APPLIANCE DESCRIPTION

About this appliance

The Tristar PZ-9131 is an electric hot pot and grill set suitable for cooking different types of food. The centre griddle can be used for grilling food. The outer ring can be used for hot pot cooking, deep frying, fondueing or boiling food. The appliance is equipped with a thermostat for easy temperature regulation. Easily adjust the temperature with the rotary thermostat switch.

Intended use

This appliance is intended for indoor use only. This appliance is intended exclusively for domestic, non-commercial use. This appliance is intended to be used in household and similar applications such as:

  • staff kitchen areas in shops, offices and other working environments;
  • farm houses;
  • by clients in hotels, motels, and other residential type environments;
  • bed and breakfast type environments.

This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children) with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge, unless they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance by a person responsible for their safety. Any use of the appliance other than described in this user manual is regarded as misuse and may cause injury or damage to the appliance and void the warranty.

WARNING

  • Never use the appliance near explosive substances.

  • Never replace the power cable yourself. Always let the manufacturer, its service agent or a similarly qualified person replace the power cable.

    Fire hazard due to overheating:

  • Always place the appliance on a stable, flat, heat and moisture resistant surface.

  • Never leave the appliance unattended when in use. Only use the appliance under supervision. Switch off the appliance and remove the power cable from the power outlet when you leave the room.

USE

Before first use

Clean the griddle A1, grease collector A2, and hot pot/deep fry/fondue/boiling compartments A3 with a soft, damp cloth.

Preparation

Place the appliance on a stable, flat, heat and moisture resistant surface with a minimal of 15 cm free space around the appliance.

Using the appliance

When using the appliance, some noise may occur. This is normal and is caused by the heating element of the appliance.

  1. Plug the power cable A4 into a power outlet.

  2. Set the rotary thermostat switch A8 to the desired temperature.
    The thermostat indicator LED A7 lights up when the appliance is heating up.

  3. Wait 5 – 10 minutes for the appliance to heat up.
    The appliance is ready for use when the thermostat indicator LED A7 switches off.

The thermostat indicator LED A7 switches off and on during use, which means the automatic temperature regulation is active.

CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE

Clean the appliance after each use.

  1. Unplug the power cable A4 from the power outlet.

  2. Let the appliance cool down.

  3. Unplug the thermostat plug A6 from the appliance.

  4. Clean the griddle A1, grease collector A2, and hot pot/deep fry/fondue/ boiling compartments A3 with a soft, non-scraping sponge and a mild detergent.
    Very dirty parts of the appliance can be cleaned by rinsing them with hot water to loosen persistent dirt.

  5. Clean the thermostat plug A6 with a soft, dry cloth.

  6. Dry all parts with a soft, dry cloth.

STORAGE

  1. Unplug the power cable A4 from the power outlet.
  2. Let the appliance cool down.
  3. Store the appliance in a dry and enclosed space and in the original packaging to ensure safe storage and protection against dust, moist or other filth.

DISPOSAL

Follow the local regulations when you need to dispose the appliance. To prevent possible harm to the environment or human health from uncontrolled waste disposal, recycle the appliance responsibly to promote the sustainable reuse of material resources.
