Do I need to adjust my Philips stand steamer’s settings per garment?
See whether you need to adjust the settings of your Philips stand garment steamer per garment below. All settings are safe for your garments Your Philips stand steamer is safe to use on all fabrics at any setting. If you are not getting the steaming results you want, you can increase the steam setting for more steam power
Should I wash my Philips Stand Steamer’s mat/board cover?
The mat or board cover that comes with your Philips Garment Steamer should not be washed. Washing it would damage the foam material in it. If you would like to clean your mat or board, please use a moist cloth.
Should my Philips Garment Steamer's tank be emptied after usage?
We recommend you to empty your Philips Garment Steamer's water tank after using it. This will help prevent the formation of calcification and algae.
Is the garment steamer safe to be used on all my clothes?
Yes, your Philips garment steamer can be safely used with any setting on any garment. It will not burn them. Water leaks out from the base of my Philips Stand Garment Steamer If water is leaking from the base of your Philips Stand Garment Steamer, please find possible causes and solutions below. Secure water tank cap and de-calc knob Make sure that the water tank cap is completely closed (turn clockwise to lock) and the de-calc knob secured by turning it to the lock position. Insert water tank correctly Please make sure that the water tank is correctly placed and the water tank cap aligned. Steamer head and/or steam hose left in low position When the steamer head and/or steam hose are left in low position for a long time (≥5 mins), you may notice water leaking. In that case, please lift the steamer head to straighten the hose vertically. This allows pressure to be released inside the tank. Note: Avoid steaming at low position. Low water level in water tank If the water level inside the tank is low, it will allow pressure to be built up inside. Remove the water tank and fill it at least up to half full.
