Before First Use

Operation

7.1 Mains Operation
NOTICE Do not use the product with & socket-outlet and batteries at the same time. Remove batteries before connecting the product to mains power.

  1. Connect the power adapter to the DC IN socket.
  2. Connect the other end of the detachable power adapter to a suitable socket-outlet.

7.2 Battery Operation

NOTICE

  • The batteries are not included.
  • Do not power the product by the power adaptor and batteries al the same time. Unplug the product from the mains
  • Always insert batteries Correctly with regard to polarity (+ and -) marked on the battery and the product.
  1. Open the battery compartment.
  2. Insert 4 x 1.5 V batteries (type AA/ LROG, not included).
  3. Chose the battery compartment.

7.3 Initial Time Setup

  1. Set the ON/OFF switch to ON. The display flashes:

7.4 Basic Controls

7.4.1. Adjusting the Antenna
For radio function, fully extend the antenna. If the signal is weak, adjust the position of the antenna for maximum signal strength.

7.4.2. Adjusting the Volume
Adjust the volume by rotating the Volume/ SELECT knob:

Press and hold the ****/Mode button. The product switches to standby. The display shows then the date and time.

7.5 FM Radio Mode
7.5.1.Station information
Press Menu/info button on each station to display various information:

NOTICE – Once a full scan of the stations is done, the respective information is shown on the display.

7.5.2. Selecting FM frequencies

  1. Press Mode button repeatedly until is shown on the display. The display shows the currently tuned frequency.
  2. To change stations:

7.5.3. Storing FM stations
You can store up to 20 preset FM stations.

NOTICE If the chosen preset slot already has an existing FAV station stored, the new station would over write the previous preset.

  1. Select the desired FM station.

  2. Press and hold the Preset button. The display shows:

NOTICE If the SELECT knob is not pressed in a timely manner, the inputwd selection will not be saved.

7.6.1. FM Scan Setting

  1. In FM mode, press and hold the Menu button.

  2. Use or to find .

  3. Press the Volume/SELECT knob to confi selection.

  4. Use or to select the desired setting:

    (Scans all avalable stations)

    (Scans for stations with strong signals)

  5. Press the Volume/SELECT knob to confirm selection.

7.6.2. FM Audio Setting

  1. In FM mode, press and hold the Menu button.

7.6.3.System Settings

Sleep setting
The sleep setting can be used to set a timer for the product to automatically switch off after a certain set time.

  1. Press and hold the Menu button in any mode.

  3. Press the Volume/SELECT knob to confirm selaction.
  4. Use or to select .
  5. Press the Volume/SELECT knob to confirm selection.
  6. Use of to select the Gesred sleep time (15 – 90 minutes or off).
  7. Press the Volume/SELECT knob to confirm seiecton. The selected sleep time minutes is shown on the display (e.g. S15), and & counts down until the racko enters into standby mode.

Time Settings
The time settings can be used to change the options regarding time and date.

  1. Press and hold the Menu button in any mode.

Display Backlight Settings
The display backlight settings can be used to set the duration and the brighiness level of the display.

  1. Press and hold the Menu button in any mode.
  2. Use or to select .
  3. Press the Volume/SELECT knob to confirm selection.
  4. Use or to select .

7.7 Bluetooth® Mode
[NOTICE]   There must be no obstructions ( Le. wail in the ine-of sight path between the product and the connecting device.

7.7.1. Pairing
[NOTICE
] Biustooth® pairing is required if the product is used the first time with a new Bluetooth® enabled device.

  1. Press Mode button repeatedty unti is shown on the display.
    The ****icon blinks during pairing mode.

  2. Activate the Bluetooth® function on the playback device and search for a new device.

  3. Select ONN S from the ist on your device. When the devices are connected. the product emits a voice prompt “Bluetooth connected successfully”.

To end the Biuetooth® connection, do one of the following:

  • Tum off the Bluetooth® function on the playback device or press and hold the Select knob. The product emits a voice prompt “Bluetooth disconnected” when the product is disconnected.
  • Select another mode to play.

7.7.2. Bluetooth® Playback

  1. Start the music playback on the audio device.
  2. Press or to sip a track forward or backward.
  3. Achust the volume with Volume/SELECT knob.

7.8 DAB Radio Mode
[NOTICE] If there is no DAB reception ai any time, change the position of the unit or adjust the antenna.
When tine radio is switched on for the first time, ft automatically does a full scan for DAB Stations. The kst of stations is then stored, eliminating the need for another full scan when the radio is tummed on next time.
When the scan is complete, the stations are stored in alphabetical order. The fest available staton wil be played back.

7.8.1. Changing DAB Stations

  1. Press Mode button repeatediy until is shown on the daplay.
  2. Press or to navigate avaiable DAB stations.
  3. Press the Selection button to confirm.

7.8.2. Auto Scan in DAB Mode

[NOTICE] New stations and services are acided to the stored DAB stations.
In order to make new DAB stations and services available on the station, run a full scan at reguiar intervals.

  1. In DAB mode, press and hold the Menu button.
  2. Use or to find <Full scan.
  3. Press the Volume/SELECT knob to confirm selection.
  4. The product scans all avadabie DAB siations and plays the first available station.

Alternatively, press the Scan button to activate auto scan function.

7.8.3. Displaying station information

  1. Select a DAB station.
  2. Ouring DAB radio playback, press the Menu button repeatedly to display the following information (if available):

7.9.2.Setting Alarm
[NOTICE
] The set time and date are Geleted when the product is without power.
Before setting an alarm, make sure the time on the product is correct.

  1. Press the Alarm button to access the folowing options:

  3. Use or then press Select to set the desired duration of the alarm (10 – 60 minutes).

  4. Use or then press Select to set the desired alarm tone.

    The buzzer sounds as the alarm tone.

    Use or then press Select to set the desired DAB radio preset or <Last listened> to set the last played DAB fadio station as the alarm sound.

    Use or then press Select to set the desired FM radio preset or <Last listened> to set the last played FM radio station as the alarm sound.

  5. Use or than press Select to set the desired alarm fraquancy:

    The alarm is activated Gay.

    The alarm is activated only once.

    The alarm is activated on Saturdays and Sundays.

    The alarm is activated from Monday to Friday.

  6. Use or  then press Select to set the desired alarm volume.

7.9.3. Snooze Alarm
When the alarm sounds, press Select for a 10 minute snooze penod.
7.9.4. Switching Off the Alarm Tone
When the alarm sounds, press the Alarm button. The alanmn turns off.
7.10 Connecting Headphones [NOTICE] Wnen the headphones/ earphones are connected, the speakers are muted automatically.

  1. Rotate the Volume/SELECT knob anti- clockwise to the lowest volume.
  2. Connect the headphones to the 3.5 mm headphone socket.
  3. Achust the volume by rotating the Volume/SELECT knob.
Problem Possible Cause Solution
