case of scalding.

Boil-dry Protection

In the event that the kettle boils dry, it is protected by a boil dry fail- safe mechanism. It will switch the kettle off automatically when sensing a boil dry situation and keep it switched off until the kettle is refilled with at least the minimum amount of water. Always allow the kettle to cool for at least 10 minutes before reuse if the kettle has boiled dry.

Cleaning & Maintenance

Warning: Always unplug the kettle from the socket and allow it to cool completely before cleaning or descaling it

Follow the instructions below to clean the kettle:

1. Open the lid, add in 0.5L / 16.9 fl.oz white vinegar and set aside for at least one hour.
2. Drain the vinegar. Wipe the interior with wet and soft cloth.
3. Fill the kettle with water and bring it to boil.
4. Drain the boiled water and rinse the kettle 4 to 5 times.
5. Wipe the exterior of the body with dry and soft cloth.
6. Store the unit in dry and well ventilated place.

Caution

  • Regularly remove water scale deposits from inside the kettle based on how frequently the kettle is used, especially in areas with hard water.
  • Abrasion of the kettle may cause malfunction or damage to the parts.
  • Do not immerse the kettle or power base in water.
  • Before use, make sure the power cord, power base and the body are all dry.
  • This device is FOR HOUSEHOLD USE ONLY.
