Safety regulations

  • Failure to observe the following safety instructions can lead to serious and even fatal injuries! To operate the device safely, users must read and understand the instructions carefully before using it for the first time.
  • Follow all safety instructions. Otherwise, you and others could suffer injuries.
  • Retain the application and safety information for future use. The device may only be used if it is functioning normally.
  • Only use the device in accordance with the safety instructions and technical requirements spec-ified in the manual.
  • The semi-solid and solid form of the devices is designed so that they can be used in the house and in the garden, e.g., for spray water and irrigation.
  • Use the device only within its performance range. Do not use the device if the switch does not turn on and off.
  • The device must not be used for supplying water or for transporting drinking water.
  • Do not use the device in a room that contains flammable or combustible liquids or gases.
  • If components that have not been tested or approved by the manufacturer are used improperly, there is a risk that the device may suffer unforeseen damage.
  • Any application that deviates from the intended use specified in the instructions is considered improper. The manufacturer is not responsible for any problems caused by this and is not within the manufacturer’s scope of liability.
  • Please ensure that the closed device cannot accidentally start up.
  • The device must be connected to a properly installed and earthed socket.
  • There must be a safety line that interrupts the current if the fault current exceeds 30 mA.
  • Make sure that the power supply meets the requirements for connecting the device.
  • Do not kink, pull, or pinch the power cord; otherwise, the cord may break.
  • Check the plug and power cord before use. If the power cord is damaged, unplug it immediately. Do not use the device if its power line is damaged.
  • If the device is not used, switch off the device and pull the plug.

Commissioning

  • If you want to permanently install the device, screw it onto the foundation support with four screws.

  • If the device is used for the garden pond or for a swimming pool in the garden, it must be par-ticularly stable and straight so that it cannot overflow, tip over or fall to the ground.

  • Set up the device in a well-ventilated area to avoid the effects of weather. If it is operated inside a room, make sure that the floor is equipped with a drainage channel or is protected against leakage.

  • Please check the suction hose before commissioning and make sure that it is airtight. If air is sucked in, the device can leak, which can cause it to fail.

  • e suction line must be laid in such a way that no mechanical forces or stresses can act on it. If dirt builds up in the pipe, install a filter for cleaning and protection.
Caution: We recommend installing a non-return valve to prevent the system from shutting down due to dry running.

  • To avoid leaks, all connections of the suction line must be sealed, e.g., with hemp rope or seal-ing tape.

  • Seal the connection of the metal pipe thread with sealing tape.

  • Have all components of the suction line installed by a specialist.

  • The inside diameter of the suction line must be at least 25 mm; the suction line must not kink and must be suitable for suction.

  • Since the transport capacity decreases with increasing pipe length, the suction line should be as short as possible.

  • Lay the suction line with a steady rise to avoid the formation of bubbles.

  • Make sure that enough water is available for the suction line. The connection of the suction hose must always be completely immersed in the water.

  • All components of the pressure line must be pressure-resistant and may only be installed by specialists.

Operation

The devices can be permanently connected to the pipeline system (e.g., internal household water sup-ply). In this case, the device must be connected to the pipe system with the highly flexible hose to avoid vibrations. Risk of injury! If the components cannot withstand the pressure or if the installation is incorrect, the pressure line may flake off during operation. Danger from leaking liquid! Risk of electric shock! Donot operate the device in a damp environment. Attention: The device is only connected to the municipal water supply. A toilet or washing ma-chine may not be used to supply drinking water! The device may only be operated if the following points are observed:

  • The device may only be connected to an earthed socket. This must be installed, grounded and checked by a qualified electrician.
  • The power supply and the fuse protection must correspond to the information on the nameplate and the technical data.
  • The device must be equipped with a protective device with a triggering fault current of less than 30 mA if the device is operated in a swimming pool, in a garden or in a comparable location.
  • In the case of operation outdoors, the electrical connection must be splash-proof. The device must not be operated in water.
  • The extension cable must have a sufficient conductor cross-section. If an extension cable that is wound on a cable drum is used, it must be completely unwound from the cable drum.

Risk of equipment damage! The pump must be primed with water when the device is reconnected. A device running dry can be damaged if the dry run is not recognized and rectified immediately.

Filling and suction

61540
Please ensure that there is sufficient pressure if the pump has recently been completely emptied and restarted.

  1. Pull out the power plug.
  2. Open the pressure line to completely drain the water.
  3. Loosen the plastic valve on the front of the pump head. The air control valve is located on the back of the plastic valve.
  4. Connect the compressor hose to the air control valve.
  5. Wait until the filling pressure corresponds to the technical specifications.
  6. Reconnect the devices, check their function and increase the pre-charge pressure.
  7. Clean the filter after use.

61541

  1. Unscrew the pump cover.
  2. The pump must be completely filled with water.
  3.  Refit the filter and screw on the pump cover and the sealing elements.
  4. If necessary, shorten the suction time by also filling the suction hose with water.
  5. Open the pressure line (tap or nozzle) so that the air can escape during the suction process.
  6. Switch on the device.
  7. Switch off the device when the water is discharged evenly.
  8. Clean the filter after use.

Maintenance

  1. Pull the power plug before maintenance work.
  2. The user may only carry out the maintenance and repair work specified in the operating instruc-tions. Other defects may only be remedied by specialists.
  3. Use only original parts. Only these spare parts have been specially developed and manufac-tured for the device. Using other spare parts will void the warranty. You or your surroundings can also be endangered. Risk of electric shock! Please disconnect the power supply before servicing the device.
Caution: All seals must be replaced when components are removed.
