IMPORTANT SAFETY PRECAUTIONS

Only EVER use this electrical appliance for its intended purpose as a small commercial refrigerator.
Never unplug your refrigerator by pulling on the power cord. Always grasp the plug firmly and pull straight out from the wall outlet.

  • Only use a correctly qualified technician to perform any repairs or service work
  • Immediately repair any electric service cords that have become frayed or damage. Do not use this appliance if there is damage
  • Unplug the refrigerator before cleaning or making any repairs.
  • Do not use appliance near explosive fumes
  • Do not use the appliance outside
  • Do not attempt to service this electrical item yourself unless you are a fully qualified technician
  • The power supply must be properly grounded
  • Do not use adapter plugs or extension cords
  • Do not use appliance in or near a bath, shower or swimming pool (please don’t do this!!!)
  • Before discarding or storing, we recommend you remove the door and leave the shelves in place. The reduces the possibility of danger to children.
  • WARNING : Gas work is ONLY to be performed by a HRC Licensed Technician
  • WARNING : Equipment is only allowed to transport and place in the normal way, during transportation please avoid heat
  • WARNING : Equipment should be installed in a well-ventilated place, avoid larger thermal radiation (eg near heaters or heating equipment
  • WARNING : Do not use mechanical devices or other means to accelerate the defrosting process
  • WARNING : Do not damage the refrigerant circuit
  • WARNING : Do not use electrical appliances inside the food storage compartments of the appliance
  • WARNING : Do not store explosive substances such as aerosol cans with a flammable propellant in this appliance.

Installation

  • Clean the inside first, drying it thoroughly
  • The refrigerator temperature is effected by the room temperature, the frequency and duration of door openings, the internal fridge load and the temperature of product loaded into the fridge
  • Operate this fridge on a flat surface. Avoid tilting
  • If the fridge is tilted, allow it to sit for 30 minutes prior to use Keep the unit 2 cm away from walls
  • Avoid direct sunlight
  • Do not cover the top grid with any objects

Unpacking

  • Remove all packing material. This includes the foam base and all adhesive tape
  • Inspect and remove any remains of packing, tape or printed material before connecting to power.

Levelling the Refrigerator

  • There are four levelling legs which are located in the front and rear corners of the refrigerator. After properly placing the refrigerator in its final position, level the fridge.
  • Levelling legs can be adjusted by turning them clockwise to raise your refrigerator or by turning them counterclockwise to lower your refrigerator. The fridge door will close easily with the levelling legs are extended.

PRODUCT PARTS AND FEATURES

HOW TO OPERATE THE REFRIGERATOR

  • Insert the power plug into wall outlet
  • To adjust the temperature turn thermostat Knob inside the cabinet (for models with manual thermostat)
    Temperature Control

The inner temperature ranges from 0 to 10. You can turn the thermostat knob to have your desired temperature. Turn the knob clockwise; which the position varies from 1 to 6, you can get a lower temperature inside. Turn the position to 0; you will switch off the appliance. Refer to Figure 1.

Normal Sounds you may Hear due to the refrigerant circulating through the Colling coils

  • Gurgling
  • Slight vibrations

The thermostat control will click when it cycles on and off.

REVERSING THE DOOR (OPTION)

How to reverse the door

  • Remove the lower hinge by loosening and removing the screws with screwdriver
  • Carefully lower the door and remove it
  • Move the pivot pin to the opposite hole on the lower hinge
  • Move the pivot pin from the left top hinge to the opposite hole on the right top hinge
  • Remove the two screws from the right holes in the bottom cross bar
  • Take the door. Insert the lower hinge axle into the right bottom hole of the door; make the right hold of the door into the right top hinge axle
  • Adjust the door; make it straight and in alignment with the cabinet
  • Fix the lower hinge with two screws
  • Cover the left holes in the bottom cross bar with two screws

Note: As the door gasket gets pressed-in during shipment, after reversing the door, the gasket may need to be reset to avoid air escaping. If there is a gap between the cabinet and the door gasket, set the gasket by gently pulling it out to  seal the gap. If necessary, you are recommended to use a hairdryer to warm (or relax) the gasket to get rid of the gap

CARE AND MAINTENANCE

To avoid electric shock ALWAYS unplug the appliance before cleaning.
Do not use harsh chemicals, abrasives or solvents or scouring pads. Some of these chemicals can seriously damage your refrigerator.
When cleaning

  • Unplug from the wall
  • Remove all contents
  • Wipe the inside and outside surfaces with a damp cloth. The addition of vinegar to the water is good for the prevention of mould and fungus
  • Wipe all parts thoroughly after cleaning

When the fridge is not in use, ensure it is completely dry to avoid mould growth and if possible and safe, leave the door open.

LIMITED WARRANTY

As a condition of any warranty service obligation, the customer must present evidence of ownership by way of the original purchase invoice. Orford Refrigeration offers 12 months parts and Labour warranty. Warranty does not cover consumables such as gaskets and lights.
WARRANTY DOES NOT COVER

  • Damage to the refrigerator while in the possession of the customer not caused by engineering defect or material defect
  • Damage caused by customer misuse, tampering or failure to follow instructions
  • Damage caused by repairs or alterations of the refrigerator by anyone who is not authorised by Orford Refrigeration
  • Contents of the fridge, ie goods stored in the fridge are not covered by warranty

ALL WARRANTIES, INCLUDING ANY IMPLIED WARRANTY OF MERCHANTABILITY ARE LIMITED TO CLAIMED DURATION. THE MANUFACTURER DISCLAIMS ANY LIABILITY FOR CONSEQUENTIAL OR INCIDENTAL DAMAGES.
